Some hard hitting truths from Lee Cohen in GB News
If these charades continue, for its own sake, the Palace should take more robust action, the columnist writes
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, two private citizens, are going to Nottingham today on a visit that reeks of a quasi-royal appearance.
In the process, they are projecting a status they no longer occupy.
Hardly surprising for a couple who crave relevance, whose currency is image.
They will smile, they will pose — and the photographs will convey a message no honest headline could print: that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are royal again.
They are nothing of the sort. They hold no office. They perform no public duties. They represent no one but themselves.
The Palace has said so in writing, on the King's instruction: last month Buckingham Palace spelt it out, as widely reported — private citizens, their work not undertaken on behalf of the Royal Family.
That is the official position, on the record. And because he knows full well the patterns of his son and daughter-in-law, the King felt the need to reiterate it.
Like everything the Sussexes do, this is choreographed stagecraft.
Of all the cities in Britain, they chose Nottingham — the city of their first joint appearance in 2017,
In 2017 the visit was official, backed by the whole apparatus of the Crown.
In 2026, the apparatus is gone and only the scenery remains — same city, same photo opportunities, none of the authority.
Allow me to remind you what they surrendered, because the entire performance depends on you forgetting it.
In January 2020 Queen Elizabeth refused the half-in, half-out arrangement — the status without the duty.
In March 2020 the curtain fell on their official engagements. They set aside the HRH styles. Six years later, the King confirmed it in writing: private citizens, full stop.
Every one of those choices was theirs to make, and they made them — loudly, profitably, on television.
when the crowds swooned and the flags waved.
Their supporters call the parallel a “synergy,” and one should take that word at face value: synergy as strategy.
What they want now is to keep the airs without the consequences and obligations.
Here are the facts. The police operation that attends a genuine royal visit is no longer theirs to command.
Joint appearances will be rare, by their own account — because, again by their own account, Ms Markle’s priorities run to family, then business, then the acting career, with charity fitted in around the edges. Read that list again.
Then read some headlines calling Thursday a “return to public duties,” and ask yourself who is being served: the charity, or the brand.
Ah, the brand. The lifestyle label bound for Britain, the scripts being read, the slow, expensive laundering of a reputation.
None of it is illegal. All of it is commerce. But commerce dressed in the borrowed robes of duty cheats the public, which the headlines invite to take a photocall for an official visit and a marketing schedule for public service.
Since I am American, allow me to suggest a parallel. Picture a former congressman — six years out of office, no committees, no office in the Capitol — renting a hotel ballroom, mounting a dais, banging a gavel, and issuing “findings” while the press takes notes with straight faces. America would laugh him out of the building.
We even have a name for the lesser offence: stolen valour, medals worn but never earned.
Britain needs no new statute for Thursday. It needs only the decree the palace has already published: private citizens.
And if that proves insufficient, then removal of titles and place in the succession and erasure from the Royal Website would be prudent.
“But it is charity,” comes the objection. Very well: let the charity be judged as charity. A private donation needs no crown.
What the charities do not need is to be cast as extras in someone else's rehabilitation drama, their good work converted into backdrop for the brand.
And what the public does not need is to be told that showing up with a camera crew is the same as serving the Crown.
It is the half-in, half-out model with the serial numbers filed off — the arrangement the late Queen forbade and the King has re-forbidden.
Let's not mistake this event for a restoration. It is a theatrical revival of the status the couple resigned, played before an audience they hope has forgotten it. But the public have not, and the Crown has not.
But if these charades continue, for its own sake, the Palace should take more robust action.
Harry and Meghan quit the Crown. Now they want to rent it by the day. The Crown they quit is not theirs to borrow back.

Sean says there’s a segment of the press that enjoys the Harkles’ show.
But this bit from The Sun was pure cruelty 😈🤣🤣🤣
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsY52EbWrz4
Yep, Sean is right: here they are—two unemployed people cosplaying as royalty.
What surprised me is that Sean was right yesterday when he said they were desperately rounding up fans who happened to be in Nottingham. Yes, that’s exactly what happened. I didn’t think the Harkles would stoop to such a level of shamelessness. I guess I’m still a bit naive! 😳😳😳

Well, Sean works near The Park restaurant in London—less than 10 minutes away from Kensington Palace, I believe. Claw was supposedly with George Northwood, his trusted stylist and friend.
I’d like to know: didn’t this George notice anything about his friend and client’s hair? Because Harry’s alopecia has a counterpart in Claw’s hair. Beyond just becoming increasingly sparse, it’s clear that her hair is falling out; it’s in terrible condition—the ends are all split and dry, it’s extremely frizzy, and the length is uneven. That hair screams "tons of stress." I know this because, at one point, I started losing large clumps of my own hair—I even went to get medical tests done because I was terrified it might be the Big C.

The Park restaurant hasn’t been open for very long; the area is quite run-down these days.
Sean was there a while back because he was offered a job, there so that Sean would recommend that restaurant—but he didn’t—and he says it’s an incredibly expensive restaurant. I’ve already learned that someone who buys their books at charity shops isn’t exactly a reliable authority on what counts as "incredibly expensive" 🤣🤣🤣

It doesn’t seem expensive to me. I wouldn’t pay to go there either 😁, but honestly, Claridge struck me as more expensive.

Well, it turns out the man in the foreground is Shawn Sachs, from Sunshine Sachs.
Claw wanted to be seen with him, following what happened with Ari Emanuel.

Yesterday, Sean mentioned that it would be interesting to see which members of the press showed up in Nottingham.
Now, Sean says that some press did attend, but they were second-tier—practically interns. They were there to cover the event, but no top-tier journalists were sent, so as not to make it too obvious that they support the Harkles.
In fact, there were more freelance photographers looking to sell their photos.
Now, around the 5-minute mark, there’s a video from Sky News—they frame things as if there were a great deal of enthusiasm to see the "Harkles," whom they refer to as "members of the royal family."

Now, according to what Sean says, people didn’t arrive with flowers. The Harkles’ organization handed flowers to the people so they could give them to Claw.
Yeah, I totally believe that part of the gossip 😆😆
And then there’s the other matter: the press was expecting a statement saying that the Harkles were happy to be back in the UK. It seems Harry said it once, but Claw didn’t want to say it.
As the day progressed, the "Harkles" sought to overshadow royal events. Yet, it did not bother Harry in the slightest that his father was attending an event today to commemorate the Aberfan disaster. The Aberfan disaster was a tragic collapse of a coal mine waste tip that occurred on October 21, 1966, in the Welsh village of Aberfan. It claimed the lives of 144 people—116 children (most of them pupils aged 7 to 10) and 28 adults.
For Harry, it was more important to head out to Nottingham today because... because... because... well, just because.
Claw, for her part, clearly couldn’t care less. She believes she can do whatever they want—provided they have some form of protection that makes them appear "royal." Yes, British—your money was spent in Nottingham.

