Plumber logic: small drips become flooded basements. We talk about it the minute something feels off.

Because she is. When she's building, I'm the loudest voice in her corner.

**4. Competence is attractive. Pursue yours.**
Both of us are building something. Nothing's sexier than a partner who's chasing a vision.

**5. No scorekeeping.**
Nobody's "winning" the relationship. We win together or we both lose.

**6. Say it out loud.**
Money, stress, needs, fantasies. If it stays in your head, it turns into distance.

**7. Phones down, eyes on her.**
She's got my full attention at least once a day. Not negotiable.

**8. Keep the spark on purpose.**
Surprise her. Text her something bold at noon. Plan the night before she asks.

**9. Fight like we're on the same side of the table.**
Heated is fine. Disrespectful is not. We attack the problem, never each other.

**10. Be her safe place and her biggest risk.**
Home is calm. Life with me is an adventure. She gets both.

Once upon a time, in a beautiful little town, there lived a sweet girl named Riya. Every morning, she walked to school with her bag on her shoulders and a little smile on her face. 🎒🌷

At the same time every day, a boy named Aarav walked along the same road on his way to work. He was a simple, kind-hearted boy who always seemed to be in a hurry.

One beautiful morning, their eyes met for the very first time. 👀💕

Riya looked at Aarav, and Aarav looked at her. For a second, the whole world seemed to become quiet. Then, without saying a single word, they both smiled shyly.

The next morning, it happened again.

And the morning after that, too. 🌼

Soon, their little smiles became the sweetest part of their mornings. Riya would secretly look forward to walking down that road, and Aarav would find himself looking up whenever he heard footsteps approaching.

Abby and I grew up in California, and now that we live in the Midwest, our yearly vacation is our way of going home. This year we pointed the car at Death Valley.

Nothing prepares you for the scale. Badwater Basin sits 282 feet below sea level, and the salt flats stretch out like another planet. Zabriskie Point at sunrise turns the badlands gold and rust. Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes at golden hour feel endless. After dark, the stars are unreal. No city glow, just the whole Milky Way.

Pro tips:

Fill up on gas whenever you see a station. Services are sparse.
Bring way more water than you think you need.
Go in spring or fall unless you enjoy 120°F.
Coming from flat Midwest roads, the drive alone was worth it. Home hits different when it's this wild.
