But we’re not taking in generalities. We’re talking about this specific person: Tyler Robinson.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said in September 2025 that people close to Robinson described him as having a “leftist ideology.” In July 2026, prosecutors argued in court filings that Robinson targeted Kirk because of Kirk’s conservative political and religious views, including his positions on LGBTQ+ issues.

Sure. But I'm not arguing against those points.

Im specifically saying "he dated a trans person" doesnt mean he wasnt a right winger.

Yes. Just that all the other evidence, including what his friends and his trans GF told the prosecution confirms that he is an ardent leftist.