Sean is blunt when asked, "How successful was this?"
His answer: it was detrimental.
The impression left is that this was a royal tour. Many people around the world will see it that way—and that’s all that matters to the Harkles: the mere appearance of it. But when you pay attention to the details, things get ugly. Take, for instance, the fact that Harry opens the car door for "Claw." The person who actually holds importance is Harry, not "Claw"—yet she makes him scramble to open the door for a third-rate cable television actress (🗡🔪 🤣🤣🤣). Sean doesn’t use bad language on his show, but man, when he wants to twist the knife, he really drives it all the way in.

People will say that Harry wants to be gentlemanly toward his wife. But Sean says let’s not kid ourselves: that’s Claw making it clear to the world that Harry does whatever she wants.
Now, Harry wanted to show KC3 that he and Claw can do the work that William and Kate don’t want to do: royal tours. In particular, it seems Harry has set his sights on what happened in the Caribbean. In this, Harry is following the same path as the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. But it seems Harry doesn’t understand what KC3 told him: NO.
Well, Claw got what she wanted: camera time. And now she’s focused on launching *As Ever* in the UK, thanks to Sunshine Sachs.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sf9hIXCYXkY
Sean is neither a Labour supporter nor, by any stretch, "pro-woke."
If there’s one thing that seems to bother him, it’s vegans—in one video, he compares them to the "Harkles" [Harry and Meghan], describing them as the kind of annoying people you shouldn’t invite—and, of course, the TV personalities who go around giving speeches.
Laura Tobin from ITV talks about the weather, but she constantly brings up climate change—which wouldn't be a bad thing, if not for the fact that her co-presenter, Andy Peters, travels all over the world, and she says nothing about it. In other words, there’s an inconsistency in her narrative.
Just like in the Cate Blanchett case.
Because it’s true—there are many people fed up with those lectures from individuals who pollute more than all of us combined.
But the situation involving Cate Blanchett has escalated a bit, because a member of parliament, Nick Timothy, is criticizing her online.
Personally, I couldn’t care less, since these politicians are just the type to jump on any bandwagon.
But, unfortunately for Cate, it turns out that this representative is pushing a bill called the "Cate Act."
And it’s unfortunate for her because it’s a bill that many people would actually support.
Celebrities like Cate Blanchett want us to take more illegal immigrants.
She lives far away from places like Piddington and Barnham.
So here's a modest proposal: Cate's Law.
Put illegal immigrants in the homes of celebrities and tax people like Cate to fund it.
I’m not saying this will go anywhere—and this isn’t an endorsement of the congressman; I actually think the "woke" crowd and politicians are cut from the same cloth—but Sean has a point: many people are fed up with celebrities and their contradictory political opinions, where they’re always telling us what to do, while never applying those same standards to themselves.
Sean says he learned that Cate Blanchett is indeed concerned about how this has escalated; she isn’t making any statements and doesn’t want to cause any harm to William. It’s not that actors and actresses don’t have opinions—it’s just that, why is it that their opinions always end up pointing to something *we* have to do?
And just now, with William’s trip to Mumbai, India, coming up in November 2026—specifically for the Earthshot Prize—we’re seeing people who aren’t just giving speeches, but who are actually out there getting things done.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKTiXoDfJN8
I didn’t comment on the previous video for political reasons. Sean posted one regarding the issue of Harry being "banned" in London—Harry Potter, that is—due to J.K. Rowling’s opinions. I’m mentioning this so you know it’s about that topic, not about Harry.
However, I shared the previous video (a summarized version) because William has to deal with many situations and with people who are extremely complex—the "Harkles" among them.
October 22nd is approaching. There will be a hearing to determine how much the Harkles will have to pay. Sean points out that if the Harkles realized what they were doing, they would have kept a low profile all this time. But they haven’t; instead, they even use the very same tabloids for their own self-promotion.
Why does the Daily Mail keep playing along with the Harkles’ games?
Because that’s show business.
But this is, too

Many people grew tired of being sold lies—that there would be no advertising, that quality would be prioritized, and so on. None of that turned out to be true, and now Netflix is facing a crisis.
That is the problem with Hollywood discourses.
Sean might feel sorry for the people losing their jobs, but he feels no pity for Sarandos. I mean, the guy actually believed that Claw could sell anything. She’s a con artist, but she’s incapable of selling a thing.
Now, Claw is no longer focused on Netflix, but rather on Sunshine Sacks—an agency that is back in the picture. Sean confirms that they did have a falling out, and it seems there were indeed issues regarding invoices. But that’s show business: if there’s a deal to be made, they’ll be back working with the Harkles.
Because the whole business with Harry and the Guards was Sunshine Sachs’s idea.

And the trip to Nottingham, too.
Now, Sean says that going to that restaurant, The Park, seems to have been a promotion for the establishment. Since Claw manages to get the press to publish such things, the restaurant ended up getting publicity thanks to Claw.
Claw believes that this might lead that restaurant—or perhaps The Claridge—to take an interest in her jams, given the publicity they’ve received thanks to her.
That is why, as Sean says, Backgrid reappeared. And there is more to it than that.

Do you see it? Sean is right: Claw looks like Casper. Very pale. That’s not what should be played up.

So, all of a sudden, she’s more tan now.
Sean says that Claw suddenly became 43% Nigerian again, thanks to some airbrush touch-ups 🤣🤣🤣🤣
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OY6Plfoq_t8
The Australia project was WME’s final undertaking. And it was a failure.
Harry and Claw believe that things will go better for them with Sunshine Sachs.

The problem is that the Harkles returned to the UK without a plan.
And nothing is going well. Starting with the fact that there is no interest in seeing the Harkles. And that’s because it’s not just the British Royal Family that’s fed up with the Harkles; the public is, too.
In Montecito, Harry spent his time playing video games—a detail a staff member shared with Sean. He and Claw could simply ignore each other, as Claw did whatever he pleased in California.
But now, back in the UK, they’ve had to live together again, and they’re finding it very difficult. Harry now spends his time in Soho in Costwolds.
Harry spends hours there—6 to 7 hours. He doesn’t talk to anyone; he just spends his time with his Mac. On the other hand, Hary has been in London looking for his old friends.

And Claw is very bored in the UK. She’s bored because she believes that whenever she goes out, it should be a front-page event—but it isn’t. So, she invents those front-page stories herself. Just like what happened with the Claridge’s affair.
Claw has no life in the UK and doesn’t want to live there. But Harry is facing a problem: he actually *does* want to talk to people—he wants to engage with others—but they don’t want to talk to him. A source from Soho says that Harry tries to strike up conversations with members of that club, but they refuse, fearing what might end up in the press afterward. That is the image they have of Harry.
So now there’s a tug-of-war going on between the Harkles. Claw is getting increasingly bored, while Harry spends his entire day at an exclusive club.

When did the King take sweeping steps; removing the Titles from Andrew and his Grifting ex wife? Not after the photos of Andrew with Epstein, the Newsnight Interview or the payoff to Virginia Guiffre. It was not until the king himself was heckled about Andrew at a public engagement. Then suddenly all the BS of “only Parliament can remove Titles” and “The Queen gave Andrew a 100 year lease on Royal Lodge” blew up in a matter of days; on the Kings orders.
Today, Darling Boy and Meghan stole all the Press attention from the King and Queen in Wales; and many Welsh hecklers shouted “NOT MY KING” at Charles.
The next few days will be very interesting. Charles bottom line has always been himself. IWill Harry and Meghan keep their Titles and places in the Royal Website after this?

