First Timer Tips

My family is in town, and we are going to our first ever NHL game. We’ve been to lower level hockey games, but never the NHL. Just seeking suggestions for things to do before the game (do have two kids elementary aged), food recommendations (in the stadium), or just general do’s and don’ts of going to a Predator game. We already have our Predators gear and parking won’t be an issue. Any tips would be appreciated!

Not much to do for kiddos outside the arena unfortunately. There’s a small park you can go to. Inside they have stuff you can sign the kids up for which is pretty fun.

I recommend hanging around inside and getting a good spot by the glass for warm ups

Yeah, a Tuesday game won't have much. Weekend games will often have face paint, games, and some other stuff for kids in the plaza out front

Thanks for the info. I kind of figured there wouldn’t be a ton for a weekday game, but you don’t know what you don’t know lol.

Go to Fan Relations (next to the smaller pro shop inside the main entrance to Bridgestone) and tell them it’s your first game. There is also a catfish in an aquarium there and a kids Gnash fun zone down that hallway. There are several photo op spots along the first floor concourse, including one where you can get a virtual picture with a Preds player. As for the game, we wear earplugs because it is too loud for us these days lol. There are bands that play during intermission but if the kids aren’t interested in that there are plenty of food & merch stalls to window shop.

Assembly Food hall is probably the best for pregame food and drinks, especially with kids.

Thank you. We checked out the website, but we were curious if there was some local knowledge. We definitely plan on taking the kids to Gnashville!

Our kids love hanging out there before the game. You can also see the catfish and the Predators skull.

I was surprised when I was killing time before the Preds game with my two siblings who were both under 18 and manyyyy bars we walked past on Broadway street didn’t have age restrictions during the day so we sat inside some bars/restaurants and listened to the live music and took in the ambience for a while
