Best video to convince people?
I just dropped his name with someone who hadn’t heard of him. What is the best link without a paywall to just send someone the essence of Pete.

This poll is from mid August, so I am pretty late. This poll technically asks who dem voters are most excited for, not who they want to vote for, but those questions are pretty similar imo.
Pete Buttigieg got 21% of the vote, followed by AOC and undecided tied at 14.2%
New England is an important piece of a Buttigieg coalition, so seeing him leading in Massachusetts is pretty good news.

I was looking at state polling and feeling a little down about Pete's odds, and was thinking "okay well just how bad is this polling?" and as I went poll by poll to see how far down Pete is relative to where he should be to win (I mean that some states that Pete will naturally do better / worse in, his polling can be lower or needs to be higher. I.e., Pete really needs to do good in New Hampshire, but only needs to do okay in a state like Georgia that doesn't tie into his base as much). I realized here this pattern:
In weighted averages (Race to the WH):
NH: 1st
Alaska: 2nd
California: 3rd
Florida: 1st (this was way back from the summer of 2025 though, so this can be disregarded)
Georgia: 4th, the one exception to this pattern
Maine: 3rd
Michigan: 1st
Minnesota: 3rd
Nevada: 2nd
North Carolina: 2nd
Ohio: 3rd
Tennessee: 3rd
Texas: 3rd
Vermont: 3rd
Now compare that to other candidates like Gavin Newsom:
NH: 5th
Alaska: 1st
California: 1st
Florida: 3rd (old poll, should be disregarded)
Georgia: 3rd
Maine: 1st
Michigan: 6th
Minnesota: 4th
Nevada: 1st
North Carolina: 3rd
Ohio: 2nd
Tennessee: 2nd
Texas: 2nd
Vermont: 2nd
Sure, he's leading in more places but his baseline seems to be lower. And this also is that the specific polls conducted are better for Newsom generally. California is just a given that he would lead, and Nevada and Alaska polls were conducted during, and Ohio polls influenced by, when he had that mega popularity spike that faded.
And notice how bad he's doing in NH and Michigan, two early states
Or Kamala Harris:
NH: 6th -- Again, 3rd early state
Alaska: 3rd
California: 4th (interestingly, lower than Pete. Unexpected)
Florida: N/A
Georgia: 2nd
Maine: 5th
Michigan: 3rd
Minnesota: 1st
Nevada: 4th-- an early state btw
NC: 1st
Ohio: 1st
Tennessee: 1st
Texas: 1st
Vermont: 4th
These polls worried me initially because she is leading in a lot of states. The margins especially scare me, Texas, Minnesota, North Carolina and especially Tennessee is just a blood bath for us. Hopefully as the election nears she doesn't maintain these leads.
I would like to say these states don't matter to the coalition Pete would need to win, but they do. Minnesota has many groups Pete needs to win amongst: Educated population, rural voters, solid suburb population. Tennessee was very unexpected, there is a smaller black population than other Southern States, so I was expecting Pete to do well here. Texas also just has a lot of delegates, but Pete doesn't inherently have to win here. A strong showing in some areas to keep it contested would be good, not just an all out win.
Anyways, still, several states she does not make the top 3.
Or AOC:
NH: 2nd
Alaska: 4th
California: 2nd
Florida: 2nd (old poll, should be disregarded)
Georgia: 5th
Maine: 2nd
Michigan: 5th
Minnesota: 2nd
Nevada: 3rd
North Carolina: 4th
Ohio: 4th
Tennessee: 4th
Texas: 4th
Vermont: 1st
And on Maine, Vermont and Alaska in particular these are close races. 16% (Newsom) vs 15% (Ocasio-Cortez) vs 14% (Buttigieg) in Maine, 23% (Newsom) vs 20% (Buttigieg) vs 19% (Harris) in Alaska and 17% (Ocasio-Cortez) vs 17% (Newsom) vs 16% (Buttigieg).
So, maybe this is pure cope, but in a primary context, doing solid everywhere might be better than really good in some places. We'll see.
AND OF COURSE: THIS IS TOO EARLY, THE CAMPAIGN ITSELF WILL DETERMINE MOST OF THE OUTCOME AND I HAVE FULL CONFIDENCE THAT PETE WILL OUTCAMPAIGN THE OTHERS.