DISCLAIMER: This is an opinion post with some screenshots of Twitter posts that I enjoyed. I can’t promise that my post won’t be sarcastic, snarky, or funny. So, it’s all three flairs in one! ☺️
So, thank God the circus is over. Imagine if it had lasted three days, like it did in Australia! 😭Phewww
When I see HAM out and about, pretending to be ROYAL, I usually lose my cool. I start by expressing my anger at KCIII, and then I go on and on and ON about how annoying these two are. But yesterday was different. I had a checklist (which I posted here), and the Markles ticked off almost 80% of it, lol. Even I was surprised by how calm I was while laughing at these two trying SO, SO hard.
None of their interactions felt natural or organic. Everything was forced and dramatic. It was actually funny. I mean, how long can you keep this up!? 😂
It’s sad, really. They tried everything: being royals, socialites, a business couple, a reality TV couple, producers, investors, authors… NOTHING. I mean, NOTHING worked for them. Now they’re back to doing what they actually hated doing, in a country they hated and trashed (and continue to do so).
They’re NOT content. They want what everyone else has, they’ve lost their peace, (and money) and it shows on their faces. They’ve both aged so badly, and it was awkward seeing her practically dripping in foundation and makeup.
So, what did they actually achieve yesterday? A few awkward, cringeworthy photos and some headlines? And how is any of this going to help them or anyone?
Well it’s definitely not going to help the charities trust me! But, she’s already helping herself by posting these private visits on her private Instagram account. In a few days, or perhaps even today, she’ll introduce or reintroduce more products and see whether the paid crowd and cheering translate into sales.
And, obviously, when the stats reveal how disliked she is, she’ll head to Smart Works (probably taking H with her) before packing up and returning to the US for a while. Her base will always be America. She wants to be liked there. She’ll cosplay Royal in the UK and sell jams in the US. Well, TRY to sell jams in the US. 😂
I’m not going to read too much into a bunch of disabled elderly people and schoolchildren showing up to see two private celebrities. We know, and most importantly, THEY KNOW, that the crowd wasn’t necessarily a genuine reflection of public opinion.
She likes the idea of being liked again, but she knows it’s not going to happen on the scale she wants. That’s why she set the stage through Kelly Three Names, love-bombing the UK and suggesting she’s loved. 😂 Talk about wishful thinking!
And let’s not forget that some of the worst dictators, and war criminals in history had fans and still have followers. Blake Lively, Amber Heard, and even Yoko Ono have their fan bases. Having fans doesn’t automatically make someone universally loved or more importantly respected. Cameras can create an impression. Organisers can arrange appearances, and people can be brought out to greet two celebrities. But what does any of this actually achieve? Does it benefit the people involved? Does it translate into meaningful public support? Does it even benefit Markle in the long run?
I don’t think so. NOT WHEN THESE TWO ARE INVOLVED.
She tested the waters in Australia and, quickly realised she wasn’t as popular there as she might have hoped. Now she’s testing the waters in the UK. After King Charles made it clear that they were private citizens, she needed to clap back and prove that she was still loved. LOL. The Prove it Game everyone!
She’s vulgar, she’s toxic, she inhales and exhales drama, and she doesn’t seem to know how to live a peaceful life.
They can’t keep this up forever. It costs money and time, and it requires a ridiculous amount of liaising and organising. HAM still haven’t learned how to do Royal engagements properly. If they had, they would have succeeded in the last six years and wouldn’t have to return to the UK essentially back at square one.
So, I suppose we’ll have to get used to seeing them emerge from hiding every now and then. Maybe once a month, maybe once every three months. Who knows? 😂
We’ve seen this before. They’ve had people hyping them up temporarily when it suited everyone involved. Not ordinary peasants. But A list celebrities! Remember Pharrell Williams at the Lion King premiere? Beyoncé at the British Music Awards? Or even some female MPs in the UK who wrote a letter supporting Markle?
Well, these two seem to believe that this kind of support will last forever. But these people have their own lives, careers, and brands to protect. They’ll move on when the moment has passed. Associating themselves with two people who attract so much controversy and toxicity could eventually become a liability.
So, don’t read too much into the circus. It’s all a game of PROVE IT for them, and the person who stands to benefit most from the publicity is Meghan. Not even Harry.
Well, I don’t think she’ll necessarily benefit in the long run, but at least she’s got some footage for her private Instagram account to divert some traffic there for few days! 😂 This is someone who goes to two concerts and posts about it saying she’s entered her “concert-going era”. Remember that?
At best, what you’re seeing is an AMERICAN CON ARTIST trying SO hard, fighting tooth and nail to carry out Royal-style engagements in the UK.
She’ll have to beg to be a guest editor at Vogue, or she can only dream of holding roundtable discussions at Windsor Castle. She’s been reduced to an attention-seeking grifter strutting around London, waiting for the paps she paid for to photograph her.
I’m sure the Kardashians are going to have a good laugh about these two wannabes at their next family gathering.
And Ted Sarandos and Ari Emanuel? I can just imagine them having a drink together, talking about how relieved they are that they no longer have to deal with her.
Anyway, the circus is over. For now. 🎪

Dan Wootton sent his own reporter, Steph, out to Nottingham to dispute the Todger propagandist media.
They show the actual crowd (small) which Dan says was “no more than 50 people,” and the clever camera angles the Todgers used to make the crowd look bigger. Steph alleges the majority of attendees were squaddies. Dan claims the school children were “shipped in”, there was a “paid screamer” and “a number of plants” who were “screened.”
That One is shown moving down the greeting line brushing people off and apparently more focused on the photo op. Some people she barely tolerates in conversation, but others get extended time, like when a sycophant wants to hug her - a great pose for the cameras.
Steph accuses the Todgers of planting the kids, placing them closer and paying them more attention so it looks “nicey-nicey” for the cameras.
The first location had most of the media. Steph interviewed a bystander who said, “It’s very weird there’s no people here. There’s more media than fans… they’re not as popular as they used to be.” Subsequent locations had “hardly any media.” She claims they did not greet crowds at any other stops which “left a nasty taste” in her mouth, which Dan says is more proof the first crowd was “clearly screened.”
At the second stop, the same “yelling yodeling woman” was heard again screaming for the Todgers - what are the odds?
Steph interviews a rare genuine fan who brought flowers for the Todger, but was ignored and “disappointed”, which Dan alludes to because she was not pre-screened. Steph claims that at the second stop, some genuine fans showed up but were “lied to” because they were told the Todgers were coming out in 10 minutes but had already left (shades of the alleged Archie’s birth debacle.)
The Todgers had published the day’s schedule weeks earlier, desperately hoping for “crowds of thousands” but they left “humiliated.” P-Dina joins and claims they “were rushing” with “nervous energy” speaking to mostly children to avoid “boos.” She says the “performative” romance is “going through the motions” and they look “pumped up on something” (I believe alleging narc fuel and/or substances?)
Dan shows That One clenching her jaw when the Todger gets attention but not her. P-Dina says when the woman hugged the Todger, That One looked like she “saw Satan” like “how dare you” and licked her lips out of disgust. That One’s disdain toward the Todger “peeked through” despite trying to “put on a show” she “showed her evil” in that moment.
The staff once again is belittled when trying to help That One carry flowers (recall she did the same thing at the late Queen’s walkabout.) Dan says That One “can’t hold it together” in front of crowds because she is so jealous of her husband getting attention she is “snapping” at aides.
P-Dina says the crowds were small because people are “sending this message” they aren’t going to “show up for celebrity” to condone “how they have treated the royal family.” The Todgers allegedly planned the appearance to “deliberately clash” with King Charles appearing in front of the Senate. P-Dina asks why the King allows the Todgers to plan clashing events?

