Iāve heard people complain about the increase in American attendees leading to changes in behaviour and vibe.
I have attended every Shambhala from 2013 - 2025 and while I noticed changes, they seemed more generational than American and I never explicitly saw Americans behaving worse. All the Americans I meet seem more or less like Canadians.
What have your experiences been?

I know shambhala has changed so much. And it is ok. We get to listen to a lot of great artists But I have recently been trying to remember some of my favorite sets from way back and Mike relm has stood out so much. Sorry showing my age. But does anyone else have any old school favorite sets

I read in the rules that generators and idling your vehicle is not allowed (understandably), however, I saw a LOT of both of these things this year whilst walking to and from downtown.
Iām curious is this rule no longer in effect or is it just not enforced? And what are people doing for electricity in trailers/RVs without it?

My experience this year was incredibly flawed and yet I find myself here missing being there. Despite all the drama and the Gahdamn heat, I would do anything to be there again. Iām in love with the fact that being from Vancouver, this magical festival is in my own province (even if the drive is almost 9 hours).
I really wish I was able to meet more people this year. I think maybe I was in my head with the heat and issues in my group. But also I was shy, not that I couldnāt get a conversation going but I just felt like I was struggling a bit. I find that sometimes when Iām alone at an event, Iām more likely to approach people and I get approached more. With how magical it felt being around so many people and just feeling so incredibly safe, idk I wanna be back there. I wanna make more friends, I want to spend more time with people making memories, getting high even ahaha side note: people said it was easy to find stuff, baby girl I was struggling!!! Like genuinely Shambs wasnāt showing me the way ahah always next year though.
But yeah I wanna go back I wanna make friends and I wanna bring more trinkets! I canāt explain how happy I was to receive shambhala branded trinkets, and I want to give that to people. I donāt know where to begin though! I donāt have a 3D printer and besides Kandi and perlers, I donāt know what I can give that would be extra special! Iād love to hear ideas and how was your experience meeting people? Even spending time at camps just hanging out would be amazing!
If you read through this, much luv. Shambhala was a beast, it was hot and next year Iād like to wait til later to drive home to go til 9am because man, is it worth it to be in those trees feeling that bass with the people around you.
TIL next year farm, I cannot wait for the magic in 2027. This world needs more plur š

Hiii!! 2027 will be my first Shambhala š I typically pour my energy into Bonnaroo, but since they are taking a fallow year I decided Shambhala would be a festival that felt as close to Roo as I could get. I already have my ticket & my group is doing glamping! Iād love to hear any tips or any culture aspects about Shambhala! Ex: at Bonnaroo, Friday is high five Friday.
So so excited for this experience!!

Hey Farmily!
I know weāve got a long wait ahead of us until weāre on the farm next year, but I was really excited to share that Iāve now got schedule sharing working in Dancing Decibels (ShambaTimes)!
Itās been one of the most requested features over the years, and I was finally able to sit down and get 'er done without requiring anyone to create an account, which was a really important aspect for me.
When you share your schedule, it will share your favorites as well as their rankings. Youāll be able to see your friendās entire schedule on the favorites tab, their names will appear on all the lists/profiles (when artists have a profile), and on the grid thereās an indicator of how many friends will be there and you can see who with a tap. You can also filter on a specific friends schedule on the grid. If you've added multiple friends, you also can see which friends match on each friends schedule on the favorites tab.
There are three ways to share/add friends to your schedule
Anyone you share these with can then access your schedule and get updates.
If you download/update the app you can check out my schedule from 2026 and play around with it.
App: https://www.dancingdecibels.com/download-mobile
My ScheduleĀ https://www.dancingdecibels.com/friend/1cddb08f2ad36ea8018903819dbf04e9
When you share your schedule, if you leave automatic updates enabled and the event isnāt too far in the past, when you open/close the app itāll update any schedule changes and send a silent background push notification to everyone whoās added it. Their apps will also be checking periodically when they open the app, or can be manually refreshed.Ā Itās not quite real time, but itās pretty close if you both have internet and they have push notifications enabled.
Iād love to hear what everyone thinks of the feature, and thereās plenty of time to tweak and improve things between now and next year.Ā
Also if youāre heading Breakout West in Victoria next week, or Woodstove Music Festival in Cumberland this November, youāll get your first chances to use it in the wild for real!Ā Iāll be adding Breakout West to the app as an unofficial schedule in a few days.
P.S - The new release has some big performance improvements on the grid, and I added fling capabilities a few weeks ago!
Cheers
Ben

