To get help please be aware of Rule IX. All posts should include TV make and model. A full Make & Model helps ex Samsung 55 or Samsung Q6 doesn't help but Samsung QN55Q60TAFXZA Version # FA02 does tremendously help

I have a Bad Screen (Cracked or other)

CRACKED OR BAD SCREENS CANNOT BE REPAIRED!

It costs more money in parts + labor than it does to just buy a new TV!

Horizontal Lines that do not move = Bad Panel (Bad Screen)

Single Pencil Thin Vertical Lines = Bad Panel (Bad Screen)

MY TV's picture moves vertically in a weird manner = Bad Panel (Bad Screen) due to Bonding Tabs

MY TV is Boot Looping

Bad Panel (Bad Screen) OR Bad Main Board

My TV has this weird display how do I get rid of it?

Most likely your TV is in Demo/Store Mode

TV's older than 10 Years should just be replaced at this point. Part availability is also questionable.

Purchasing US What the heck is the QN90H?

It's listed on Best Buy and Sam's Club. There is some AI crap review on YouTube from earlier this year, which doesn't look like the TV on the two aforementioned websites. Anyone have Intel on what the QN90H is all about compared to the QN80H?

Purchasing US Samsung 65" Class KS9800 Curved 4K SUHD TV UN65KS9800FXZA faded to black and won’t turn on

Post image

We were watching TV at my friend’s house and a few minutes into our show the tv faded to black from the top to bottom like if a curtain was falling and now the screen is just black. The audio was there for a bit but now it’s not there. We have power cycled a few times and verified the cord is not faulty.

Tech Support Why is it dimming ???

Post image

Why is my qn65s95b dimming so much on already dark shows??? I already have all power saving settings off but I don’t know what else to do beside continuing to exit and renter apps on my Apple TV. I can barely see anything, the picture doesn’t do it the most justice. I think it’s only when using Apple TV but I don’t use other streaming devices. Any ideas ?

Purchasing EU/UK Samsung S90F: strange artifacts that persist with no HDMI signal, gone after a hard reset. What is this?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi all,

I’m seeing some odd artefacts on my Samsung S90F, 65" and can’t figure out what’s causing them. Photo attached. Looks like horizontal gridded lines across the whole screen.

What I’ve noticed so far:

The artifacts stay on screen even after I unplug the HDMI cable, so the source device doesn’t seem to be the cause

They also show up on the TV’s own menus including “No Signal” screen

A hard reset (holding the power button for a few seconds until the TV reboots) makes them disappear completely

After that, they come back after a few days of use including gaming

Setup:

Model: Samsung S90F, 65", latest firmware

Source: PS5 Pro via HDMI [port number]

Picture mode: Game mode / HDR on

TV age: 2 months

My questions:

Is this a known firmware or processing bug, or a sign of a panel / T-con board issue?

Since a hard reset clears it, is it safe to assume it’s not burn-in or permanent damage?

Is this worth a warranty claim, or should I wait for a firmware update?

Tech Support Black line of death?

Samsung 85-Inch Class QLED 4K Q60D Series. A thin black line appeared a few days ago. Yesterday it became a very thick black line. I tried a Hard Power Reset. The thick line reverted back to a thin line. Then, this morning, the line had completely vanished and the screen is back to normal! I'm wondering if my unit is toast. I passed the 1 year warranty in July. Reseating or replacing the internal T-Con could be an option or maybe the TV had a miracle and fixed itself.

Purchasing US Samsung S90H

I see a lot of hate for this TV online, but it appears that the panel is the same as the LG C6H at least for the 77" version. What are your thoughts on it? I'm on my 2nd faulty C6H in 2 weeks and reluctant to give it another chance. I do have a bright room, so I guess that is another reason to look at a matte TV

Purchasing US do you all recommend Samsung over TCL and LG?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I have had every type of tv- expensive and budget and they all eventually lose picture and get those horizontal lines. Tv in my bdrm is a 75 inch LG I had for 5 yr and now horizontal lines- I need a 75 inch to go in LGs place .. Should I get
TCL 75 inch Q series 75Q51k
Vizio 75 mini led quantam 4k
LG 75 UA75
TCL 75 QsLR
samsung. 75 M70HB?

I also plan on getting 4 yr warranty so when this tv goes out it can be replaced- I will also get professional install and mounting. Tv is just a tv to me- I watch peacock mostly- i feel like they all go out at 5 yrs .

Out of nowhere a 3” blurry white streak appeared at the bottom center of the screen. The intensity changes with screen color. Any fix or is this nearing the end after only 4 years?

Tech Support S90H Blu Ray Resolution Error

Post image
1 Upvotes

My LG Blu Ray player is plugged into my Onkyo NR646 Receiver which is plugged into my TV.