https://www.dailymail.com/debate/article-16213091/Meghan-Harry-cringe-day-Nottingham-JAN-MOIR.html
(Some funny bits are bolded by me)
A few minutes later than scheduled, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex pull up in a Range Rover on the first stop of their quasi-official, royal-not-royal, 'yoo hoo we're over here', legacy-not-privacy tour of Nottingham, a blameless city that has done little to deserve this febrile attention.
We are here outside the Community Recording Studio, a youth charity Harry has supported since 2013, and which is dedicated to helping disadvantaged youngsters from the area develop confidence and life skills.
There is little in the way of glamour in the St Ann's area of the city, on a street bordered by a Dulux decorating centre, a Kick Fit gym and a garage workshop.
Yet the Sussexes step onto the pavement and wave as if they were greeting the honeyed crowds at the Hollywood Bowl instead of this desultory turnout on an industrial estate on an overcast Thursday morning here in the East Midlands.
What on earth is going on? Who is kidding who?
There is a crowd of about 200 in the street outside the centre, but unfortunately for Harry and Meghan, at least 70 per cent of them are the hated media and, even worse, one of them is me.
'You are that witch from the Daily Mail,' says an angry woman, waving a bunch of supermarket flowers she has brought along to give to Meghan.
Now hang on a minute, I say. Which witch? Competition for that title in my office is fierce, lady.
Another woman carrying a unicorn balloon and a huge bouquet of tissue-wrapped lilies also declines to talk. 'I am just here to support the charity and give these flowers to Meghan. I don't want any publicity,' she says.
Fair enough, although I do wonder if this is the official bouquet, and if buying expensive flowers for a multi-mansioned millionairess wearing Jennifer Chamandi shoes, a pencil skirt from The Fold, a jumper and coat from Joseph and a diamond-encrusted Oura fitness tracker ring – as darling Meghan is today – is the best use of anyone's funds, official or not.
And I don't even laugh when a gust of wind blows the legs off her unicorn. For I am not here to fight with the Nottingham chapter of the Sussex Squad. I am here to reminisce, to share – and to wonder where it all went so horribly wrong.
For on a cold December day nearly nine years ago, I stood on the High Pavement in the historic Lace Market of this city to see Prince Harry and his new fiancée Meghan Markle make their first official public appearance together. And it was a truly magical day.Thousands of people lined the streets as Nottingham came to a standstill. There was cheering and bunting! Love was in the air! I even shook Prince Harry's hand as the couple made their way down the street on a 25-minute walkabout that echoed with laughter and good cheer.
Meghan was a natural, showing off her engagement ring, poised and confident, glowing like any bride to be who had found her Prince Charming at last.
Here is what I wrote about her back then: 'The newest member of the Royal Family took everything in her stride.
'Charming all who had queued in the cold to say hello and wish her well, she could engage, talk about the weather, admire babies and even smile when people told her repeatedly that 'Diana would have loved you'.'
I went on to describe this 'dazzling and confident debut' from 'a remarkable young woman… who was not born to be a princess but moves with ease in her brave new world'.
It was indeed a new dawn –newspapers were calling her appearance on the scene 'the Markle Sparkle', unaware that the bubble would burst sooner rather than later. Little did anyone know on that hopeful morning that we were witnessing not just history in the making but the beginning of a royal fairytale that was to curdle quicker than a £5 As Ever chocolate left to rot in the Californian sun.
Not only that, but it was also the start of a calamitous period that would rock the monarchy, tarnish an entire country and cast a shadow over the last years of those doughty royal stalwarts, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. And that was a fate they did not deserve.
With their public accusations of racism, bullying, lack of support, general peeve and never being asked if they were OK, Harry and Meghan changed everything – but ultimately what they changed most of all was the way the British public felt about them.
In 2017, the people of Nottingham came out to see them in their thousands. Today, that number is barely in the dozens.
The Sussexes couldn't have cleared the streets here more efficiently if they had turned a water cannon on the crowds – and perhaps, in a way, that is exactly what they did. However, there is still excitement in some quarters at their royal presence. Not everyone is disgruntled.
At first sight of the royal couple, a few women in the throng at the Community Recording Studio start ululating. Then one lone voice shrieks: 'We love you Meghan!' What can I say? It wasn't me.
Some curious onlookers in trackies shuffle forward like extras in a zombie movie. A group of schoolchildren in red fleeces are corralled in front to greet the royal visitors. 'Are you Californian?' one of them asks Meghan. 'Yes, I am. Have you ever been to California?' she replies.
The Duchess means well, of course, but what kind of question is that to ask a little girl in scuffed trainers in a low-income area of one of the most deprived cities in the UK?
Meghan gives her a big duchessy smile and moves on down the line, chic in her luxe plum separates. Harry is in front of her, his waxen head bent low to talk to the children. 'What class are you missing? Where are your teachers? Gimme some,' he says, holding up his palm for a little boy to slap.
When the children tell him they will be off on half term soon, he delivers a lecture. 'No photos, get off social media, get outside,' he says, waggling a finger.
They both pass by me within inches, keeping their attention focused on the children.
Harry is all furze and stubble, like a clumsily clipped red squirrel, but do you know what Meghan looks like up close and personal? Rich.
She's got the unmistakable sheen of one of those wealthy, five-ply, '600 thread count', glossy-posse women who marinate in serums and luxury and never have to wonder where their next £2,000 is coming from so that they can buy a pair of oversized Ralph Lauren clown trousers.
For this trip, their first quasi-official outing since returning to the UK, the duke and duchess have put together a little schedule of do-good works and 'spread the charity bread' appointments, mostly visiting the kind of grassroots organisations they have been involved with for years.
If this was a first step in resurrecting their public life in the UK, it was a very small one – perhaps even timid. After the Community Recording Studio, the couple visited the Himmah Hub, a Nottingham charity tackling poverty, food insecurity, racism and social exclusion – quite the full menu there.
Afterwards they left via a rear entrance, annoying the small crowd who had waited for 90 minutes to catch a glimpse of them. Apparently, there had been cooking demos and a bracelet-making class.
Did Meghan enjoy her time there? 'Yah, it was really meaningful, thank you for asking,' she told ITV, before slipping back inside her car.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were ferried around the city in a convoy of two Range Rovers, with beefy bodyguards stacked in both.
There was also backup from Nottingham Police, with at least one unmarked police car and one traffic police car in attendance. Three community policemen were also on hand to help with crowd control, but their services were not required.
As the couple pitched up at the last stop of the day, a television reporter shouted: 'Do you feel safe today, Harry?' – a query that was icily ignored.
We were at Epic Partners in Edale Road, an acronym which is Empowering Positive and Inspirational Change.
As with all the causes espoused by these various companies over the course of today – coaching and unemployment, bringing communities together, coping with the prospect of financial hardship, building family skills, creating opportunities – it crossed my mind that the people most in need of these skills are the Sussexes themselves.
Again, a small crowd had gathered outside the community centre, which had a tattered strip of bunting wrapped around the barbed wire on the roof. If one were looking for a metaphor, there it was in all its ragged glory. The leader of the centre embraced Meghan as she approached the entrance. 'So pleased you are here,' he enthused.
'Yeeees,' was all she could muster by way of reply. Well. It had been a long day in Nottingham.
It had also been a revealing day, a very cringe day, a day in which two people couldn't seem to decide if they were public figures or not, if they were privates on parade, ghosts in the machine, or royal contenders once more. And, to be honest, neither could I.

