April 2022, he proposed this as part of an amendment to the inflation reduction act, and it would apply to Medicare part B and D, matching them to another VA program. It was voted down because there were already other items in the package that the party was trying to pass. This is where the 99-1 number came from, and the Inflation Reduction Act ended up passing.

April 2026, Sanders actually brought forth an amendment that did reduce prescription drug prices by more than 50%, the number cited in the photo. It failed 49-49. Every single Democrat and independent voted in favor, 3 Republicans voted in favor.

Bernie is probably tired of this meme, since it discourages people from voting for the party that would pass healthcare reform.

I can only imagine why this particular meme is making the rounds this time of year.

Take any political propaganda with a big grain of salt, especially any that are completely devoid of details.

I'm not a a sycophant, I don't think the Democrats are perfect, but I also look at voting history and platform.

I honestly wish it was a hard choice. It's not.

Until the GOP starts reliably losing and having to actually do things that help their voters, it will remain an easy choice.
