Squee is by far our most skittish cat, wary of strangers, will not approach if you make eye contact.... He's got more rules than Dungeons and Dragons, but he loves his dogs a lot! As the weather gets colder, we are expecting a whole lot more snuggling!

Bader is getting a new friend in a couple months! This will be our first kitty. I have read all the advice online about how to introduce them. Separate areas of the house, scent swapping, starting on opposite sides of a door, etc.

Do you guys have any velvet hippo specific advice? Bader is gentle and non reactive, she got along with Uni the hedgehog. She tried to play too roughly with the hedgie at first but after she got poked in the nose a couple times she understood. 😛

For the first time that I’ve seen while home, Leaper went up to sit with his brother Simba on the couch. They have been in each other’s lives for the better part of 5 years now. No sun spot to fight over, no stomping over him to take his spot. Just a polite jump up on the coach to get close to his brother. It made my heart smile. Hoping that you all enjoy!

First time seeing this... yesterday we had Rosie and Bella sharing a toy in front of Gavin, today Rosie offered another toy to Gavin in play at least 3 times. You can see Gavin thinking "Get this stinky dogbreath thing out of my face!"...

Morning festivities and displays of affection!

Valentino Fathead loves loves dogs, he's very dog friendly and was bonded to my last little dog that passed March 2025 (RIP Isabel 🌈)

Rocky came to live with us August 30th 2025. He was 5 years old and had never been around cats (he's known reactive with dogs)

But Rocky is a smart boy and we already had a bond before he came to live with me. He understood that kitty is part of the pack, don't eat kitty!

Valentino, being a cat, he runs the show and has swatted Rocky a few times but more often just because he knows Rocky is a little scared of him! (Honestly, me too!)

Momo (cat) wants to lay right next to Stitch (dog) but she’s not allowed to touch him lol, this fight ensued

I got Aggie because Rudy was sundowning and he needed mental stimulation during the day that his body no longer allows him to get on good long walks. She’s the best decision I have ever made. Note I said he WAS sundowning. It rarely ever happens anymore.

Stitch (the dog) was corn cobbing Momo (which he likes) and he decided to break out the paws

Gibson is the pittie and Finn is the cat.
