Hey everyone! π
Iβm a beginner rider and I have got my dad's Royal Enfield Bullet 350 ES till I make enough to get my own bike. I really want to take good care of the bike from day one and hopefully keep it running smoothly for many years.
I know the basics like regular servicing, checking tyre pressure and engine oil, but Iβd love to learn from people who have actually owned and ridden these bikes for a long time.
What would you recommend I do regularly to keep my Bullet 350 in the best possible condition?
Iβd especially appreciate advice on:
- π’οΈ Engine oil β how often should I check/change it?
- βοΈ Chain cleaning, lubrication and adjustment
- π Tyre pressure and tyre care
- π§Ό Washing and cleaning β what should I avoid?
- π§ Which things should I inspect myself regularly?
- β½ Fuel β anything specific I should know?
- ποΈ Riding habits that help the engine and gearbox last longer
- π₯ How long should I let the engine warm up, if at all?
- π οΈ What should I specifically ask the service centre to check?
- β οΈ Common problems or mistakes that new Bullet owners make
- π
What should I check weekly/monthly besides the scheduled service?
- π§° Any basic tools or emergency items I should keep with the bike?
Also, if you own a Bullet 350 (especially the newer generation), what is one thing you wish someone had told you when you first bought it?
Iβm not looking for modifications or performance upgrades right now. I just want to learn how to properly maintain a stock Bullet and develop good riding/maintenance habits from the beginning.
