Development Testing out my custom menu UI
Hey gang.
Thought I'd share something I've been working on after a short hiatus from hacking. Since I'm clearly compelled to customise all graphics ๐ .
This custom fossilised start menu was made possible thanks to this feature branch of the pokeemerald-expansion (put together by miriamlefae) which I used as a base.
Some final tweaks to be done with the clock and such, but as a concept, It turned out alright, I reckon.
Totally consider using the expansion if you aren't already for your Gen III hack, by the way.

That's awesome! I can't wait to try it, you keep showing something cool in every update, do you think we could get an estimated time for an alpha or beta release?

Aha. Thanks my friend. At my production rate probably 2056 unfortunately ๐ฌ
I'm very particular about how I intend the game to look. Which obviously takes a long time... I blame the children!
However all my custom abilities and moves are implemented, which was a big hurdle since a lot of other stuff of relies on that.
So the next big milestone will be to plug all the mons in. Which is close to happening.

It looks great! And from the few snippets youve shown Paleomon is genuinely one of my most anticipated romhacks and I get excited whenever I see you post about it!
Keep up the good work!

Can you disclose AI usage (if any) in this post and on GitHub?

We'll I would, but there is none to disclose... Not from me directly at leastย
Can't speak for the repos themselves, but. The expansion is like 10,000 commits at this point. So don't expect a full interrogation to find the traces of AI or anything if that's what you're asking.

Sounds good. Yeah, Iโm pretty sure the expansion has some AI-assisted commits. I was just curious about your branch.
Thanks!

All good. A fair question with the state of the world.
These tweaks were pretty minor, so even with my moderate C knowledge, it was pretty straightforward.

The chiseled stone sidebar and fossilized icons fit the Paleomon theme so well, especially keeping the overworld visible instead of covering it with a big text list.
