You know I've heard it said before that when someone says something like this it's kind of like a plea for help. That if they actually meant to do what they're saying they're going to do then they would have already done it. So by telling the world of this intent it's like she's being asked to be stopped. It doesn't add credibility to the story. And honestly if anything it puts her at a greater personal risk.

If she's smart she'll have multiple deadman switches so the info is released via several sources simultaneously if any harm comes to her...

It's the one unfortunate fatal flaw of our system. That we've yet to ever grapple with. But a witness can be removed. And the judge is like oh well since the witnesses no longer available and no one bothers to ask any questions. It's like looking through all of the mortality records reported by the police department and realizing just how many of them are cataloged as suicides when suicide would have been impossible. And yet our system just ignores it all of it.