This is the screen I get.

Google suggests it's and HDMI handshake error so I tried their suggestions to fix it: unplug everything, update firmwares, swapped in newer cables.

Nothing has worked.

When the Blu ray is plugged directly into the tv, it works. My Apple TV 4k, routed through the receiver, works fine. My PS4, routed through the receiver, works fine.

Why does only the Blu ray player not work?

Tech Support Black Uniformity on Samsung Neo QLED QN73H 65"

Samsung Neo QLED QN73H 65"

Purchase date: 9 October 2026.

Hello All; so I recently bought this Samsung Neo QLED QN73H 65" on Amazon due to a prime day deal. I wanted to ask you all about the black uniformity on these devices. As per the photo I attach to this post, is this normal? Or should I file a warranty claim? I’ve read online that due to the panel technology some light bleed is expected but I wanted your input and experience.

Thank you much appreciated.

Purchasing US Frame Pro or S95H

Trying to decide on which model to get. We have an old Frame in the hallway currently (43”) which is nice because it shows our wedding picture majority of time, but if security cameras detect motion they display on it.

We are now looking to replace an old 87” from 2020 in the living room and can’t decide on the 2 above models. Wife loves how the frame sits right up against the wall and how it can display photos of our own or art with the art mode.

Living room has a wall of windows to the right of the tv which is east so daylight all the time but especially in the morning. We do not use blinds or curtains as we like having all the natural light.

From what I have read the models have a lot of the same features, the only difference being QLED vs Micro RGB. So the S95H has the RGB and is a tad bit brighter, but is is also brand new tech. Crisper colors as well, but is that worth it knowing that new tech always has issues.

Purchasing US Is this a price glitch?

Post image
0 Upvotes

When you go down to select to Add to Cart it says 50 or 42 but everything else on the page and the support associate told me it’s the 85 inch. What if I order it and it’s the wrong size after they told me it’s correct?

No way I want it go through all the trouble if they send me the wrong size. This is too good to be true.

Purchasing US Is a Samsung S95H 65” display model worth $1,200?

I found a 65” Samsung S95H for $1,200, but it was a store exhibition/display unit.
The price seems really good for an S95H, but I’m a little concerned about the fact that it has probably been running for many hours every day in the store, especially since it’s an OLED.
Would you guys consider it worth buying at $1,200? What should I check before buying it? Should I be worried about burn-in, panel degradation, or the total number of hours on the TV?
Would you buy the display model at this price, or spend more for a brand-new one?
Thanks!

Purchasing AUS/NZ Remote buttons "getting stuck"

Hi

Not sure the right terminology for this. New tv for parents. Second one (first one sent back for not turning on issues). Less than a week old. Essentially thought it was a remote button getting stuck issue. Bought universal remote with big buttons for aging parents and hasn't helped.

Essentially whenever press a button, on either remote, press button once and the tv acts like its been held down ie, press the volume up button and it goes up 3 or 4 points; press the move sideways on the menu and it moves 2 spots, press the mute and it mutes and then unmutes.

If it was an old keyboard I would presume the button got stuck and unstick it. But its happening on the universal remote as well as the original for the tv (and I even took the batteries out of the original).

Is there a way of reducing the sensitivity of the buttons?

Tech Support Samsung UN55J6201 SN: 059C3CXHA17890E software update question

Hi Everyone,

I was given this 11 year old Samsung as a 3rd TV in our spare bedroom. It gets a solid picture and works pretty well so I am happy with it.

It kind of falls on its face with the SmartTV functions. I can't install anything new on it. I has just the basics : Netflix, Prime Video, and a web browser. I cannot seem to add other apps to it.

It states that the latest software update was in 2017 and it is up to date. It is version 1110.1. I was looking to see if there was any way to install a more recent update.

I figure if I can't do that, I will just throw a streaming stick in it. Thank you all for the help and have a great day!!

Respectfully,

George D.

Purchasing US Upper part of the screen is dark, lower 3 quarters is fine

Upper part of the screen is dark, lower 3 quarters is fine

Purchasing US

65" QLED, Model number QN65Q7FDAFXZA. TV is only a few months old. Bought brand new, in the box. Tried all online trouble shooting (hard reset. Unplug for about 20 minutes). Tried diagnostic testing on TV (the video and picture shown during troubleshooting is fine).

Besides "buy a new TV", any suggestions?

Purchasing US Recs for HDMI cables from S95H?

Hello all. Just ordered a 77” S95H and have seen different recommendations for HDMI cables. What are the specs I should look for? If it matters I’m not a gamer. Mainly cable tv and streaming movies.
