I'm excited to introduce to you... Mortal Kombat Sculptured Edition '95!

Sega Lord X once posed the question... what if Sculptured Software had developed Mortal Kombat on Sega Genesis instead of Probe? And what if they had the resources they had in 1995 when they developed Mortal Kombat 3? I've spent the last two years working on answering that question and I finally have a game I can show you!

A collaborative effort, it contains all enhanced backgrounds with new parallax layers, the arcade characters with full frames of animation, all of the content from the Sega CD version, original arcade voiceovers and sounds, and for the first time ever, the original Dan Forden soundtrack rearranged on the YM2612. All of this locked in on a 32meg cart.

This is the version of Mortal Kombat you've always wanted on Sega Genesis.

It's almost ready to present a playable ROM but I thought I'd give you a video preview of how it's come along. We are very proud of it.

I keep seeing reviews that list GUNSTAR HEROES in the (Top 3) of must have games, for the Genesis!
Everything about it, is supposed to be Top Tier🙌
I normally see it priced, a bit higher than I can justify to myself. But I happened to catch an auction where it was under $40 on the last day. I bid a maximum of $95 not expecting to win….
The eBay sharks waited till the last 30 seconds and I managed to survive the bidding frenzy.
Even though the cart label is damaged, I know I can get a reproduction made if I get fixated on it.
Game booted right up without issue, and I’m excited by the prospect of many replays in the future.
I regret nothing and my girlfriend is actually excited to play Co-op together, so I see this an investment into us so win/win.

The blue Sega logo doesnt even appear. All my other games work fine. Cleaned pins too. Any input would be great. Wasnt sure if the back side suppose to look like that.

Recently purchased a couple of these multi-game carts to try and they work well, but all of the ones I got, it looks like if you're in the middle of a game and want to go back to main menu to choose another game, you have to press the reset button on console. Maybe this is just the standard for these carts, but I was wondering if anyone here knows of a cart that allows you to get back to main menu via the controller instead of hitting the reset button on console. I play kinda far back so getting up to reset the console for a new game continuously is a bummer! Google is telling me some carts are programmed to bring you back to main menu when in middle of a game by pressing button combinations on the controller, but I am yet to find one that does this ..unless this is just something I'm simply overlooking? Thanks guys!

7 years late, but hey, I’ll take it.

I'm thinking of getting back into consoles. But the newer ones don't interest me. So I decided to go back to Genesis. But when I check around I see several models. Which one(s) are worth getting now? I know the one I had back in the day was the rectangle shaped Sega Genesis. Should I go with the older or newer models? Are those cross models any good?

If it matters the only games I'm interested in are like a few sports games & fighting games. At most 10 games or less.

Also what about the controllers, 3 or 6 buttons? Would Gamestop or any local game store be worth getting these at? Or should I go other spots?

1st half I recorded from Fusion on windows 11, sounds pretty good. 2nd half I recorded the same iso files running on my mega Everdrive Pro, on Genesis model 2, through SCART cable to Retrotink 1080p. You can hear the mp3 artifacts on the softer instruments. I hear the same thing when playing through RGB component cables to my trinitron. No idea if it's an Everdrive issue, Genesis issue, or my BIOS file or something. Any ideas?

I bought a Genesis recently and I’ve been quite paranoid about buying potentially fake games that could damage my console. Is it something I should worry about or are fakes usually quite obvious?

Now I’ve finally been able to connect everything I wanted to my little JVC unit. Another great purchase was a surge protector with a switch for each outlet.

There is 13 total games, 3 without cases. The rest of the games have the artwork, and pamphlets inside. The console is tested and it works, it has its original power supply and manual, 3 controllers 1 of which is in its original box from 1995 (the box was kept the controller has been used but in amazing condition) only one controller really shows wear.
Anyway i’m looking to see if it’s worth it to keep these games and console or to have it go to a new home.

King's Bounty: Better than the PC version, this isn't turn based or grid based. Ancestor of Heroes of Might and Magic, a good Strategy/RPG game.

Buck Rogers Countdown to Doomsday: Better than the PC version, simplified and understandable. No more first person camera, better spaceship combat and shorter playtime. It's like Star Wars meets Dungeons and Dragons.

Fatal Labyrinth: Ehh, maybe not a good game but it's decent. It's the first console roguelike ever and only 128 kilobyte so the game is little bland and repetitive.

When I was little, my grandpa has a sega genesis that had one of those multicart cartridges. I remember when it booted up it had from 9-12 games. I remember the menu having a very nice theme and colorful abstract visuals.

Does anyone know what cartridge im talking about? I would love to see that menu again

Been on a Shmups spree🙌🏽, and added this classic to the collection.
I was happy to pick it up for $38 minus a manual. All the reviews speak well for it and I look forward to zoning out on it, while the waifu is gone in Boston.

Been meaning to do a replay for a while now, but last time I did it held up pretty well.
