Marker works great don’t use it often

As a first time player, I want to get into a mid level marker or something I can grow into and learn the platform. Gonna be trying out for groups and teams and play competitively, so I would need a marker to keep up with those needs for awhile.

Idiot here needs help. Getting back into the sport, picked up an Emek and my dumb a$$ can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I thread in the tank and it sounds like it engages when about halfway in, but if I turn any more it makes a 'pop' and leaks out of the hole in the bottom of the ASA. This is fully stock, not the new POPS asa.
