Оцените, пожалуйста, фотки от 1 до 10. Я не очень умею фотографировать, так скажем, экспериментирую с эффектами.

Have been really just spending time learning how to use the camera aside from pointing and shooting lol. Getting better but not where I want to be. Also hard because I don’t have autofocus to use right now. But overall I’m happy with my progress

Beginner Photographer

Hi Everyone !
I would really appreciate some help.
I am learning to be a photographer and even though I have been learning all about my camera and photography for couple of months, I have done my first 2 shoots at auto. I am a big introvert so meeting new people makes me very anxious so I decided to do couple of my first shoots at auto so I can focus on being comfortable around people and talking to them.

I have been seeing a lot of videos now, that I shouldn’t be shooting at auto at all ( which I understand completely) but my question is, the 2 shoots I have done should I be using them in my portfolio or instagram page.

An instagram photographer told me that I shouldn’t be doing any shoots until unless I am 100% comfortable shooting manual as others photographers can tell that I took those pictures on auto.

Opinions on my photos?

A few weeks ago I shared some of my work in this sub and asked for your advice, and I was so thankful for your comments! They helped me see what I was doing right and what still needed improvement.

So I spent the last month experimenting with new techniques, styles and ideas to practice. Now I'm sitting on a bench in Florence, where I've been since Monday, and I want to share some of my work from these last few days. Have I improved?

And most important, what thoughts/comments and tips/criticism do you have for me?

This was my second time trying motorsport photography. Since I am still very new to this, any advice would be appreciated. These photos have not yet been edited or cropped. I'm specifically looking for advice on things like composition and framing.

Hi all,
I am looking to submit these as a series in a photo contest, the Barbican Open Call and I was wondering if I should do any tweaks or edits to them before submitting?

I was playing around with how light interacts with the building.

All shot on my Canon-AE 1 with a red filter on my lens.

Any advice on my event photography?

Hello, this is my first post here, and I’m looking for advice on how to improve. I started learning photography two years ago, and I always enjoy trying out new fields to capture. Recently I’ve discovered that I love event photography: art exhibitions, performance festivals, conventions, etc. I’d like to take it more seriously from now on, as I’ve received positive feedback from my peers and from people who have seen my photos. So what should I do? How can I turn it into actual paid work, rather than something I do for fun in exchange for free entry? Below are some of my favourite photos from a performance arts festival called Interakcje, where I recently worked :) Thank you in advance for your help!

Reposting here for composition advice. Since I’m using an old Pentax, the focus has been on the “vibe” of the photo and the compositions.

What would make these more interesting to look at? Specifically, what are some things I should be aware of before pressing the shutter that would get me closer to honoring the original vibe and emotion of the scene?

Also, what are some fundamental principles for editing with intention? I currently just have a basic workflow in Darktable that gets every image “corrected” but not necessarily enhanced.

These flowers grow in a lane near my house. I never really noticed their beauty before I started photography. Now, photography helps me see the beauty in little things around me. 🌸

Need a work headshot in nyc and i keep overthinking the background

I have a team page update next month and my current photo is a crop from a wedding. I need something plain that still looks like me, not a movie poster. Dark jacket, no logo, short hair, glasses. The shoot has to be in manhattan because i only have a lunch break.

I hired a corporate photographer nyc for a 30 minute slot so i am not guessing a park bench. They said five retouched images and a gray or office background. I have not seen the finals yet.

Is gray safer than a real office wall? And do you smile with teeth or keep it closed for a finance team page? Also, is one outfit enough or did you regret not bringing a second shirt?

I was in Acadia National Park this weekend and playing around with some photos. I took this one, because I thought it looked kind of neat looking through the leaves. When looking back at my photos I decided I didn’t really like it. But I was showing my photos to a friend today and she said she loved it. Wondering what others think?
