Every time I watch this episode I'm amazed by Carol Burnett's performance.

The legendary actress was always known for being a great comedian — who doesn't remember her iconic television show that was on the air for many years where she made generations laugh.

On SVU she took a TOTAL turn, a cold and ruthless woman who didn't care about anything but herself. It really surprised me so much that I forgot it was the same Carol who used to make you laugh.

The real reason why Michaela McManus left Law & Order: SVU was by decision of the show's producers. The producer at the time, Neal Baer, explained that the character didn't fit in very well with the others. In fact, McManus herself also explained during an interview that her role was very difficult and that she wasn't used to the type of storylines that SVU had.

> "The role is very difficult for me to integrate into the series," said Michaela McManus.

What are some spooky episodes to watch around Halloween 👻

Tonight's episode is yet another reason of why I'm so glad there is finally an alternative to Thursday night shows. By Olivia's judgment, Crista Pike would not have even been in prison much less the death penalty for the horrific, Charlie Manson like murder she perpetrated. Like tonight's perpetrator, Christa was a victim of abuse in her childhood, which of course means that she can't possibly be held fully responsible for any horrific actions she perpetrates. Loved ones of murder victims just need to take one for the team by this view of "justice." Victims are secondary to the sad stories of the perpetrators. I just can't anymore with this show!

This summer I started watching SVU from the beginning. I had watched plenty of reruns before, but never in order.

Seasons 1-12 with Stabler were the best, but I enjoyed the Amaro/Rollins/Carisi/Barba years almost as much.

Now I’m on Season 24 and I’m basically watching for Benson, Fin and Carisi at this point. The cases are getting worse, the episode structure has changed (with half of the cases not even being sex crimes??) and I’m REALLY not enjoying the revolving door of Muncy/Velasco/Bruno/Curlish.

Is it going to get any better, or should I give it up?

oh my God…this is one of the hardest and disturbing episodes to ever exist and to watch…i have seen this episode many times before on rewatches but this time around i couldn’t stomach it.

This whole season is a mess and here i thought s19 was so bad..

But I'm confused about one thing, the way Olivia treated McGrath was so odd to me considering she also made death threats to suspects when noah was involved during the BX9 cases. How is that any different from what she did and why did she react that way.. and also stabler acted the same way almost hitting a suspect when he came back to her squad but she did everything to protect him. I just cant understand her logic ?

Still catching up on SVU and I've just finished S22E9. I'm not too familiar with the multiverse, but apparently there are L&O and OC episodes to bounce around while watching from this point on. I've scoured the Internet but I can't find a clear list! Please help!

According to a digital outlet covering film and television:

Judith Light, in a recent interview to promote her new series _(Shrinking)_, looked back on her career, including her time on SVU.

The actress said she was close to reprising her iconic role as Elizabeth Donnelly, but had to turn it down due to scheduling conflicts.

Leaving the door open for a return later on.

Light has seen a resurgence in her career in recent years, winning the Tony Award in 2012 and 2013 and an Emmy in 2024.

Joanna Merlin was an accomplished stage and television actress with a career spanning more than five decades.

In 2001, she brought to life one of the most memorable judges on *SVU*: the Honorable Judge Petrovsky.

In 2011, at the age of 80, she made her final appearance on the series; by that time, she was suffering from a serious medical condition: myelodysplastic syndrome.

From then on, she was essentially retired, making only four further appearances in guest roles.

She passed away in 2022 at the age of 92 at her home, with her daughter by her side, due to complications from the illness she had been battling.

Barba is the one that brought up the deal to call ice on an undocumented mother with 2 kids to break the case.

Comparing this to what Carisi didn't like what Liv and the new ADA apprentice did on latest episode shows a big difference.

I miss Barba.

I’m watching Chicago PD for the first time. Season 2 and Nick and Amanda come to help, and I just freaking love him. I am a EO 🤡 but watching Nick again has me all in my feels. SVU seasons with him were really good! I’m glad he was there after Elliot left.

Seriously though, are they lost forever?

