Question (general) Need help!!

After drawing the rune....how shall I make it work or what's the process it starts working

You're talking about "charging" the symbol. I'd suggest a Chaos Magic sub for advice on that. Here you're more likely to get historical information. Which doesn't involve charging.

In Egil’s Saga the implication is that the magic is in the words. But there's no specifics on how it works or why

The process is you add more runes until you form a complete word. Then you read that word from left to right. After that you have the option to add more words to form a sentence, then paragraph and a chapter and so on.
