ShowbizPH Filipinos are the bad guys in hit action movie The Furious (Hong Kong/China, 2026)

Post image

In this Hong Kong-China co-production a Chinese father goes on the hunt to rescue his daughter who is kidnapped by a Filipino crime syndicate involved in human trafficking. Even women aren’t spared from being kicked in the face in this one. What’s crazy is the actors playing the criminals are Thai but dubbed to speak Tagalog.

SocmedPH As a minor, I'm scared of the upcoming future of the internet. How'd to live with this if the bill "HB 11566", "SB 2424", and "HB 9465" gets enforced?

• Upvotes

Yes, these rules are beneficial because it allows minors to be protected from harmful entities, and these rules prevent the spread of misinformation. But these rules are privacy concerning.

Why do you have to share your ID, for social media use? (like the Senate version) I know it precisely gets your DOB (Date of Birth) but now it ties your ID to your social media account, and the whole anonymity is gone now.

Imagine criticizing the government that is the truth but it got flagged as misinformation, now they can subpoena your social media account and see that your ID is linked to that socmed account. Is this really about the kids? You can just outright ban those type of extremist content and be done from there. I have a theory that these rules must be passed for political figures to gain power on freedom of speech.

And about the internet, I never use it to watch extremist-type-of-content, I use it to learn things like never before. I love reading peoples opinions and expressions from all types of genres (except extremism, fascism, terrorism, and more that is not deemed normal for society) and I was grateful for the Philippines for having freedom of speech and no restrictions on the internet. And the internet helped me getting away from suicide, and making me grateful for all things of life. I also like the feeling of being anonymous on the Internet, it makes me feel safe, and I also modify my devices so companies won't have to track my data! Then those school violence occurred on the Philippines, I never expected that minors can do these actions and I was more shocked when I heard that they were being groomed on the Internet to do these actions, it's really disgusting.

In conclusion, I am going to miss the old internet, it was fun, but it can be also bad... -- a double edged sword.
The rules should use AI detection to detect if the account is a minor or not, not using your ID, the internet should be a place of anonymity, not for governments to spy on and censor information on.

Lastly, if one of these rules got enforced, I would refuse to give in my ID. I don't want governments or companies to see my personal information. And also I would like to hear your opinions about these bills.

SportsPH One Taguig FC confirms AFC Challenge League exit: "We did not withdraw."

OFFICIAL CLUB STATEMENT | ONE TAGUIG FC

Our AFCCL journey has come to an end.

After every effort to continue our journey in the AFC Challenge League (AFCCL), we have received the decision from the Federation and the AFC that brings our participation to an end.

Let us be clear: we did not withdraw. We did not surrender. We fought to stay.

We fought for our players, our staff, our sponsors, and everyone who believed in this project. We tried every avenue available to us to keep this dream alive. But sometimes, no matter how hard you fight, the forces working against you leave you with very little room to move.

It feels as though everything we have worked to build has been burned to the ground, and there is only so much a club can withstand.

This has been an incredibly difficult and painful experience for everyone involved. We are deeply disappointed that our journey must end this way, especially after the sacrifices, commitments, and trust that brought us this far.

To our sponsors and partners: thank you.

Thank you for trusting us when there were doubts. Thank you for standing with One Taguig FC when the future was uncertain. Your belief in us has meant more than words can express, and we will never take that trust for granted.

To our players, coaching staff, and supporters, thank you for fighting alongside us.

While our AFCCL journey ends here, our responsibility to the people who trusted us does not. We will continue to address our outstanding commitments and communicate with those affected about the next steps.

We may have lost the opportunity to compete, but we will not rewrite our story as one of surrender.

We did not walk away. We were forced to stop. And we will always know the difference.

One Taguig FC

SocmedPH Vlogger vs ex gf

After several months together, they finally broke up, and the other day shots were fired and so the war begins. Guy says he spent 100k on the girls lingerie and wants it back, girl says she never asked him to buy her stuff and that he looks down on Filipinos. Whoever you believe is telling the truth, I dont see any receipts from both sides. Is this drama even real? Or is this something cooked up by these two from the start just to get attention?

