Long term RV parking

I will be transferring to the area through my work and am in need of a place to park my RV. I will be living in it as I get established in the area so I would need access to a 30amp hookup and preferably water as well. I would also be willing to commute if it's not too far.

I’d been finding it hard to find what’s going on in the area because all the events are all over the place. I’ve aggregated them all in one place for everyone’s convenience. Now let’s go attend! 😁😁😁

Community I started the Townsend Exchange for buying/selling in a zero waste sort of way, specifically for Jefferson County

https://townsendexchange.com

I was inspired by the Salt Spring Exchange, where the community is so tight, that they don’t have to rely on Facebook Marketplace, Next Door, or Craigslist. All three try to be too many things at once, and are too full of spam, ads, and bugs. I tried to join the Townsend “Buy Nothing” Facebook group and was informed it’s “full” and would not be accepting new people. So I launched the Townsend Exchange.

Starting with buy/sell/give away and estate sales, and hopefully it will grow into a community hub.

If you’d like to help support, find something you no longer need, and post it on the exchange!

I need falls advice for lunch

Im going to be in port townsend for one afternoon and am highly debating a few places for lunch. Im having a hard time narrowing it down and am starting to get option fatigue. I wanted to see what your choice would be from these options:

Dogs-a-foot for a good hot dog

Anchor for a good smash burger

Tommykmockers for chowder

Sea js for good fish

Or mo bbq

They all look so good. 😯😰

And as always thanks in advance as i know these questions can get old and repetitive

Photographer Needed!

Hi! I'm an Master's candidate in Architecture at Rice Uni in Houston, and my thesis project site is Port Townsend! So this might sound a little unusual of a request but I'm looking for someone who can take some site photographs for me. They would consist of some very simple street photographs and of empty plots of land.

I will be travelling there myself as well but I'd like to see if I can manage to get some photographs before I organize my trip later this winter.

We can talk of compensation of course. And for photographs I'd be providing pinned locations in the town, as well as a few examples of the type of photography I'm looking for, mostly simple orthagonal and direct photographs.

Please join us at the Chimacum Grange on October 3rd from 10-11am, for an updated “Spin Your Meter Backwards With Solar” presentation by Andy Cochrane. He will explain how solar electric power systems work, state and utility financial incentives, equipment choices and the basics of site assessment. This presentation is recently updated with changes in policy, incentives, and updates in technology, especially in regards to the current state of technology og Energy Storage Systems and lithium batteries. Olympic Peninsula solar projects will be used to illustrate.

Since 2003 Power Trip Energy Corp has installed over 1250 grid-tied solar PV systems on the Olympic Peninsula totaling more than 12 megawatts of power-generating capacity. Come learn why grid-tied PV is the most reliable and economically sensible way to generate your own energy.

Port Townsend vs Friday Harbor vs Anacortes

Thumbnail
0 Upvotes

I will be retiring soon. My wife and I are strongly considering buying in Port Townsend, Friday Harbor or Anacortes. We love all three towns for different reasons. I'm in my mid-60s, and my wife is in her late 50s. We like going on long scenic walks every day, that is important to us. We can pretty much adapt to any situation. We will be buying a home and, fortunately, budget is not a concern for us in any of the three towns. We have stayed in all three towns, but have visited Port Townsend the most. Friday Harbor was great BUT when we stayed there for a week 6 years ago there was a problem with the ferry, which delayed our return, so I'd be very interested in hearing from locals if the Friday Harbor ferry is reliable. We met friendly locals in all 3 towns, but other posters on Reddit, Facebook, etc, said the opposite, so I would be interested in hearing any thoughts about which town has the friendliest residents.

Thanks in advance for any info anyone can offer.

Can anyone tell me who runs the used vehicle lot on this corner? I haven’t seen a sign to contact them. I’d like to sell a vehicle and wondered if they sell on consignment or not. TIA.
