Working on the theme

It's based on /r/naut which is a nice and simple theme. Still tweaking a few things. Please leave your feedback. I know this subreddit is super small, but not much I can do on that front. Thank you everyone who still visits.

Tips-Waitress Vs Pizza guy.

Why does the pizza guy get only a $3 tip when a waitress gets 15-20%?

Waitress- walks about 40 feet back and forth to bring you your food

Pizza guy - drives for miles, fights traffic, buys their own gas, wear and tear on their car, and is in constant threat of getting robbed...

My money is on the pizza guy.

Please give comments.

Question Driving a police car

I drive a decommissioned police car for delivery. I get a lot of looks in neighborhoods. My customers usually say something along the lines of “I thought you were a cop!” Or “I thought I was in trouble.” I have a hard time coming up with a funny response. What would you say in this situation?

Why do ring doorbells even exist. Press button, no answer. I never use them anymore and just knock instead.

Pull up to a house. Use their ring doorbell, doesn't notify anyone but eventually dude comes out.

Him: Oh did you use this (points at Ring doorbell and laughs)

Me: Yeah

Him: Oh that's just a ring doorbell you can use the regular doorbell

Me:...

Is anyone else using Dragon Drive for Pizza Hut delivery? We’ve been using it for a few days now and it is door dashing orders even when we are available in store for delivery.

Delivery Drivers: What problems do you face with your work clothes?

Hi everyone! I’m a fashion design student doing research on functional workwear for mechanics and technicians. I’d really appreciate hearing about your everyday experience with work clothes.

If you work as a mechanic/technician, could you answer a few quick questions?

  1. What’s the biggest problem you face with your work clothes?
  2. Do your clothes restrict you when bending, kneeling, reaching, or moving around?
  3. Do you have any problems with heat, sweat, or ventilation?
  4. What tools do you usually carry, and where do you keep them while working?
  5. Are your current pockets/storage enough? If not, what would you change?
  6. If you could add or change three things about your work clothes, what would they be?

This is only for academic fashion design research. You can answer as much or as little as you’re comfortable sharing. Thank you!

Question Saying "plus tip" after the price

"that'll be $30... plus tip"

I've had customers genuinely ask if the tip is included in the price I say so I'm thinking this will make it unambiguous from the start, but I feel like this phrasing is a little uncommon. Thoughts?

What do you think?

I am a pizza delivery driver for two local smaller franchises. Full-time. Delivery is my life. General managers don’t have a problem with it because nowhere is it linked to either store. So I’m lucky on that front. Any suggestions?

Question Is delivery your "main gig" or a side gig?

Just curious how you guys do this.

For me: I have worked food delivery (some DoorDash, but mostly dedicated pizza delivery) on and off for around 10 years. Even split of FT and PT as a supplement to my main job.

Currently working close to FT (32-35 hours) as my sole gig. Current M/P shop is losing business after the original owner sold. Looking to switch to a CNA job and work Friday / saturday / Sundays delivering as those are the money days.

I love the laid back environment and the dopamine rush of a good day / string of good orders, but man, the slow weeks REALLY screw with my mood, even though im generally good with my money.

Thoughts?

Rider cara tapada

What sauce is that

So I’m on my way home around 11:00 pm at the crossroads of “I should get to bed” and “I deserve a snack” when I pass a Blaze Pizza and decide to indulge.

When I get to the door, the manager greets me with keys, in a way that almost seems I’m not allowed in. “Come on in, I’m just closing up already because the bathroom is out of order”.

I proceed to the counter, looking over my options carefully as honestly, this is only my second time here ever. I end up ordering the spicy pepperoni, and 10 minutes later I head to the register to pick it up.

When I get there, the lady says it comes with a drizzle of Mikes hot honey if I want. When in Rome, I think. Sounds great.

I pay, grab the pizza box and proceed outside to my car. I open the door and then it hits me.

The slight reluctance of the fingers in my right hand to separate triggers a moment of dread.
Something in my pizza carrying hand is not right.

Another mistake ensues. Before I confirm the exact source of this contagion, I underestimate the situation, set the pizza box down inside my car and I try to wipe the foreign substance off..with my other hand.

Now, I can confirm. Was hoping for tomato sauce or cheese. But no. This can only be the persistent work of a honeybee.

I look down at the box and see the incursion of hot sticky goo leaking out of the bottom of the box in holes of which I really do not understand the purpose of them being there.

I have two sticky hands. Not a napkin in sight. I look back at the pizza place door. Bars in place.

Dejected, I get in my vehicle and use my forearm to pull the seatbelt over my shoulder, and my knuckle to push start, but I’m still forced to grab the shifter, unknowingly spreading the disease.

The amount of honey that transferred in that misstep, and subsequently baked on while I was at work today is nothing short of slightly remarkable. But I digress.

I spend the next 5 minutes driving home, steering with my wrists before finally, the ordeal is over.

The lone bright spot to this entire situation is that I was in fact on my way home from playing a winning session of poker. So atleast I didn’t technically pay for this experience.