It seems real to me or maybe i'm just gullible, either way, i got the popcorn ready and ima enjoy this little drama at least for now🍿😁

The vlogger has also posted his mug the other day with a blackeye, punched by a security guard accordinng to him, for climbing a building? Is he on a downward spiral? i hope not, i do enjoy some of his content tbh.

PoliticsPH Quo Warranto against Erwin Tulfo junked

Post image

Voting 6-3, the Senate Electoral Tribunal has dismissed the motion for reconsideration for the dismissal of the quo warranto petition filed against Senator Erwin Tulfo by Berteni Causing.

A press release from SET Secretary Jose Luis Geronimo said the tribunal denied the motion without prejudice to the filing of any other petition.

Aside from being filed beyond the prescribed time, the SET denied the appeal for failing to comply with the filing and service requirements.

The original ruling issued in March 2026 dismissed the original quo warranto petition for being insufficient in form.

The original petition had 4 alleged grounds to unseat Tulfo: disloyalty to the Philippines and allegiance to the United States of America; for allegedly not being a Filipino citizen; for belonging to a political dynasty; and lack of academic qualification.

Members of SET

Supreme Court Justices (3):
Marvic Leonen (Chairperson)
Ramon Paul Hernando
Henri Jean Paul Inting

Senators (6):
Kiko Pangilinan – Majority bloc
Bam Aquino – Majority bloc
Camille Villar – Minority bloc
Alan Peter Cayetano – Minority bloc
Robin Padilla – Minority bloc

Why am I not surprised?

Ang nakakatawa pa dito, I had no idea who this guy was until recently. May pinost ako tungkol sa isang 13-year-old child bride a couple weeks ago.
Guess who the father of the bride is? It's this guy, Edrieza Rimbang.
Sa wedding ceremony nung child bride at nung 18-year-old groom niya, may pa-video greeting si Bong Go at may representative present si Sara Duterte. The ex-PM's wife also has a lot of photos with Sara Duterte posted on her socmed accounts.

Ito yata yung sinasabi nilang mafia from Mindanao.

NewsPH What do you think about the AI future? How do Filipinos imagine the future will be like?

AI is advancing at such a fast pace and it is really big topic of our day and age.

I'm curious to see what people think and where this technology is going. How do you see AI developing in the future?

How do you think it will affect Filipinos and the Philippines in general and will it bring positives or negatives in the future?

It seems it's going to have a really big impact on jobs, education, the economy and the Philippines is particularly vulnerable since it relies on industries and revenue streams like BPOs and OFWs which are some of the areas that are most likely going to be directly affected by the growth of AI.

The travel tax in my opinion was implemented to discourage us from going outside the country and see how well our neighboring coutries are doing as most if not all of them have surpassed our country in terms of progress and efficiency. Seeing our neighbors success will reflect how bad our government has failed our country(i include all administrations in general including the duterte administration).

Abolishing the bir and replacing it with a system where there is no human to human interaction, or at the very least if human to human interaction is required--all communication must be strictly in a "chat platform" duly preserved by the system where the bir agent is assessed via KPI and QA scores similar to how agents are assessed in the bpo industry. In fact I think it would be beneficial if the government is run like a bpo, implement kpi's and qa's accross the board in all departments that interact with citizens and taxpayers alike. Furthermore, the new system should be designed such that micro and even small taxpayers should not need an accountant to file their taxes-- the system should be that easy and intuitive for human use and when I say easy, it should be so easy to use that a legally mentally disabled human, or a human with an IQ of 70 and below can file their taxes on their own.

As to abolishing congress, the idea sounds quite appealing to be honest but I am still undecided. If I were to entertain it though, my ideal system is a system where we do not vote people or personalities into office. Instead we "vote" policies and platforms into office. We just use ai or appoint some humans under a ministerial positon to execute the policies.

These are my original and sincere thoughts on this. Does anyone have better suggestions to improve our current government system? I am curious to know your thoughts.
