The absolute worst people have the most power right now, just trash.

u/AdministrativeLeg14 8h ago

The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity.

3

u/FiveStringTelecaster 8h ago

The problem is that some of the best have conviction but the other part of the ā€œbestā€ wring their hands instead of doing what is necessary

Well, I'm not trying to be very precise—it's a quote from Yeats's The Second Coming, a poem very much on my mind this past year. The centre certainly cannot hold, and blood-dimmed tides are starting to feel ubiquitous.

Great pull, came to say the same thing.

If Al Gore won none of this would even be happening the man could have saved us

I think Gore was a believer in regulated capitalism and would have provided responsible, appropriate leadership. He might’ve worked to regulate the news media somehow instead of setting the stage for it to devolve into a propaganda machine. He cared for the environment and was technology-forward.

Bush burned our saved up money from the 90s boom on tax cuts for the rich, got us into a decades-war and led us to the recession. It also was the beginning of the American divide. Identity politics, 24/7 news cycle allowed everyone to double down on the own opinions and be more susceptible to disinformation. Never mind his connections to the oil industry.

Then the shitty south gets all pissed over Barack Hussein Obama and needs to stage a fucking revolt and their revolt gets usurped by the billionaire class because the collective GOP South is a loud fucking moron we’re now stuck bargaining with each day as we desperately try to just exist.

Remember Obama wanted to show a precise breakdown of federal spending with the DATA Act? But no, heaven forbid The People have a means of accurately seeing where their money goes. GOP leadership killed it.

Dems have had poor leadership in key moments too, though. Joe Biden idiotically anoints Kamala when his whole presidency was as a literal perfect ā€œhandoffā€ position but God love him, he failed to meet that moment. Justice Ginsburg is another one who should have hung it up. Sometimes you have to know when it’s time. But these two instances opened doors for the leadership we now have.

Over time, GOP leadership prevented a more balanced Supreme Court. Prevented student loan forgiveness. Gotten us into one crisis after another, domestic and international. We have never been less united as a nation.

Little did we know GOP leadership has just been siphoning power and wealth from The People for generations, and set us on this path towards hyper partisanship.

Zelenksy is a real leader who loves his country and that drives them crazy.Ā Ā

26

u/Conscious-Candle- 8h ago

He puts his people first every single day.

23

u/BananasPineapple05 8h ago

I mean, to ask the question is to answer it, isn't it?

If it can be done, he did it.

u/Remarkable-Month-241 8h ago

Donald Trump and Elon Musk are domestic and international terrorists and should be treated as such.

2

u/hyphenssuck 8h ago

History will not be kind to them... To be sure

1

u/FiveStringTelecaster 2h ago

We should not wait for history to punish MAGA

18

u/FiveStringTelecaster 8h ago

Will the Dems make sure justice is served and not some sham? Time will tell.

10

u/Pudi2000 8h ago

Damn I wish they could confiscate the damn star link.

3

u/Rand-all 8h ago

If only they could prosecute the slime ball that is pushing his agenda for misinformation chat bots and pro Nazi propaganda.

3

u/SyzygyPidgey 8h ago

Only if we give them the power to do so.

2

u/ZombiePiggy24 4h ago

I love voting them out of power and blaming them for everything the Republicans do anyways

u/SyzygyPidgey 4h ago

Tis Murc's Law

killers they are

7

u/norm-1701 8h ago

The word traitors may be fitting too.

9

u/Strong_Tea_1072 8h ago

Respect to Zelensky, a man with principles, who is fighting for his country. Unfortunately, we lack that type of leader in America.

6

u/nonubiz 8h ago

And he wants a peace prize what a joke

6

u/Free-Bad7871 8h ago

Oh he definitely did.

6

u/VoidWolves 8h ago

According to Hegseth that would qualify Trump and Elon for livestream exe. ?

5

u/Lucky-Mia 8h ago

US is a russian allie. NATO take note. We have an enemy in the hen houseĀ

2

u/Strong_Tea_1072 8h ago

The orange turd is a Russian ally. ThecAmerican people still support NATO.

1

u/Lucky-Mia 8h ago

I hope so. I honestly have 0 confidence, but I would really love to work with / against the US. My supply and feelings depend though,Ā  so far, not good. Don't invade me!

1

u/Flat-Row-3828 6h ago

Tons of Americans are too self absorbed to care about anything or one but themselves, and possibly their immediate family. That won't change.

6

u/probiotic_bbq 8h ago

so wouldn't it be in the Ukraine's defense interests to neutralize Elon Musk as a threat?

4

u/hyphenssuck 8h ago

Hell it'd probably be in America's best interest at this point.

5

u/Sarabeth68 8h ago

I remember during the rise of Elon, back in 2010 or so when Obama was showing him love, I was 100 convinced he was Russian, people told me he was SA, I swear I thought it was BS. Imagine my surprise when I found out he was from SA. I am still wondering though if daddy didn't leave Russia with lil Elon and go to SA

FOr somebody from SA he sure does do a lot of good things for the motherland I mean Russia

3

u/Nearby-Poetry-5060 8h ago

As soon as Trump is gone, Elon needs to be arrested and his companies expropriated.Ā

1

u/BarrettsFrontier 8h ago

Why arrest when Delta exists?

