Last August I said I was building a Pushbullet successor, then vanished. It's built.

I posted here last August about building fwd (https://www.reddit.com/r/PushBullet/comments/1mhhetj/). Then I went quiet for a year. In my defence, I had a daughter, and she had strong opinions about my free time.

If you missed that post: fwd is a Pushbullet replacement. It sends links, text and files between your own devices, end to end encrypted, so only your devices can read them.

It's built now: a Chrome extension, an Android app and a Mac menu bar app. No iPhone, Windows app or notification mirroring yet. The post below has the full list of what I promised and what actually shipped.

It's free during the beta and after it: the free plan stays at 25 MB files, 1 GB of storage and 5 devices. The first 100 people to finish setup get a permanent founding plan with more. Android is live on Google Play as a closed beta, and invites start going out to the waitlist this week.
