The first issue is that if the developer wants their projects easily searchable/on the surface web they'd have to distribute/maintain by not providing game file/assets.

Even then, the main consensus I've seen is since its the wild west of people distributing these with or without game file/assets is that there's bound to be ones with viruses.

Which is what SteamRIP, Fitgirl and the likes have been doing for years with say CODEX, Elamigos, etc. cracked builds centralized to their website so you can download without the fear of getting a virus.

So with that premise, is there a website like that doing so for these recompilation projects that also includes game file/assets?

I tried different ways to backup all images and videos from Windows to Google Photos for free, but kept hitting brick walls. Morphe Google Photos crashes constantly, older versions run but fail to backup, WSL for Android was unstable, and Android emulators couldn't reliably access or sync my Windows folders. At last, I found the gotohp repo which spoofs the Google Pixel mobile API, but on its own it lacked automatic folder watching and couldn't monitor my actual Windows libraries. So I built the solution myself: an automated PowerShell background watcher and suite that dynamically scans and monitors the exact directories where your media lives (Downloads, Pictures, Desktop, Documents, Music).

Under the hood, it orchestrates the gotohp CLI (all credits to xob0t/gotohp) silently in the background, listening for newly saved, downloaded, or copied photos and videos in real time. Whenever a file is detected, it uploads it directly to Google Photos disguised as an original Pixel device so it consumes 0 bytes of your Google Drive / Google One storage, even for original-quality 4K footage. It uses a local SQLite database (gphotos.db) to track every upload so nothing is ever uploaded twice, includes a live terminal progress bar or silent 1-click Windows boot auto-start, and requires zero virtual machines or Docker. My 84 year old mom has been UPS'd a letter with a subpoena from Comcast informing her that she is being sued by Strike 3 Holdings for an illegal download. She can barely turn on her TV and has memory problems but others may have had access to her wifi. I am her legal proxy. How should I proceed? Do I have to hire a lawyer?

Im so tired of guitar fingerstyle tabs/notes/sheets being behind a paywall. I do understand people need to make a living somehow but if I also want to play that piece why music has to be something only people who has disposable income can enjoy?

I am looking for a site that can clear out paywalls for guitar tabs/notes/fingerstyle tabs. I am aware there are sites where we can download sheets but those ones usually are for pianos and maybe I do not know any other good websites that can clear out guitar sheets behind a paywall. can anyone help me with this?

I've been trying to get a book (Hunting the Osage Bow, by Dean Torges) but I can't seem to find a digital copy, and I refuse to pay 100+ dollars for an old piece of moldy paper being imported from another country.

I'm trying to finally ditch Spotify (and music streaming more broadly), and I found deemix-remastered described as a decent option to get all my playlists and stuff downloaded. However, I'm a bit wary about importing my Deezer session cookie into deemix since the account is linked to my real identity and bank account. Is there a way to export a Spotify/Deezer playlist and download its contents via soulseek or similar networks?

I don't know how else to explain what I'm experiencing, but I think many of you will know what I'm talking about. This does NOT happen on sites like Youtube or Netflix, just stream sites like LookMovie or Cinejoy, or anything similar. It makes no difference if I'm at 1080, 720 or 480p.

Everything will be ok until characters start moving a lot and/or you get scenes with camera zooms/panning. It just sputters along bit by bit like it's lagging ever so slightly, but it's highly distracting for me because I can't enjoy anything I watch this way.

What fixes it immediately is when I move my mouse a bit. It instantly disappears and stays that way until I let it go idle again.

Google searched told me to try altering my power saving modes but this has done nothing to help.

Is there anything else I can try? I'm using a simple desktop computer. Thanks.

Alright so I'm seeing a lot of PS5/PS4 games being ported to pc recently like GOW3/Uncharted but one thing people forget is that not anyone has a cool gaming PC that can run the earth upscaled so why haven't we seen any ps3 ports so far? is it a hardware issue, I mean there are some games like inFAMOUS or Little Big Planet that I still didn't see get ported or is it too difficult and people just choose to emulate?

Just saw a movie in theater and wanting to check a detail. Often the movie is already up online around midnight but I tried 50+ servers and none had it.

Been tinkering with this for a few months and it's finally usable, so here it is.

MelodyBridge. You paste a public Spotify or YouTube playlist link, it grabs the track list once, then works every track down a chain of sources until it gets a file that passes the quality bar you set. Right now that chain can be Lucida (Tidal/Deezer/Amazon/Qobuz), Monochrome, DAB Music, DoubleDouble, SoundCloud, archive.org and yt-dlp. You pick the order.

The stuff that made me build it instead of using what's out there:

• it probes each file after download and bin anything that lies. Html error pages saved as mp3, wrong duration, and the classic 320kbps files that are secretly 128. There's a spectrum check for that last one.
• hardlinks duplicates, so a track sitting in five playlists takes up disk once
• every file gets a MELODY_ID tag. Delete the database, rescan, and it matches everything back without re-downloading a single track.

After that it publishes wherever you want: Jellyfin, Plex, Navidrome or a plain M3U, on a schedule if you like.

Its just a simple Docker setup:

One thing I'd rather say up front than have someone notice: I'm a C# dev and I used AI heavily to build this. It chewed through the boring parts and let me get way further than I would have on my own. Everything it produced I went over and tested, but yeah, this was an AI assisted build and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.

Like in a way that a DvD player can read/play. I’m a fan of physical media & DvD players, So would I have to do any extra prep work to make movies/TV series downloaded from the internet watchable by a DvD player? Because my main thought would be that I couldn’t use just the raw MP3 file because of menus.

Like how would having multiple episodes on one disc work, etc…

I've noticed something while playing Euro Truck Simulator 2. I have the game on Steam but I unlocked the dlcs with creamapi. Now whenever I unlock an achievement, it pops up in game but it remains locked in the steam achievement UI.

ETS2 is one of the few games using this new system, so Im not sure if it is a creamapi thing or what but this update broke something

I want to try some assets before buying it, but the pirated site i seen from older post seems already expired and the current one still available such https://devfreedom.club/ and assetsue.com lock most content behind VIP and Super VIP membership which kinda defeat the purpose of pirating.
