Since the most recent upgrade, I discovered a strange HDMI bug.

If I turn on the PS4 Pro without display then connect the display, it fails to display anything. I have to always make sure it is connected to an actively selected display port.

I have my PS4 pro connected to my PC monitor. I have to switch between which port I want to be active to select PC vs PS4. But if I don’t have the PS4 port already selected (or PC output turned off), the PS4 will simply refuse to output anything.

This can only be fixed by rebooting the PS4 which makes it magically start working. Otherwise you keep seeing the dark screen!

...and it was glorious! What other RE type games are out there for the PS4 Pro that people like?

I already gave Tormented Souls a shot and really like it so far.

Any other games that anyone can suggest?

I cleaned and changed the thermal paste in my PS4 Pro in May, making sure there wasn't any dust. The console used to turn off randomly when I started a game or a few minutes after I started playing. It still shuts off even though the console is cold. I think the problem might be the PSU, but I'm not sure. Could somebody tell me what I should do?

Hello, I just installed TLOU2 on my ps4 pro and fans are spinning so loud I can't hear the game at all.

I updated game and console but it did not help. It seems I will need to replace paste and pads. Am i right? Anyone has same problem? Thanks

OK guys, good news. I somehow fixed the disc drive and the overheating issues with thermal paste !!! I guess the rollers for the disc drive were dirty and there was like No thermal paste and the heatsink was dirty but it runs good now !!!

My PS4 Pro has been overheating, so I contacted a technician to fix the issue. However, he quoted me $40 for a full service and another $40 for transportation since he lives very far from me.

I bought a PlayStation 4 pro off of Facebook marketplace. I seen that it turned on and stuff, but I couldn’t test it until I got home but the two front USBs don’t work, the disc drive is able to take disc and read them, but it does it very sketchy it is very loud. I seen that he clean on the top of the fan, but I don’t know if he did the heat sink or replace the thermal paste. and I have to reconnect my my controller when I’m inside a app to be able to interact please playStation 4 Gods help me 🙏

I wanted to get My Ps4 slim serviced and thermal paste replaced as its fan noise is very loud during demanding titles. Any Trusted Ps4 repairing shop who can do live service if possible and must be trusted as ive heard bad experiences of People post repairs.

im playing mafia 3 definitive edition on ps4 pro with the latest version and the x and circle buttons seem to be reversed

in the controls settings it shows x for hiding behind walls but when im actually playing circle is used to hide and x is used to punch

this really messes with the game especially when you have to choose whether to kill someone or recruit them to work for you and make money. sometimes i accidentally kill them because im expecting the x button to do something else when the actual button is circle

it also messed me up when i was trying to save the game. because of the reversed x button i accidentally selected the wrong option and went back to the first mission instead of saving. the game did not autosave after that so i lost my progress

is this happening to anyone else on the latest version? is there a fix for this?

Cabe mencionar que al cerrar estos juegos siempre sale error al querer cerrarlos

i am working on my ps4 pro cuh-7218b and i noticed these pink thermal pads on the motherboard and metal plate. i am not sure what these specific pink pads are for or why they are different in color from other thermal pads

can someone confirm what these pink pads are used for and whether they are thermal pads for the memory or vrm?

i bought arctic tp-3 1mm thermal pads and i am wondering if i can replace the original pink pads with these. is 1mm the correct thickness for these areas or should i use a different thickness?

i just want to make sure before i replace them because i do not want to use the wrong thickness and cause bad contact or pressure on the motherboard

[UPDATE] my ps4 pro is running good now. i played mafia 3 definitive edition and it is running smoothly. back when i first got the stock ps4 pro and it had never been cleaned the fan would sound like a jet engine as soon as mafia 3 loaded and the fps would drop to around 10 fps. it was basically unplayable

now it runs smoothly with no lag. the only problem is that the x and circle buttons seem to be reversed. the controls settings show x for hide but when im actually in the game circle is used to hide behind walls and x is used to punch. it is really confusing

i got annoyed and stopped playing. the game also did not autosave after i replayed it so i just uninstalled it

i'm also a little worried that the ptm 7950 might have shifted or fallen off when i flipped the board over to install it since i had to turn the board upside down. i'm also worried that the thermal pads might have been compressed or pushed out of place when i flipped the board

could this affect the temperature or is it normal for the ps4 pro to still feel hot after replacing the ptm 7950 and thermal pads?

Anyone have ps4 pro or know any shop in srinagar tell me