Interesting perspective regarding the Sussexes' visit to Nottingham today. Senior Editor for the Nottingham Post, Natalie Fahy, gives her opinion on MMandH's visit.
https://www.nottinghampost.com/news/news-opinion/worlds-most-famous-private-citizens-11200649
(Archive isn't working for me.)
Highlights (which are really most of the article):
Meghan Markle landed in one of the most deprived parts of the UK on Thursday wearing a £1,400 wool and cashmere coat.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, parachuted into Nottingham on Thursday, and while the small crowd of loyal fans waiting for them were smiling, thousands more will be fuming at the gall of their pseudo-Royal circus.
It stands in stark contrast to their 2017 visit to the city, where hundreds of people lined a narrow city centre street to catch a glimpse of the freshly-engaged couple. It took them a long time to work the crowds that time. You have to question what Harry and Meghan’s fan base looks like now.
But once they’ve jaunted back to their cosseted life - what is left?
There will be a cost to the Nottingham taxpayer, how much exactly we don’t know. City Council Community Protection Officers were diverted from other duties to provide crowd reassurance in St Ann’s outside the Community Recording Studio.
In Sneinton, while the couple visited Epic Partners, an unmarked police car blocked the road. For balance, I should tell you that a plastic chair with a sign saying “no one past this point please” was also used (ineffectively) for crowd control in Sneinton.
None of this is free. So why are we paying for the activities of what Buckingham Palace itself calls ‘private citizens’?
Back to Meghan’s coat. I highlight this because St Ann’s is one of the most deprived areas in the country, let alone Nottingham. Nearly 80 per cent of children live in low-income families.
Buying school uniform is a struggle, never mind stepping out in a coat that costs more than their household brings in every month. Harry’s outfit was probably equally expensive, but it’s harder to identify via a Google search - this is not just a poke at Meghan.
The reaction to their visit in our newsdesk email has been overwhelming. And not in a positive way. We have been reminded at all hours today by people all over the world that the couple are private individuals. One even pointed out: “You may have private citizens lurking around looking for attention so beware.”
One particular encounter summed everything up for me today. In Hyson Green, well-wishers had taken time out of their day to wait for a glimpse of the couple on Gregory Boulevard outside the Himmah Hub community kitchen.
Yet, after the cooking session inside, the Duke and Duchess were quietly escorted out of a rear exit for their next stop. They left a street of waiting fans disappointed - some still clutching flowers they hoped to give them.
For all the talk of community support, when the circus packs up and moves on, the people who actually live here are left standing on the pavement, holding flowers, waiting for a reality that has already driven away.
Something tells me Natalie is not a fan of the Sussexes being private citizens who are acting as royals.
~ As ever.

Sinner Puzzleheaded-Job6031 asked for a post on this Nottingham review by Hilary Rose from the Times. (Emphasis mine.)
"Today our thoughts turn to Nottingham, and we reflect on what a time it is to be alive and assigned the Harry and Meghan beat. For anyone lucky enough to have forgotten, Nottingham is where H&M first went as an engaged couple, and so to Nottingham they now returned for their big back-in-Blighty reveal.
They might as well take out ads saying: "Look how royal we still are!" On the schedule this time, Meghan played to her strengths by taking part in a discussion about self-belief. They also visited a food bank, a children's charity and a community kitchen. Harry joshed about with people at a recording studio and Meghan pasted on her gracious face for the inevitable walkabout in a burgundy Joseph coat. She told one member of the crowd "it's great to be back" and that will no doubt remain true, until it isn't and all of it will no doubt achieve its higher purpose of shifting jam and giving Harry something to do.
In the fullness of time, or 3.15pm to be precise because they issued a detailed schedule just like the real royals, they returned to their top-secret life, in a top-secret location, with their top-secret children, the better to tease it all on Instagram.
"I know it's not technically a royal engagement," one woman in Nottingham told a reporter, "but I wish it was. I wish they would reconcile. I wish they could be royal again."
To recap, it's been a busy few weeks on the H&M beat. A "friend" says they've been "keeping a low profile", and one definition of keeping a low profile, which we will call the Pinocchio definition, is sweeping up to Claridge's in a fleet of Range Rovers and sitting in the foyer with Malala Yousafzai, surrounded by security to keep your uninterested public at bay. To be fair, Meghan's solo back-in-Blighty big reveal was never going to be at Gail's in Summertown with a school mum, was it? What would be the point of that?
The Claridge's stunt was a classic example of the "Look at me! Don't look at me!" playbook. She and Malala talked about the importance of women's education, and what a comfort it must be to the women of Afghanistan that Meghan thinks it's a pity they can't get one. Perhaps she'll send them some jam instead. She is, after all, donating the net proceeds from one day's jam and tea sales to Malala's education charity although, alas, that might only amount to small change.
The Daily Mail's Alison Boshoff discovered that the As Ever sales ledger has big fat zeros next to many of its products, including a $259 pantry basket and $174 Heritage Library Set and, no, I have no idea what a heritage library set is. Do you care?
In a rare flash of self-awareness, Meghan, who is not a working royal, has apparently told the same friend she does not see herself as a working royal.
"Her public appearances will be relatively rare," the friend told the Telegraph, and we note wistfully how much lovelier that sentence would be without the word "relatively". "She is reading a lot of scripts at the moment," the friend continued, "and if she has time left after all of that, she will do some charity work." She sees herself these days as a full-time mum and entrepreneur, and my gratitude is boundless that neither of those things involves listening to her speak."
The Times is being fussy about links so I am unable to include an archive. (I couldn't even view the article).

