This video in particular is soo far off mark. I doubt that the drunk guy put a cone on any statue for political reasons but he seems to think so and takes offence at a cone on a statue with Scottish history?

I don't think he assumed the original drunk was doing it for political reasons. He just thinks putting a cone on a statue is disrespectful to the subject of a statue and therefore OK when done to a statue of someone like Wellington but not OK when done to a statue of someone more worthy of respect.
