Man, I miss that guy.

Bailey is the most disproportionately clutch hitter in history. He’s near the bottom of the league in most situations but when it matters he’s Bonds like.

Over .400 more OPS than his regular season. He got that clutch gene.

What a shot! Always gonna root for him, and the Guards are an easy team to root for in general.

Vogt is the one leading my rooting for the Guards this year.

I resoundingly do not. He was great defensively, but day to day his bat sucked for multiple seasons. He was good for an occasional bomb, but consistently was mediocre at the plate. He also projected “I don’t want to be here” with his body language and mannerisms. Good or not, I want Giants players that WANT to be in SF.

I find it really weird when people make assumptions on what a player wants based on body language. It’s like Belt’s “slumpy shoulders” thing, it’s nonsense.

Alex Pavlovic is on record on his podcast shortly after the trade saying Bailey wanted to be a Giant for his whole career and had hoped for some extension talks prior to 2026.

Oh no! Not his body language!

Man does not hustle out any hit which is wild considering he had that inside the park homerun once. Maybe he turned it around but I for one remember the classic Pat Bailey jog to first

Nah. Just didn’t dig his smugness with the OPS he was rocking. Like I said, he hit bombs, but mostly was unproductive as all hell. He’s super lopsided, and I remember that aspect more than anything else the last two seasons. I’m not gonna be all wooey woo nostalgic for a player we were excited to jettison a quarter of the way into the season.

Also Belt was one of my all time favorite players

Yup, happy for his success but he clearly wasn’t going to be a building block for the franchise going forward. Giants fans just continue to get overly attached to mediocre talent.

that mediocre talent helped a team win their DS and is currently helping them win game 1 of a CS.

go off tho surely you know ball.

I have a ton of love for the guy and wish him the best. Insanely clutch when it mattered, Mendoza line when it didn’t but regardless he was OUR homegrown guy at a time when we had basically no homegrown talent

Him getting a ring would put the icing on the shit cake we ate this season.