Tom and Lorenzo are U.S. fashion bloggers. They were pretty neutral towards Meghan for a long time and mostly focused on her clothes, rather than her personality. They were incredibly generous about her fashion. They were quoted in the Vanity Fair article questioning why Meghan kept wearing neutrals after she left the Royal Family. Apparently, they were attacked by the Sussex Squad for this accurate observation, so they are very defensive about it.
Despite years of generosity towards Meghan, they were appalled when Meghan merched the clothes she wore at Bondi Beach.
Their last mention of Meghan was a podcast reacting to the news of H&M moving back to the U.K. They didn't understand why and they concluded with, "This won't end well."
I should note that Tom and Lorenzo do not like the Royal Family at all, so their opinion about Meghan is not influenced by their support for the Royal Family.
This is their post about Nottingham today. I've cut-and-pasted the entire blog post because it features a lot of photos of the Harkles:
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex Visit Nottingham
Posted on October 15, 2026
Private citizens Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex went out for a stroll this morning and suddenly found themselves facing crowds of well-wishers. Yes, we’re being bitches about this. Harry and Meghan stepped out in Nottingham to visit The Community Recording studio, a youth and community charity.
And we are once again asking just what the hell these two are doing. This is, in every way that matters, no different from a royal engagement. In fact, it seems designed to appear as close as possible to a typical appearance by Catherine and William. We’ve always said that charity work is a good direction for them, but these sorts of walkabouts; receiving flowers and even accepting handkisses from the public, is simply not how charity works for anyone but members of the royal family. And it was one thing when they were doing these sorts of meet-and-greets around the world, but to return to England and this kind of activity after years of saying you wanted out and that you didn’t think your family’s safety could be guaranteed just makes all your complaints and concerns sound like bullshit. As for the fashion, this is one of the best looks she’s worn in public in a good while. That SoCal neutral style she favors so much doesn’t play as well in Autumnal England. We’re seeing so much eggplant/burgundy tone-on-tone lately that we’re confident calling it one of the bigger trends of Fall 2026. We half-think that Harry wanted out from royal life so he could get away with wearing jeans on engagements.

My thoughts: Nottingham. This didn't work.
The crowd was highly curated. There were some cheers, and one woman yodeling loudly and consistently as soon as they exited their car. Many suspect that it was her job to drown out any boos, which seems likely, because no one would make such a weird noise for so long, even if they were a fan of the Harkles. A baby starts crying very loudly, possibly frightened by this freaky sound.
One of the people who gave flowers to Meg said she was giving it on behalf of the Sussex Squad. (I'd like to remind everyone that Meghan just began giving out affiliate codes to the Sussex Squad for 15% off. Not that it's helping her sales. But yeah, she sees them, and they see her. Let's put it that way.)
A crowd of well-wishers were waiting outside one of their charity visits to greet them with flowers. But the Harkles left by a side door and abandoned them, apparently because they don't want to talk to peasants they didn't pre-screen. And maybe there were not enough photographers around.
There is a video of Meghan at a school giving exactly one second of attention to a young girl before immediately jumping up to speak to another. She obviously thought the other child made for a better photo. (I could be wrong because I can't see the second child well, but it appears that she ignored a white child and went to pay attention to a black child. Better for optics, I guess?)
https://x.com/RoyaNikkhah/status/2110679692915159251
(The 4th video at this link.)
The incident happens at around 0:10. The whole video is 0:24 long.
The video shows the child who was ignored looking rather sad afterwards. As anyone would, in that situation.
Meghan really does not understand that other people have emotions.
--
HGTudor has a video of Meghan listening to a student singing. Meghan looks bored and fidgets immediately because the attention is not on her. She cannot even pretend to care.
(Title: Meghan Clenches As Spotlight Is Elsewhere!)
https://youtu.be/OAoNTFpN62s?si=-FuVBZQFUbjHMEcm
Very rude. She is really an embarrassment.
--
So, as expected, this "visit" accomplished nothing, and wasted a lot of resources. It appears that about 50 people showed up, outnumbered by the press. This was one expensive and wasteful ego boost.
Some people called out, "Harry!" Did anyone call out, "Meghan?"
Every time the Harkles do something, it always backfires and makes them look even more like fools. This was no different. You can tell a lot of planning and effort went into it. But for what?
When a Real Royal makes an appearance, it's a part of their duty to serve the public.
What are Harry and Meghan doing this for? To sell playing cards and bookmarks and the clothes she is wearing.

This is my second post today regarding American fashion bloggers Tom and Lorenzo. They did a podcast today in addition to their post, and they spend some time talking about Harry and Meghan in Nottingham. I've included a transcript. It is pretty long, but I think it's interesting because Tom and Lorenzo have been very generous towards Meghan over the years, and they don't care much about the Royal Family.
So, their change in perspective is notable.
I think everyone with functional brains eventually come to the same conclusion about the Harkles, that there is something wrong with them.
Nottingham today was peak hypocrisy, and no one can deny it.
But worse for the Harkles, the entire return to the U.K. is innately hypocritical. They really can't escape this hypocrisy-bubble they've created for themselves. It was still hypocrisy while they were in the U.S. - bashing the Royals but using their titles. But it's been magnified multiple times with their return to the U.K.
When they first came to the U.K., there was a tiny bit of hope that they would have a low-key existence. That they would send the kids to a British school and just shut up for a while. But the Harkles can't stop Harkling. Such futile hope for blessed relief.
Everything they do from now on is pure hypocrisy. Possibly the worst PR bungle of all time by any public figure.

