Hey everyone!

1999 and 2027 have the exact same calendar layout!

It’s pretty cool to think that a vintage piece of Ranma merch from 27 years ago will be 100% usable for the entire year of 2027.

Does anyone else here collect vintage calendars?

Episode 135 is very unusual in that Ataru and Lum both appear, yet Lum doesn't say a single word to Ataru.

When Lum flies downtown to check if the gossiping flowers are causing trouble, she finds a frantic Mendo having a mental breakdown over a misunderstanding about wetting the bed, while Ataru mocks him. During this scene: Lum interacts with Mendo, but doesn't say anything to Ataru.

The other instance I can recall where Lum doesn't interact with Ataru is Episode 100, but Ataru and Mendo were the only characters who appeared in that one.

i just went to the “art of manga” exhibition at the brooklyn museum in new york! was really happy to see this exhibit come to the east coast after its initial stint in san francisco. this is the same exhibition that takahashi flew out to see in sf

even just seeing her name hung up made me cry . it was really special

the titles focused on were MAO, mermaid saga, rinne, & some ranma + inuyasha. i would’ve loved to see urusei yatsura featured as that was her debut, but im sure the curation / behind the scenes team would’ve included it if they could. the only thing with lum in the exhibition was a copy of the dancing star fan book in the library

also worth noting that all of the merch in the gift shop is the exact same as what they had in sf: down to all of it being designed with “de Young museum”. nothing has been reprinted with brooklyn but that’s ok ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

Aside from it being one of the scariest and saddest movies I’ve seen recently, Chiikawa also reminded me a lot of the Mermaid Saga.

There was a short scene where Chiikawa was trying to figure out what happens if someone eats mermaid flesh, and I was like, I know this. 😂

Lets find out

Wahooo

I did some mock inside manga chapter covers!

The second one is inspired by that episode where Happosai has some photos of Ranma in his underwear as a girl... Now the imaginary plot for this one would be that the photos would go around a few schools until they get to Sankai... And people would mistake Sakura Mamiya for the Ranma Saotome of the photos. Doesnt make much sense but it's fun. Enjoy!

I would love to read what you guys think about this in the comments lol

Rumiko Takahashi has created countless characters throughout her works; while most are lovable, a fair number are truly detestable. They range from deadbeat dads (Genma Saotome & Mr. Fujimaru) and infuriating love interests (Kikyo & Kodachi Kuno) to genuine antagonists (Naraku), characters who oscillate between perverted and obnoxious (Ataru & Happosai), and others—like Sesshomaru, due to accusations of pedophilia. But who do *you* find the most detestable? For me, it remains that bastard Rokudo Sabato. He isn't just a terrible father to Rinne; he also ruined Ageha and Kain's lives with his scams, always thinking only of himself. Add to that the fact that he makes a living dragging the souls of the living into the realm of the dead, and he becomes an antagonist arguably worse than the likes of Saffron or Naraku. What's more, he never really faced any karmic retribution, simply ending up unemployed with a bounty of a mere 5,000 yen (27.65 euros).

If you guys know the answer please let me know. But I am curious to know if she had a favourite and you were to guess what would it be? I am going with either Inuyasha or Ranma 1/2.

I guess she's just the real yoiko hibiki idk

Does he wear a diaper or not? I'm confused because the wiki says he does, but in episode 59 Mako says "Come! Take off your diaper" and he says "You idiot! This ain't no diaper" so is it a diaper or not?

If Rumiko Takahashi posts a photo on her Twitter page alongside with Naoko Takeuchi (the creator of Sailor Moon), how you would react? It's helps that Naoko will be 60 years old and Rumiko will be 70 years old next year.
