Been trying to solve this problem shown in the video for a couple of months now, but unfortunately have yet to find an actual definitive answer online, which led me to completely abandoning LML modding and rather stick with lightweight .asi files for RDR2 modding, completely solving any performance issues i've ever had with LML
Problem is; the game still has a massive VRAM leaking problem that will lead to an inevitable game crash (unless you reboot once every few hours), and to fix this issue you need to download an LML mod called "spawns fix issue", but, you guessed it, to use LML means to bring in horrible performance to your game, as seen above (it genuinely never gets better, no matter how little mods you have, I've had it stutter exactly like this even after emptying my mod folder)
"What about using DX12 or disabling REBAR? I heard that fixes the VRAM leak since its only Vulkan that's affected" using either of these will cause massive stuttering that cannot even get fixed via mods, and most mods don't work if you're not using Vulkan, lost cause, tried.
So you either: get an inevitable VRAM leak because you cannot use the mods that fix it without your game running like shit
Or:
You take the hit and just accept that your game will crash without your knowledge unless you constantly pay attention to your VRAM via a performance monitoring tool
Somewhere, out there, i know there's a reasonable explanation as to why these LML stutters occur, but i have genuinely looked EVERYWHERE and have yet to find anybody providing actual footage of their stutters getting fixed outside of mere comments here and there, i'm starting to think everybody still stutters, but they can't even see it
And if anybody says "well your game maybe runs bad in general", here is a short gameplay clip of me tearing shit up in St. Denis on Ultra graphics and lightweight .asi scriptmods only
Sorry for the rant, i love this game, and have played the shit out of it on console, but i cannot fathom why modding it comes with such horrible caveats that nobody has bothered to try fixing over at LML, the last update was in 2023, and nothing since.
