I’m not even on campus and I’m getting calls ab the earthquake drill im irritated 😭 is there a way to turn this off??

I starting to regret re-selecting my preference as direct deposit last Thursday. I still do not have a disbursement date posted in my portal for my Cal grant and SSCG. I called financial aid on Tuesday and was told it should be posted by Thursday (Today) and still nothing posted. This is making me wonder if I should have done check to pick it up or is it do late to even go for it? I am just frustrated and getting tired of having to borrow money from my mom since I have to commute to campus for classes 3 times a week taking the uber, Metrolink and metro from another another county. I was suppose to go to class today but did not go because I felt uncomfortable asking my mom even though she is ok with helping me out.

So I’m taking statistics in person and our exams are worth 50% of our grade. I had a 100% in the class for participation and homework but after the first exam I failed, my grade dropped down to a 56%. There’s two exams left and then the final is 25% of my grade. I’m honestly not feeling very confident, but I’m not sure if I should see it through.
I commute twice a week for this class and it’s my only class on those days and my drive there and back is a total of two or three hours depending on traffic. I have till November 22 to drop, should I do it? I feel like I kind of wasted seven weeks going but I’d rather it be that than get all the way to end of December just to fail. The final can replace my lowest exam score but I’m not even sure if that’ll help.

I haven’t received any updates about my upcoming disbursement dates. I only received $422 of my Pell Grant in September, and I was able to change my refund delivery method to direct deposit. Is anyone else in the same situation?

hey chat, I’ve been seeing a lot of other people facing the same issues with the refund check. I just want to know if anyone has received it yet. Financial aid said the latest is October 19th, but I just wanna ask if anyone has gotten before .

so I received a informed delivery notification today that i’m getting a package from a delivery company in a few days that handles special packages with sensitive information inside. I looked up the company and they handle distributing checks, it could be the fasfa refund from the school since they use the same company to release checks, just wanted to let everyone know that could be wondering where the funds at.

I was using a dell before and all I needed in order to connect was my SMC user, but with the Chromebook it needs the EAP method and some other info, anyone know how to get it connected?

For the past few days I have not been able to change my refund preference. I called and was on hold for 3 hours since they locked me out of my account for suspicious activity, since then it states my check was mailed out last week and still haven't recieved it. Everytime I try to update my preference on bank mobile it's saying error. I have no vpn on, no tracking, nothing. Has anyone been able to change it? Does anyone have any steps that can help me? I've tried on my computer, chrome, firefox, safari and nothing. 😭😭

I’m confused on how are you guys receiving the SSCG? I get the Cal grant B and CCPG due to my formally homeless youth status and being independent my sai is like -1500 and I’m not on SAP haven’t been on that and I take 15 units?

Has anyone received their diploma/degrees yet from the spring 2026 class?

My disbursement date for both are 10/6 and my preference is direct deposit, I haven't received the money so Im curious when to expect it in my account so I can spend it all and go into debt 🔥🔥🗣️ 🗣️💯

Will I receive this the day of? Or early. In the past I received it early but I haven’t even gotten a message saying it’s being disbursed.

I wanted to give an update for anyone who might be in the same boat as me. I don’t have a disbursement date for my SSCG/Cal Grant and I am unable to change my refund preference to direct deposit thanks to Bank Mobile’s bullshit. César told me today that “checks should be picked up for payment this week and received within the next 10-15 days.”

Hopefully that’s helpful for anyone who’s been waiting for some sort of answer.

Does anyone know when the next Pell Grant disbursement will go out? The whole SSCG and cal grant is behind me. I just tell myself it’ll appear and work itself out. But does anytime one when the next Pell goes out?

So im trying to get my AA in Medical Administrative Assistance and for that pathway it suggests students take an assortment of CIS (Computer Information Systems) and OFTECH (Office Technology) classes. So imagine my confusion when signing up for classes before Fall and even researching before my enrollment date for Winter the classes needed are not even listed among the other classes. I spoke to a counselor about this before Fall semester started and she told me they could show up eventually in another semester but I’m not feeling too sure and would like to know if anyone has any solutions for this.

Just out of curiosity bc I feel like if I stay another year, I can get a certificate alongside my degree since those classes match with what I’m studying for
