BIG EGG

There's a moon like Europa. A frozen glacial surface over an ocean of kilometers of water kept liquid by the heat produced by tidal effects of the gas giant's gravity. But instead of the seafloor being comprised of inanimate mud and rock, it's a continent-sized alien fetus. The whole moon is a gargantuan egg which was deliberately placed there to use tidal stresses as a heat source for incubation. Possibly the gas giant also has a ring of ice boulders, the remains of the shell of another egg that already hatched.

The shading tells me this isn't a star but what else is it supposed to be?
