I've been working on getting torrent streaming running natively on the PS4, and it's at a point where I'm happy to share it.

It's a fork of [GMCA] by thcolin, the controller-first media client that already does Plex, Jellyfin, Emby and Stremio on PS4. The original can't play Stremio's torrent sources on the console because there's no torrent engine there. This fork adds one: libtorrent runs inside the app, so torrent rows from addons like Torrentio just play. No PC on the network and no debrid account.

**What you get on top of normal GMCA**

- Torrent streaming on the PS4 itself. Short loading screen, then it plays. It doesn't upload anything unless something is playing, and it deletes the data shortly after you stop.
- Faster starts: it keeps its peer list between launches and adds public trackers. Optional UPnP if your router supports it.
- Smoother playback on big releases. Torrents with large pieces used to stall even at 4 MB/s; the player's next pieces now download first.
- HEVC and HDR actually show a picture instead of a blue screen, plus a "Light HEVC decoding" option (on by default) that keeps 1080p HEVC smooth.
- Better source list: sorted by quality and health, live peer count on the highlighted torrent, and you can pick a source for TV episodes.
- Continue Watching synced with your Stremio account, resume for torrents, an audio language setting.
- Downloads with automatic fallback to the next source, plus season downloads.
- Fixes: the PS4 keyboard's X and O were swapped, and the Files tab showed nothing.

**Install**

You need a GoldHEN PS4. Grab the .pkg from the [latest release](https://github.com/amansingh909/gamepad-media-center-aggregator/releases/latest) and install it. If you already have GMCA, it updates it in place and keeps your sign-in. Updates for this build come from my fork.

Honest limits

- 4K is too heavy for the PS4's CPU. Stick to 1080p rows.
- HDR colours look a bit washed out. The PS4 build can't do proper HDR conversion.
- Weak torrents (a handful of peers) will still buffer. Nothing can fix that.
- HTTPS trackers don't work (no TLS on the PS4 build). DHT and the other trackers find plenty.
- Tested on my own console. Some newer bits (episode source picker, downloads from the X menu, the Files tab) passed testing on my PC but haven't had much console time yet.

I've sent the general PS4 fixes (crash, frozen timers and the keyboard fix) upstream to GMCA as well, since they help everyone.

I unplugged my PS4 Pro from the power while it was in rest mode yesterday. Tried powering it on today and it has gone in safe mode. I was running 13.02 with the recent jailbreak.

After following the instructions, I have reinstalled the software again from the PlayStation website and unfortunately it has updated to 14.00 and all my games gone😭

Is there a way I can revert or downgrade to the previous version, because the playstation is useless since I can't use it.

I just jailbroken my PS4 but i don't know the "essentials" to download, like i don't know what to install since in new so i would like to know what stuff should i try or download

hello, recently elysiumnet got gw1 working on ps4 and ps5 with coop but only garden ops and nothing more you dont get character unlocks or seed packets what i wanted to ask is is there some way to get character unlocks and seed packets natively without using the elysium server i asked the creator and he said that hes scared of infringing on copyright which is why he didnt add unlocks or seeds any and all help would be really appreciated

I have the license unlocked but the actual maps aren’t present does anyone have the map pkgs ?

I am thinking about jailbreaking my 12.52 PS4 (I dont use it anymore and i was hoping this could revive it) but I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone could answer.

1- Do I loose my already installed games (my accounts games) or progression?

2- How does installing games on a jailbroken ps4 actually work? Im guessing you cant just enter the store and install anything you want.

3- Can I at any time if I decide to update the console and 'stop' the jailbreak do so? Or would my ps4 become unusable or something by doing so.
