Right before the World Cup Break, I was questioning why we weren't benching Damiani.
I was wrong, very, very, very wrong. Boy, oh boy, was I wrong. And I'll happily admit that I was wrong too!
Bruno just needed time and perhaps a new coach and the likes of the Sullivan Brothers and Wagner to set up some goal shots. What a turnaround for Bruno from the first half of the season until now.

Does anyone else remember when we would cringe when the other team got a red card, because we absolutely could not unlock a low block. We could not score even when we were up a man because we lacked the creativity to create when we had the posession. If we weren't pressing then we weren't scoring.
This is a brand new world, and I am here for it. #DOOP

Here is the current crop of coaches in Philly... Sirianni and the Eagles look mid af this year (last year wasn't much better). Interim Mattingly and the Phils got eliminated on the first day of "Red October" and he still got the job. Tocchet is winless and the Flyers are ranked dead last in offense thru 8 games. Nurse's Sixers got swept in the playoffs last year.
Our boy Richter is the only coach in Philly actually stringing together W's yet he's the only one without a permanent contract... Sooooo what, are they actually going to consider anyone else for the job?? Or is there something odd going on behind the scenes like maybe Richters gambling on a cup run before he negotiates a deal? Not sure what other reasons there could be, this is clearly our guy with this group of players.

If anyone was at the US vs Spain women’s match last night… I was very surprised to see how many people were there. It was packed. And a lot of fun.
With Gotham FC moving to queens in 2028 this finally creates a huge opportunity.
The Philadelphia Union needs to step up and create women’s team to play in the NWSL. It’s a chance to continue to pioneer soccer in the US and be the first MLS club to name their women’s team identically to their men’s team. (Houston, Orlando, RSL, and Portland already have women’s teams).

I hope the Union really don’t hold this kid back, he’s been pretty good for U2 and we’re solid up top! Let him go be great. Who knows he might return.

Tonight we level up, in real time, yet again. We're on the road, midweek, against a good team with ever increasing stakes.
We live for this shit.
Not only do we belong in this tier, we have everything we could possibly need to dominate this level on our way to a title. You can't spell "deal a whoopin" without DOOP 💪 and tonight we remind everybody.that it's not empty hype.

Getting ready for a great away day! How many else of you made the trip to the Windy City?

The loyalty section on the Union mobile app was crashing for the last few days. Now I just noticed that the app updated and the entire loyalty section is gone. Please don’t tell me I’ve been logging into the app everyday for nothing.

I know a lot of kids and adults who are psyched about Cavan. Some already have Man City jerseys and flags flying in front of their homes. This is a golden parent opportunity to teach kids about fair play, accountability and what that means in sport AND in fandom. You can back a player and the team that raised him, but that you draw the line on clubs that cheat for years to get ahead.
I saw 2 different kids today with City jerseys with Cavan's name on them today. Time to have some conversations with those kiddos.

...that Milan Iloski is sitting on 17 goals in MLS alone. Think he breaks Gazdag's record of 22?

Does anyone know if the Union even tried to get him back? Or, is there no room for him with our current midfield?