Speaker 1: But before we do that, we're going to talk about everyone's favorite topic, Meghan and Harry. We actually were not planning on talking about them at all. It's literally only in the last five minutes where we were like, all right, everyone keeps sending us messages saying, are you going to talk about this? So, okay, we'll talk about it.
Speaker 2: I have to be honest. Like, I usually collect most of the stuff that we're going to talk about the next day, you know, the night before. But sometimes, you know, I wake up and I see things, you know. And that's when I saw their pictures. And I was like, oh, that's exciting. Oh, she looks great. Oh, my God. They're doing a royal function here.
Speaker 1: So they had their first outing, their first official outing since moving back to the UK this morning. And, you know, there's a post on our site, and I'm only going to reiterate what I said in the post in case you haven't read it, but you should read it. You know, they visited a community center, but they had... essentially a walkabout. They had crowds lined up outside with flowers too and they walked through and they greeted them all and they received the flowers and everything and this is the kind of thing which we've been saying all along, they should not be doing. Not because I have thoughts or strong feelings about protocol or anything like that, that's not what I'm saying here, like I'm not saying they shouldn't be allowed to do this. I'm saying for their own PR and to support their own arguments that they have made about themselves, this is not good.
And this has always been my issue with Harry and Meghan. I am generally supportive of, for instance, striking out on your own or calling out the press and or members of your family who have done badly by you or have, you know, or you feel you have experienced racism.
Speaker 2: I was always fine with that. I was always fine with them starting their own life. But this is a perfect example of them trying to have it both ways. They've always tried to have it both ways. When they did the Oprah interview and then Spare came out and then they did the Netflix documentary, I remember thinking at the time, I was like, oh. So they're burning their bridges like they are just not ever going to go back because the stuff they were saying was so explosive. And like, there was no way your family was going to forgive you for those things. But in the years since, it was like, well, the door is open and we want reconciling. Well, you can't.
You can't have reconciliation when you badmouth your father's wife. You badmouth your brother. You badmouth your brother's wife.
Speaker 2: Like so.
Speaker 1: I was always like, yeah, go do charity stuff. Go support your causes. But don't do these things that look exactly like what the royal family does.
Speaker 1: And, you know... Indistinguishable.
Speaker 2: This pisses me off so much because it's beyond being delusional. You're just being a f\*king liar here. Because you want the attention, but you don't want the responsibility.* I'm, you know, I don't care about royal family. I really don't. It's not my culture, not my country, blah, blah, blah. But they pay a price to do what they do. A very hard price.
Speaker 1: One of which is that they're not allowed to go to the press and talk about their feelings.
Speaker 2: Right, exactly. So, you know, they're forced to do what they do, you know, to a certain extent. They do what they do, but they pay a price. These clowns, they just want to, you know, get all the attention, you know, flowers, people crying, hugging them and blah, blah, blah. Kissing their hands. Yeah, kissing their hands. What the hell? Are you a queen?
Anyway, all that attention they get, but they don't want the responsibility. You know, and they complain when, oh, we need security. Why? Why do you need security?
Speaker 1: Well, I mean, that puts the law... I mean, Harry's whole fight with the press and the courts and his family have always, you know, a lot of that has come down to, you know, 'I can't keep my family safe in this country.' So now you're parading around in public in front of crowds of people, like, you can't have it both ways. You can't claim that you don't feel safe while also having these very public engagements.
Listen, if they wanted to go inside that community center, meet with people, shake their hands, and pose for pictures, that's fine. That's standard charity work. All kinds of celebrities and socialites do that sort of work. But crowd work? Greeting crowds? No.
And people got annoyed with us, but this was the same issue we had last year when they went to Bondi Beach in Australia. I'm like, why are private citizens touring a terror site and being received like dignitaries?
Speaker 2: And I can't even understand them doing that in another country, but you are in freaking London, man.
Speaker 1: They're in Nottingham.
Speaker 2: Well, whatever. Yeah. The UK.
Speaker 1: You're in the UK.
Speaker 2: And then you're doing exactly what Catherine and William did.
Speaker 1: What Charles and Camilla did. Yeah.
Speaker 2: I mean, if you Photoshop their faces, it looks like Catherine and William are doing a function, a royal function. Right.
It's ridiculous. If you want to help, if you want to donate, whatever, do it differently. I mean, find your own way of doing things. But I looked at those pictures and I couldn't believe it. I'm like, oh, my God.
Speaker 1: I mean, this has come up before. We have talked about this. Like I said, we talked about it with Bondi Beach. We talked about it with some of their American work. Like I remember on, I guess it was VE Day or whatever, they were out in a military cemetery in California placing wreaths. And nobody's there. Like, you're not the prince anymore. You don't have to do stuff like that. And I, in the past, I've sort of given them, like, "Oh, they're trying to figure it out." It's been six years. It's been six years, and you have received so much feedback on what works and what doesn't.
So if you're still doing shit like this, and that was the thing, like, in Bondi Beach, and there were other... tours that they did of the commonwealth uh where they were, I mean, there was one where they played "God Save the King" when Harry walked into the room and and it was pretty clear he didn't want that, not when he walked in the room they played it at a reception and at the time it was like well they didn't know and they're trying to figure out.
But it's now in 2026 you're in the UK and this is planned. This was not a mistake. This is not you know and the whole and you can say well it's "You know, she has no control over people kissing her hand." Yes, she does. Number one, yes, she does. Number two, she wouldn't shouldn't have even been in that position because they shouldn't be out greeting people as if they were royals. They are not.
Speaker 2: It's a matter of how you position yourself out there. I mean, look at them.
Speaker 2: Look at those pictures. Right. That's all you need to do. And then you blame the royal family for being pissed at you both. I mean, come on.
Speaker 1: And they do stuff like that.
Speaker 2: And then you do stuff like that. The thing with them is that they do not listen. They just don't listen.
Speaker 1: They're very stubborn. Yes. I always said it was him, but now I've got to say, I mean, she's not an idiot. She goes along with all this stuff.
Speaker 2: That's why their PR people are fired all the time or quit because they don't listen. They just want to do whatever they think is right. And to a certain extent, there's no consequences because they're that famous.
Speaker 1: Well, there will be in the press. I'm sure. I mean, this just happened this morning, but I'm sure the press is going to have a field day with them. And in this instance, I'm like, you know what? You kind of deserve it.
Speaker 2: And then they complain about it. You know, "They're coming after us, coming after my wife." I mean, you're asking for it when you do stuff like this. I mean, I'm not saying you shouldn't do, you know, whatever you want to do. But come on, you can't replicate. You can't copy the exact model that the royal family, you know.
Speaker 1: I mean, there are less senior members of the royal family. Most of them are elderly who go off and do events. They meet with charities and stuff like this. And those pictures pop up all the time. We never feature them because no one cares. You know, in America, no one cares. But my point is there aren't crowds of people greeting them. They show up at an event. They shake some hands, pose with some local people. They tour the facility. And that's it. And Harry and Meghan, if they want to do stuff like that, that would be fine. I wouldn't have an issue. I don't have an issue, period. I'm not stuck here in America. I'm not stuck here in America. I am here in America. Very happily.
Speaker 2: But, yeah, I just.
Speaker 1: I want to be on your side, but you negate everything when you do sh\t like this.*
Speaker 2: I gave up on that already.
Speaker 1: When the press goes after you for this, you're going to deserve it. When they went after you for Bondi Beach, you deserved it.
Speaker 2: Right.
Speaker 1: And they never change. They all think "You're all being mean to me." And I really do think this comes down to Harry wants what his mother had. His mother got to divorce herself from the family, she got to keep her title, and she got to go tour Angola for mines and stuff like that. One, that was 30 years ago.
Speaker 2: Things were different.
Speaker 1: Things are a lot different now.
Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1: And two, Diana was a unique figure. Like, that cannot be replicated. Not even Catherine could replicate what Diana was. Nobody, nobody. Yeah, she was a singular figure that nobody knew what to do with, including the royal family. You can't replicate that. And you're not... you and your wife are not big enough stars that people will let you do that sort of thing. I mean, Diana was, you know, not universally, but worldwide beloved, especially after the divorce. So, you know, she got away with a lot of things.
Speaker 2: You're not the future queen.
Speaker 1: I mean, king, you know, like that's, well, he can't stand that.
Speaker 2: Well, he can't stand that. That's what happened with, you know, Diana and, and, and, and Charles, because he was going to be the king. So they had to figure out some way of dealing with it. Right. They don't have to deal with this.
Speaker 1: Right.
Speaker 2: Um, it's just like I shake my head every time. I'm like, what are you doing? What are you doing? Yeah.
Speaker 1: That's the bottom line.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker 1: What are you doing?
Speaker 2: And then you complained. You do shit like that. And then you complain.
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Anyway.
Speaker 1: And it seems at this point that they do shit like this in order to have those complaints.
Speaker 2: Right.
Speaker 1: Because those complaints have become their entire brand.
Speaker 2: Right. Right. But I looked at those pictures. Please go look at the pictures. I mean, and I was like, what? Yeah.
Speaker 1: What?
Speaker 2: What?
Speaker 1: I have to think they moved back to England just so they could have more stories like this, where they can claim that people are being mean to them and everything, because that's their whole brand at this point, is "People are being mean to us."
Speaker 2: And if I have to weigh here, he is way more delusional than she is, in my opinion.
Speaker 1: I used to think that, but come on, it's been a decade now.
Speaker 2: I still think so, because A, she's not British, and she was never a royal before. He has his entire life. She knows the score at this point.
Speaker 2: I know. Well, but not on the same level as he does. I mean, come on. The guy's been there all the time. Chose not to be there anymore for a reason. So, he should know better.
Speaker 1: Right.
Speaker 2: You can't do sh\t like that.*
Speaker 1: I mean, you can, but you can't complain when all that shit comes flying back at you.
Speaker 1: And that is what's going to happen here. Anyway.
Speaker 2: Anyway. Having said that, she looks great.
Speaker 1: She did look great.
Speaker 2: I love the coat.
Speaker 1: Being back in England has revitalized her style a little bit. She was too much caught up in that Southern California neutral style.
Speaker 2: You know, being back in the public, I'd say, you know, and out of California.
Speaker 1: They were still doing public stuff.
Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's not the same, not on the same level.
Speaker 1: And I kind of do think that's why they moved back.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker 1: They're more high profile.
Speaker 2: Attention, attention, both of them.
Speaker 1: Attention, attention, attention.
Speaker 2: Anyway.
Speaker 1: All right. I guess I wish them well, but I am not going to feel sorry for them when this all comes flying back at them.

