Playground plant southern Indiana

Kids were at the playground and pulled this up. There were more but that was the only one that came up at the root.

Told them to not touch them and washed our hands.

Edit: young pokeweed. Obviously my kids won’t eat it but we will pull up what we can next time we are there. I do not want the city to spray the park gravel.

Can anybody tell me the exact name of this native nc wildflower? They are one of several yellow wildflowers that are prominent in the piedmont area of NC in the fall. I’ve heard swamp sunflower but the foliage just isn’t lining up.

I got a cutting from a friend years ago. From what I recall he said it was a lime or lemon type plant from costa rica. The leaves definitely smell lemoney. I'd love to get some more details on what it actually is.

Is this a squash?

I noticed today I have this gigantic plant growing in the sliver of land between my neighbors and I. We have an acre closer to Angleton, TX. Is this something sort of squash? The giant leaves and flowers made me think pumpkin family but I'll admit my ignorance with plants.

Edit: apparently I've got myself dinner. Thanks, everyone! Admittedly (as someone raised on chicken nuggets) I'm ignorant with many vegetables 😅

Came across vibe growing on a fence on a wall this morning. "Fruits" are oblong with pointy ends and the one I opened was mostly hollow with no smell. PNW

What is this and how do I get rid of it?

Does anyone know what this is?? And how to properly get rid of it??? Every millimeter of it is covered in needle-like thorns that pierce through every pair of gloves I have tried to use and hurt when touched with the slightest pressure. It’s getting huge and some of its “branches” are rooting back into the ground and growing roots. It was the one plant almost all summer but now it’s popping up in other areas near the big one. I live in New Jersey if that helps, but have never seen something like this

I found this plant in my friend’s garden (SoCal) and thought that the fruit look like chile pequin. My phone AI said that it is Matrimony Vine, related to Goji Berries.

Anybody know this plant?

Hello! This might seem like a bit of silly question but are these fruits crabapples or small unripe pears. I lean towards crabapples but I’m not totally sure because of the shape. Thanks for the help!

Hi there! I went to Japan earlier this year and saw two plants I cannot stop thinking about. Unfortunately, it is a hassle to travel with plants from Japan and bring them back to the USA :( so I did not get them.

I tried to use google translate to search for them but was unsuccessful.

Apologies that the pictures are not the best, this was at the entrance of a coffee shop and I did not want to block the doorway.

If anyone can tell me the names of these plants it would be greatly appreciated :)

What is this? (Merremia/Camonea/Distimake)

I have this vine that isn’t what I thought it was. I grew it from seed, I know it is some sort of Merremia but it hasn’t bloomed so I have no clue which. My guess is Camonea umbellata. Does anyone here have any guesses?

Volunteer of some kind

Growing next to the back porch, next to a volunteer box elder, the tree type, not the shrub type. Both need to get removed and/or relocated.

Leaves are that shiny on their own. We’re in the middle of a drought. Tipton County Tennessee.

Thanks

Absinthia?

Hello everyone,

I am currently on vacation in italy and a local gave me a plant, saying its absinth, saying it grows like weeds over here and he gave it to me with the root to multiply at home if i wanted to.

Now.. what exactly is this plant (official name), how do i care for it, does it have any 'stimulating' properties?

I AM NOT TRYING TO EAT IT (reddit thinks i want a consumption plan. I want to know what it is and do my own further research)

The local said it makes you funny in the head so... any information would help greatly.

Thanks in advance! Have a great day :)

Edit: thanks guys! Seems to be solved as mugwort vulgaris 🙏

Hi all,
Can you please help me figure out what kind of rhipsalis is in this photo? The plant circled in red. Not the shark tooth cactus.
