Asking for feedback Too much primer
So I laid the primer on a little too thick on my kill team captain and then dropped him, he ain’t lookin’ so hot guys. How do you guys salvage a bad primer job?

Hi all, this is my first try at painting a salamander, really happy how he ended up, wish I had the new transfer sheet so the chapter icon was orange instead but sadly.. cc welcome
Some things I know already, some mold lines are still visible ä, only saw them after I started to paint and I know the number on the right shoulder is not centered 😅

ATV count as mounted and vehicle.
- large movement, T6, 8W. Perfect.
- both can use Multi-Melta. Bolters will clear chaff.
- Ironstorm can let it re-roll stuff or you use Stormlance for mobility. Or double down on both.
- Vulkan can also bump its strength up or Forgeseekers can buff it too so they are S13 Meltas on fast moving body
- Ironstorm enhancement gives them 5 Invulnerable and healing. Lose one bulky ATV? It revives one after. Strats give them Lethals against Monsters and Vehicles.
I will be playing 2 units of 2 because it is funny as a fast moving punchy shooting unit that could be a action monkey

Hey Guys, I am currently building a fun forgefather's seekers and gravis siege force list for an upcoming 36 player tournament and am unsure of how much anti-tank to use. In my current list I have two sets of three eradicators, but that is about it, so I think I could use more like a gladiator lancer or maybe a dreadnought? Anyway, I would love to hear how much everyone else uses.

Thought it would be fun using a mini of the month from a while ago to make an ex-deathwatch Phobos Captain (or lieutenant I suppose)

I have 6 chonky Aggressors with flame gauntlets. I like them a lot. I am sad to say this. They don’t seem to benefit much from the gravis detachments. Terminators just seem better now, with the better armor save and invulnerable save. I am thinking about buying some terminators and assault terminators with shields and thunder hammers. The assault terminators would sit on an objective. I would have normal ones with an ancient to secure objectives and move on after all rapid ingress, reinforcements, and deep strikes are done. Or just keep the ancient with the assault terminators, they would a pain to remove from an objective with an ancient. The terminator detachment seems worth it, considering all the strategems and detachment rules. Am I missing something? What are the benefits of Aggressors vs them? Will GW nerf them?

I'm considering swapping out my aggressors with a max squard of Sternguard veterans and wanted some opinions
As of 11th edition
A squad of 6 aggressors cost 180 points
A squad of 10 sternguard veterans cost 210 points
With Forgefather's Seekers and Vulkan hestan buff
The Flamestorm gauntlet has (including blast 2 and ability)
5A 0BS 8S -1AP 1D with twin linked
The Pyrecannon (including blast 2)
6A 0BS 9S -1AP 1D
Sternguard veterans can also get the artificer firearm (using the Melta profile)
1A 3BS 12S -3AP D3+2D
30 flammer shots vs 12 flamer shots + 8 Melta shots (or 32 boltor shots)
Do yall think the increased flexibility of the Sternguard is worth it over the Aggressors?

Worked on this for the r/Dealhammer painting contest. Thought it'd be a fun challenge and a huge first learning experience. Tried freehand on it as well and hopefully it turned out well. Thanks for checking it out!

With a few small touch ups and the basing to go, super happy with how Vulcan has turned out

Hey Brothers, need some feedback
In the final parts of this paint job and the base has me stuck. I can just dry brush some highlights on the rocks and then varnish and be done with the base but another part of me wants to keep touching up the lava streaks and maybe even mordant earth the small rock outshoots. I’m also trying to finish this model and keep moving as my first game is coming up and time is short. (I won’t be finishing everything on time . . .)
He’s supposed to be striding through the lava like the absolute unit he is with the lava flowing down.
Feedback is much welcome, included some of my army’s other units for basing reference because I want it to fit the vibe.

I’ve got an impulsor either blade guard and adrax in it. Based on the 2 excerpts, my interpretation is that the impulsor can advance, disembark the BG, and the BG will not be able to charge until the end of MY TURN. Can I use the blade guard to heroic intervention in my opponents turn? I’m getting mixed answers in my research but the wording states end of turn and not end of battle round so I think I could.

Hello,
So far I have mostly engaged with the lore and have played space marine 2. But I am looking to start with the hobby. I have an fdm 3d printer which will do for the beginning. Lorewise I really like the salamanders and T'au. Because I have heard a lot of people complain about the T'au I think I want to start with the salamanders. I want to print 2 small squads to play combat patrol with friends.
So tldr:
I am looking for advice on factions that are a fun match for the Salamanders in combat patrol and are suited for beginners

Question in title. Im still working on piecing together an updated Salamanders list. Off the rip people seemed pretty hot on Eradicators and Aggressors, but Im curious what people's experiences have actually been now that the Codex has been out about two weeks. Are they notably improved, or are they still the paper tigers they were pre-codex?
My OCT and early NOV are pretty booked up, so Im not likely to get a match in any time soon. I'd love to hear about other people's experiences. Im bouncing between Forgefather’s and Assault Brethren/the Gravis detachments/Terminator Stormforce. I know recent tournaments have seen Salamander success running tons of Impulsor + Eradicators and Gladiator Valient spam, but that's just not my style.