We all know itās not about the lineup but Iād just love to see them! I attended my first Lost Lands this year, which had The Pegboard Nerds on the lineup but they couldnāt make it because of US visa issues. They were my most anticipated artist so this really broke my heart, been dreaming of seeing them live for over a decade. Shambs being my favorite festival and being in Canada it could just maybe happen! I also caught Krewella who seem to be making a comeback and it was my favorite set of the weekend! Would also love them at Shambs + itās always great to have more female artists on the lineup.
Lost Lands was a good fest and all but thereās no place like home, returning to the farm is always the highlight of my year! I miss you all so much and am counting down the days till next time. Sending you love you farmily <3

Hey everyone! I reached out to Sales about a month ago and have not received a response back - I figured I would post and see if anyone else has had the same issue.
I arrived Wednesday morning around 6am and paid the price of Tuesdays early entry fee (as the prices had not changed over yet). I paid with Debit and the machine made the reject beeping sound. It proceeded to do this for two others in our group, so a friend paid all of our fees with his Credit Card. Then, as we left the payment booth, I checked my statements and as I suspected all 3 of us were charged on our debit cards separately.
Has this happened to anyone else and if so, who/how did you contact Shambhala for a refund?

Hello! I volunteered this year and completed all my hours, and received an email weeks ago that my refund was being processed. However, I have not gotten it back yet. I have emailed them twice now with no answer. Any other volunteers who are waited on their refund?
UPDATE: got an email back saying that they processed my refund but some error with the payment company caused me to never get it. At least they responded, still waiting on the money tho

Hi everyone! Does anyone have the legit link for shambs resell? Iāve used camp mudshark in the past and itās been great so I pointed friends in that direction for this year but the admin is selling in USD and it seems a bit off? I also was not in this group but was in the group last year so unsure if itās a fake group? TIA and canāt wait to see everyone on the farm again next year š»ā¤ļø
Update: the page my friend was looking at was a scam and they copied the official mudshark page that weāve used in the past which can be found here.

Why doesnt shambs book trance, or breakbeats? A trance stage would be great to go chill and melt away to when you need to back off, and breakbeats are a great way to get hyped and the party started

What dj/group/artist was the biggest name to play the festival? I know tiesto never has, taken fold backed out for health, but what names blew your mind they were there?

was looking to get a rough range/estimate for booth cost in zone 2 so i can figure out the costs etc & prepare ahead of time before applications open.

The last two years Iāve attended I have not seen any artist merch sold. Does shambhala just not allow artist to sell their merch?

I am finally making the trip from Southern Ontario to Shambs next year! this has been on my bucket list for 10+ years and i am already so excited.....
I have my tickets, and am honestly a little overwhelmed with figuring out all the other things (i.e. flights, car rentals, what to do about gear) and am all ears for any advice from the vets that have done this before :) I really want to make this as comfortable and special as possible for my crew š
I am a relatively seasoned festival goer, however this will be the farthest from home I've travelled for a festival. Yes, I know this is super early to post, just trying to wrap my head around what else I need to get organized ideally well before go time š„³
if you've made it this far, here are some of my first questions:
best place to fly into?
Would you recommend renting a car for the whole festival or taking the shuttle in? if you take the shuttle, how much gear are you able to bring?
Any suggestions on where to take gear that won't make it home? Happy to donate and help outfit someone else, within or outside the festival!
How soon should I think about booking flights, rides, accommodations etc..
If renting a car, is it easy to get a rental for Shambs or should I leave where I am taking the car out?
Appreciate any and all tips! Looking forward to meeting all of you in 309 days!!! (but who's counting š)