3

u/Similar-Sir-2952 8h ago

They’ve done it to Ukraine before

5

u/Appropriate_Bench281 7h ago

The US may not recover from this presidency. I don’t even think it’s reached the bottom yet either. Ukrainians died today because of this traitorous, cowardly behaviour.

4

u/5wmotor 7h ago

"The USA/Russian Block".

We don't even have literature about it...

7

u/Veers85 8h ago

Musk is a terrorist and a valid military target. Ukrainian security forces should do the world a favor. It can't be this hard to bribe a Ketamin dealer

2

u/Buddhas_Warrior 8h ago

Hey Pierce, do you think he wouldn't?

2

u/WallyMcBeetus 8h ago

They really hated to see the bots they rely on disappear.

2

u/SeaInvestigator2902 8h ago

when you think they couldn't go any lower, lock them up. Murderers

2

u/Technical_Visit_1424 8h ago

De verdad alguien duda de que lado estƔn estos dos? No defienden los intereses de USA como van a defender los de Ucrania, UE o cualquier otro paƭs?

0

u/DweebLSD 8h ago

you do know that Elon restricted the Russian’s access to Starlink…..multiple times now

2

u/Trading_shadows 6h ago

What a hero.

0

u/DweebLSD 6h ago

Im not saying that, but to infer that he's on Russia's side is...weird since the thing youre saying he's on Russia's side for....is something he's already done to Russia multiple times and has been continuously doing to Russia since Feb 2026

2

u/Trading_shadows 6h ago

I'm not saying that, you're speaking to the other person. Nothing wrong with that though, he defended russia several times during the war by limiting starlink usage and his rhetorics is prorussian also.

1

u/DweebLSD 6h ago

….he defended russia by not allowing Russia to use Starlink…

what the fuck are you talking about

2

u/Trading_shadows 6h ago

Yes, dude, the only thing he did was not allow Russia to use starlink. No other actions ever were made. Not like he ever tried to disrupt military operations at Crimea in 22, during the counteroffensive in 23, not like he basically disabled drone air defence 2 days ago.

But hey, he doesn't allow russia to use starlink, nice job.

0

u/DweebLSD 5h ago

"Throughout 2024, reports grew that Russian forces were illicitly acquiring and using Starlink terminals (often smuggled through third-party countries or captured on the battlefield) to coordinate drones and communications in occupied parts of Ukraine. SpaceX stated at the time that they did not sell Starlink to Russia and worked with Ukrainian officials to address unauthorized use."

I was wrong. They didnt shut down Russia's Starlink...they never sold them any and even worked with Ukraine....

So..youre being a sarcastic prick saying Russia not using Starlink isnt a big deal...while saying it is a big deal that Ukraine cant....

2

u/Trading_shadows 5h ago edited 3h ago

Whatever you say bro, looks like you don't even know the subject while trying to argue with a person who has to know all that in order to survive.

3

u/antifaamerican 7h ago

Elon Musk should be a valid military target now. World will be a much better place without him.

3

u/dumbboyhappydude44 8h ago

Zelensky is an international hero. Shame on Putin and the American moron

1

u/Majestic_Artichoke55 8h ago

Gotta be a nail in the coffin for all ally governments.

Now pls listen to you’re people and call to end the genocide and stealing of land in Palestine

1

u/IfItHurtsThenMaybe 8h ago

On their genitals also

1

u/geekyheart225 8h ago

Why do people still watch piers morgan?

eta, of course musk did. he's like a cartoon villain

1

u/Bavic1974 7h ago

Elon Musk has stated that the U.S. government—not SpaceX—controls the Starshield satellite systems and is responsible for any operational restrictions or speed limits affecting Ukraine. On October 14, 2026, responding to reports that Ukraine's military communication and drone operations were severely disrupted by sudden overnight connectivity throttling, Musk clarified the operational division between his company's commercial services and government-contracted infrastructure

1

u/cultkiller 6h ago

Elon Mush is his new official name.

2

u/Speed_102 6h ago

I remember when Musk did this early in the war too.

2

u/RowInevitable7986 5h ago

Yes
Unconscionable

2

u/WhompBiscuits 4h ago

The reason Musk et al are pissed about Ukraine's missile strikes is because, IIRC, they took out one or more Russian white-wing bot farms just the other day.

2

u/BeMyBrutus 4h ago

I can't imagine the security Zelensky has traveling to places like this

1

u/Freeman-69 1h ago

Because there’s a dictatorship in Ukraine, I haven’t been able to go outside for six years—if I do, they’ll snatch me up and send me to the front. Meanwhile, he’s sitting there in a studio. I don’t even have the money for a chair, for fuck’s sake; I just lie on the floor, staring at my phone. I’ve lost all semblance of being a human being.

0

u/jamesegattis 8h ago

After the last episode of Musk throttling starlink the Ukrainians should have found another option.