This guy had the most deep set eyes that you could barely see. He had the perfect physical profile for a serial killer. “They were all my girls, I killed them all. You tell my mother that “. Olivia played him like a fiddle, and he opened up like a flower. I love the psychological warfare.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I’m doing my anual rewatch and I just can’t understand what Olivia saw in Cassidy in seasons 14-15. I just finished Comic Perversion and Nick mentions that the comedian they took down was Cassidy’s favorite. How were they together? They moved in together!!

He slept with a woman undercover, never wanted to go out on dates with her, and was a general dick to everyone. He seemed like a total bum. Maybe the sex was incredible, but I don’t get it.

What am I missing?

The girl Lucy I believe wasn’t even 2 years old and She was abused terribly by almost every adult that ever supervised her just cause she had some behavioral problems. The way the adults talk about lucy after knowing she was murdered is disgusting. They show no remorse for abusing her and basically said she deserved the abuse she received

Not to mention the mother is a total coward who was willing to let anyone else go down for the murder of her daughter Lucy that she knew she caused the whole time

Just so many bad adults in this episode and I’m sorry Lucy had to endure the amount of abuse she did and then be murdered by her own mother who should have protected her from abuse

Hey guys. Do you know where i can watch from season 1. It’s only s19-22in Disney+

Uma vez suspeito, sempre suspeito.

S6.E9 Blood Libel

Ator de Greg Yates como um personagem gay suspeito de estupro. Sem mais detalhes ou spoiler, mesmo que eu não ache spoiler temporadas antigas mas segue a regra.

These episodes were top notch, I didn’t know he was that good of an actor

He really nailed that morally grey character perfectly

Wished they gave him another semi regular character though

So I am a long term SVU fan and started to rewatch it again since I had nothing else to do. I’m now back into the recent seasons and I am very confused by this line.

Context (S:22 Ep:1 Timestamp 21:20) Oliva is being investigated by IAB for racially profiling Jayvon Brown.

Curry: “Captain Benson?”
Benson: “Yes”
Curry: “Captain Curry”
Benson: “Hi. Nice to meet you “
Curry: “Actually we meet—briefly at Ed Tucker’s Funeral”
Benson: “Oh, yes, of course. I’m sorry, I wasn’t myself that day.”
Curry: “Neither was I. Ed was my Rabbi. His poor wife”
Benson: “Yes”

When googling it nothing comes up with Curry or Tucker bering Jewish; however in season 21 Kat says that she is Jewish and can talk to her own rabbi who then kills himself. This was the episode where there was a party for Ed and he was accused for covering up Rachel’s sexual assault (The Longest Night of Rain).

Anyone else super angry about the whole Carisi telling Deonte that he’d go to bat for him if Deonte helped get them out of the situation with Boyd. It’s obvious that Boyd was a scary character and I think anyone would be afraid to go against him? Rather than seize the opportunity to show Carisi having any sort of internal conflict of knowing Deonte wasn’t intentionally malicious but still did a bad thing, they just vilified him? They made it about Deonte not intervening and I think that’s just silly.

I’m referring to super unique ones in later seasons that everybody forgets but they’re so good! It’s the best genre of episode

My favourite examples are:
S24 e13 “Intersection”
S23 e18 “Eighteen wheels a predator”
S26 e20 “Shock collar”
S23 e11 “Burning with Rage forever”
S23 e19 “Tangled wheels of justice”
S26 e10 “Master Key”
S25 e8 “Third man syndrome”

Also some honourable mentions from middle seasons:
Literally the entirety of season 12
S12 e13 “Mask”
S12 e20 “Totem”
S12 e23 “Delinquent”
S13 e8 “Educated guess”
S14 e11 “Beautiful frame”
All s15 episodes after e20
S16 e6 “Glasgowmans wrath”

I am obsessed with Glasgowmans wrath.

I’m one of those people with a habit of rewatching shows a million times but some of my favorite shows I’ve never bothered to see the end of—writers blow final seasons too often so what’s in my head is better. I’ve rewatched seasons 1-17 a million times. Seen 18-21 once or twice.

I’m now a handful of episodes into season 27 and I’ve got good momentum. But Velasco is gone??? What the hell. I’ve been loving him and Bruno. Loved Bruno from the start but took me awhile to warm up to Velasco and after a season of loving him he’s out?

I never even got to love any of the women besides Curry because they rotated them out too fast.

Do you guys like Velasco and Bruno? What do you actually want to see happen with the cast?
