So, when it comes to a comparison of the 2026 Seahawks to the 2025 Seahawks, I've thought of some interesting statistics...

  • The victory over the Cardinals was similar (31—7 in 2026, 44—22 in 2025).
  • The home loss to the 49ers was by a small margin, decided by only three or four points, and just a few mistakes (turnovers) in both cases. However, why was our defence so effective at grounding their offence in 2025 (with just 17 points allowed even when fully healthy) and not so much this time (32 points allowed)? And how did our offence score 29 points instead of the 13 last time? You can't use injuries as an excuse, I'm comparing Week One of 2025 to Week Five now, so injuries are minimal.
  • And finally, the most confusing aspect... how did we not only beat, but blow out, the Commanders in Washington, DC in 2025, and then lose to the same team (allbait by a small margin) in 2026? All signs point to the Commanders actually being worse this season than last season, so that does not make any sense.
