Nehru had no votes.

Vallabh Patel had 11 votes, other 4 abstained from voting.

And other than Vallabh Patel, JB Kriplani and Jayaprakash Narayan were leading contenders and great leaders, but Nehru was closest to Gandhi

lol. All the green revolution and MOUs signed with Russia/Germany happened under Nehru’s supervision. Earliest IITs and IIMs were established under his leadership. India had suffered major in famine in 1940s due to Churchills evils. Nehru made food abundant and affordable.

All of these fantastic people got the correct platform because of leadership. When our ISRO came up with Chandrayan satellites, all the congratulations were showered on Supreme Leader. So I suppose a little of the same should be provided to our first PM.

Stop victimising yourself by trendy false narratives. Shri PJ Nehru wasn’t nominated for PM voting by PCCs. He was later suggested by CWC and got elected when Shri SV Patel withdrew himself due to reason only known to him despite getting 12/15 PCCs votes. There are theories implying that Shri MK Gandhi and many others might have influence it but there is no evidence.

Hasn't this been true for both BJP and Congress.

BJP rode on Anna's protests and created this atmosphere which eventually led to Manmohan Singh govt. Downfall.

Now Congress is riding Dipke's protests and it might eventually being down Modi Government.

Moral of the story is you need to understand Indian Political circle is full of illiterate, corrupt and opportunistic thieves.

Next time when you vote :

  1. Check you list of candidates in your constituency

  2. Check criminal cases against each one of them

  3. Browse their last two-three years social media presence and statements in public

  4. Check their educational level.

Any statement given to divide the country and anything statement with a soft support to our enemies: Eliminated

Excessive Freebies: Eliminated

Minimum Graduation if not eliminated

Leave aside nation wide impact , check in manifesto - what are the things listed for your own city/town's development - A new railwway line, new hospital, better drinking water, new electric lines, garbage collection, better roads. These are the things that affect you.

Lastly when they come to ask vote, ask them for a deadline of promises made. Record it and Let it be on social media.

Modi sold the country.

Meanwhile before Modi, our country used to outsource the job of building roads to international private corporations just to build a competent road. And the contract was made so that said company privately collected toll on said road for years too. (Yamuna Expressway)

Meanwhile before Modi, the private corpo that was behind Bhopal Gas Tragedy was notade to answer. Nobody got arrested for blatant negligence that led to killing of entire family trees, 1000s of people.

I could go on. I would say something actually against this bullshit take, but it's a beaten dead horse at this point.