Tom Sykes was in Nottingham, as others have posted. It was mainly photographers and a few passers by. Even the best attended venue hardly drew what would be called a crowd.
It was satisfying to see that even if there was a police presense it was very limited. Same with the barriers - somebody in Nottingham knew NOT to prepare for a huge crowd.
My questions are:
Can anybody name any of the charities, apart from WellChild?
How is this going to benefit the Grifters? Where is the money going to come from?
Where is the list of new "public engagements"? Everything we have seen so far must have been organised before the Grifters came to the UK.
Imho, it was also a one off thing because it was Madam´s first "official" outing. And she has clearly suffered from camera withdrawal, as she has again called the paps on herself.
Will there be any other events?

I'm embarrassed for all these idiots that are waiting and yelling at them! The Markles don't care about them!
I will continue to be on a team remove titles, Los, and names from official website!
I don't know the reporter.

I'm not sure who is the reporter is asking the questions.
Also, are they really back? Can you really be back when you don't own a house? Isn't it more like a visit?
I don't understand why he's so casual and she's dressy.

NOTE TO MODS: In order to stay within the three post limit, I deleted my HAM parody post. Sorry for the messiness, but just like our Saint, it's messy today!
From the Daily Mail:
They were being protected by their private security team during the event - but a number of police community support officers were on the scene. Congrats, British taxpayers: your pounds at work.
Harry was in playful mood and was pictured tickling a man's ginger beard. You sure that's all he was doing?

In Nottingham this afternoon, a row broke out after a well-wisher overheard someone in the crowd And I'm sure that comment was just a coincidence.
The couple were given balloons, including one in the shape of a unicorn. It would be so lovely if they were taken home to the #Ivisikids. Not gonna happen.
I gave her a card, and she folded up and put it in her pocket so she can read it later.' That's not what she's doing with it, but you do you.
One fan, who did not want to give her name, said: 'I love the Royal Family. I was going to come shopping in town, so I thought I would come and try to see them. I want Harry and Meghan to know we still love them. I'm so glad all these people have turned up.' Undoubtedly a Squaddie.
Shani Saviciene, who gave Meghan a healing crystal for 'positivity' said she begged to speak to the duchess.
The 30-year-old told the Press Association: 'Meghan was actually on that side (of the pavement). I don't know if she realised there were fans on this side.
'So then I tapped one of her team members and begged them 'please, please, please can she come to this side?'
'And then she did, and I said to her, 'I love you so much. I've given one of your team, like, a healing crystal for you', and she was really grateful.'
Asked why she gave Meghan a crystal, Ms Saviciene said: 'I just want her to be protected, uplifted, and just have as much positivity around her as possible.' Girl, it's gonna take a boulder to protect her.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAND, the obligatory Diana comparison:
Shaghofta Akhtar, 53, had bought a bunch of flowers to hand to Meghan at the second venue. She described her as the 'Queen of hearts' and compared the Duchess to late the Princess Diana.
'Meghan brought me out here today. I just wanted to come and show her our love, that the people of Nottingham love her. And I don't think she knows if and I think sometimes you just need to hear people tell you this.
'I love her because I think she is an ambassador of peace. I think she stands for democracy. She stands for peace and she is inspirational.'
Asked about the fact she was no longer a royal she said: 'because she is an ambassador for peace, she doesn't need a title. They don't need any titles. I loved princess Di, she touched me, and I think Meghan is going down that road too because she is touching people without needing a title. And she is strong enough to do her own thing.' Damn. I hope this Squaddie got double pay for spouting this nonsense.
But it wasn't all sunshine and healing crystals:
Before the couple arrived, a small row broke out when a well wisher overheard someone say it was not a royal visit.
The woman shouted out: 'She is royal, she will always be royal'.
First off, Harry & Meghan try to cook with the Community Kitchen ladies. Notice that Meghan does NOT want Harry holding onto that pot:

DAMN, Harry is getting a belly:

See!!! Babies love me too!!!

Gotta show off the dress, y'all:

Once again, the young man's face tells the story:

They were reportedly given sweets, healing crystals, and fridge magnets during the walkabout, according to The Sun.
Seal Clap Time!

Making jewelry with kiddos that she will toss the moment she leaves:

Harry finds someone his mental age that he can talk to:

Come you unwashed one, worship your goddess!

Of course it was all for PR:
As the Duke and Duchess wrapped up their visit to the Himmah Hub, they couple left via a small side door to head to the food bank, leaving fans disappointed at the front of the building.
Some had waited over an hour only to find out they had left to go to a food bank round the corner without stopping to speak to them.
One said: “I’m really disappointed, we’ve been waiting nearly 90 minutes for them. I’m very disappointed. They went straight in waving at people. We thought they’d stop and speak to us when they left, but they didn’t, such a shame.”
Can I write inspiring messages on these?

They love me!!! (NOTE: Meghan posted a clip on her Instagram of the women greeting her. It's absolutely nauseating, which is probably why I can't download it).

GUESS WHAT!!! Meghan tells a child that Lil Betty loves gymnastics? Uh...remind you of Charlotte?
Harry looks SOOOOOOOOOOOO bored.

Oh Dear GAWD! Meghan pokes her head out of the window. But...SECURITY!!!!

Aw, thank you for loving me! I love me too!
