Okay hear me out, I figured out the absolute BEST (and funniest) way Ranger Reject could end, and it actually makes sense
I’ve been thinking about the endgame of the manga and the author's logical but also super fun too style, and I swear I came up with the ultimate black-comedy ending for Fighter D. If the manga doesn’t end similar to this, I’m gonna lose it lmao.
Think about it, D is a duster. he doesnt show any interest in any girl, and struggles to understand humans and just wants to destroy the Dragon Keepers. But what if his ultimate punishment is the most stressful human harem ever?
So after the final fight and You know who’s defeat, D meets sentouin xx while he's just scavenging through the ruins looking for any leftover tech or any worth divine tool thingies for helping his ongoing plan for world domination. While digging through (that ranger's stash that did experiments), he accidentally triggers a secret button or collapses a shelf, smashing a container of that ranger's experimental human/biomass ser right over himself while he is still disguised in Hibiki Sakurama’s body and face. And he accidentally splashes some on XX too. The serum works instantly, making D a 100% real human permanently stuck looking like Hibiki, while XX also turns into a human girl by accident. She immediately loses her mind, grabs D by the throat and yells that she's gonna kill him, which actually panics D because now he can die for real and won't just turn back into dust so it's not a joke anymore!
From there it becomes an absolute nightmare harem of beast level women with major psychological issues. Angel Usukubo is on her knees making a literal altar for him like omg Lord D you are my human god now! Yumeko Suzukiri stands by the window eating an apple with a sadistic smile, making plans to blackmail him now that he has human organs and stomach aches. Hisui Kanera, who survived the battles, walks in with bandages and gives D a massive slap on the back of his head, ordering him to do pushups.
Then Sesera finally wakes up from her coma. She opens her eyes, sees all these girls crowded around D. And D gets super mad at all of them harassing him, pushes them away and yells with absolute tactical seriousness: "Silence, all of you! Change of plans. My plans for world domination have been rushed. so stop wasting my time with these human trivialities! XX, stop crying about your fingernails and stand in formation! Angel, dismantle that useless altar, i need to focus on my new strategy. Kanera, put the handcuffs away, and Suzukiri, listen closely! and he thinks to himself: hmm... Now that my structural cells have changed, my plan for global domination must adapt. I need to decide which one of them possesses the highest tactical value to help me rule this planet.
Instead of getting offended, Sesera looks up from the floor, her cheeks turn bright pink, her eyes sparkle like crazy, and she just zones out completely into her own world. In her mind, she is blushing and hyper-fixating on his behavior, realizing that this incredibly cold glare, this authoritative voice, and the absolute dominance he shows by putting all these lowlies in their place is the absolute peak of how much her "brother" has grown. She gets totally overwhelmed by how dangerous and mature his attitude is now, and she decides she wants him even more, while D sees her blushing like a total freak and screams for help.
Meanwhile, the real Hibiki Sakurama passes by the hospital room corridor. He's got a missing arm, his face is horribly burned from acid, and he's wearing his Neo-Ranger hood. He peeks through the window, sees D getting absolutely mauled by a harem of toxic girls while his sister is completely zoned in on De and now is completely ignoring him. The real Hibiki just lets out a huge sigh of relief, fixes his hood with his one good hand and thinks about how passing his identity to D was the best business deal of his life. He just walks away whistling happily, glad that it's D and not him! XX keeps yelling at D for a bit, but she eventually stays with the real Hibiki because they had that connection, leaving D completely stuck with the rest of the psychos

TL:DR i know some of these characters dont talk like this (D) or act 100% like this especially considering what happened in/after the IRA arc. But either way i just thought it was too funny not to put this here.

TL:DR 4: also sorry for the harem vibes, I also read/listened to global freeze and my mind kind of stayed there, i know this isnt the manga's theme. but it kinda sort of went into that with angel and i forgot which girl were both at the same time near D and i think some character said Something or maybe i forgot?

I was introduced to this series via a Persian translation of Volume 1 of the manga. I was then unable to find more translations, so i was forced to rely on the anime an at least basic understanding of the plot beyond Volume 1.

With all that said, I have some stuff I wanna ask, followed by my theories. Keep in mind, I have unfortunately not read the manga past where the anime currently ends, so I apologize for getting stuff horribly wrong or theorizing about what has been confirmed.

1. What drew you into this series in the first place?

For me, it was the original take on a Power Rangers-type story, the deconstruction of several of the elements as well as D himself, who's probably one of the most complicated protagonists I've seen, given his tendancy to walk the line between hero and villain.

1. Footsoldier D has two paths he could take from here on out:

A. He continues to do various heroic acts in pursuit of his goal for World Domination, until humanity acknowledges him as a true hero and bombards his ass with praise and love.

D would then realize that he has effectively dominated the world like he always wanted, without ever forcing anyone to obey him. This would cause him to step down as a self-proclaimed villain and switch to being a hero instead.

B. D would grow more and more heinous and end up surpassing the Dragon Keepers in villainy, until he becomes a cruel tyrant ruling over Earth with an iron fist, his friends either killed, enslaved or planning to rebel and overthrow him.

But even then, D still finds it all meaningless and doesn't know what to do.

Hi, I'm making this post to ask why the Ranger Reject subreddit is so inactive. Like, I see maybe three or four posts a month at most, and it's usually either super funny or amazing fan art (keep it up, guys!). But I barely see anyone talking about their thoughts on the series, theories — even the crazy ones — or general character discussions anymore. Then again, maybe I'm talking nonsense since I'm comparing it to the Centuria sub, which is pretty active, and those are the only two subs I follow on Reddit.
