Success Stories Little happy ozempic story

Hi all, I am just posting this for all of the people who just like me come on to this sub looking for some kind of motivation or reason to keep going. I am 26, and started ozempic 22 months ago now. I have PCOS, and felt like a balloon growing out of control and I couldn't stop it. I was so against starting this medicine, so embarrassed and ashamed and worried and genuinely believed I was too far gone for anything to ever help me.

I was so wrong, and it has absolutely changed my life.
The weight loss has been slow, My symptoms were horrible, and I'm pretty sure I had the worst of them- vomiting daily, heartburn, diahorrea and constipation at the same time which I didn't even know was possible. It was brutal for the first three months, but I learned so much through this. Although the symptoms were tough, it was nothing compared to what my mind and were dealing with before this medicine.

I lost weight for the first time in my life. I have a regular 28 day cycle, which is insane for me. My mind is so clear, I still struggle with food but I feel so much more in control.

Almost 2 years on the medicine now and I no longer think of it every day. I have no idea how much weight I’ve lost or what I weigh now, I just inject it on a Friday evening and my life moves on. It’s a kind of peace that I could’ve never imagine two years ago.

I just wanted to post this for anyone struggling at the moment. This is not an easy medication to be taking, it is a tough journey but it is one l am so grateful to be on.
I've learned my weight was never my fault, it was that of a medical condition I couldn't control. I still have hard days on it, and wish I never needed it at all, but I also can't believe I get to live this life now. It's a strange feeling... and I'm not sure what the future for me and ozempic looks like, but right now l am just so grateful.

I would love to hear how you're getting on with it ❤️

Question 1mg - TASTE BUDS

I’m finding that my enjoyment of food has basically disappeared since being on Ozempic. My taste buds seem to have changed, and foods I used to love just don’t appeal to me anymore. I’ve also noticed I’m gravitating much more toward liquids, especially soups and smoothies, which seem to be the only things I really enjoy lately.

My appetite is practically nonexistent, and even when I do eat something I know I normally love, it just tastes… blah.

I don’t love this side of Ozempic. I miss actually enjoying food!

I’m currently on week 2 of 1 mg and curious if anyone else has experienced this? Does the enjoyment of food eventually come back?

Question Increase in RHR and nervous about increasing dose

For anyone who has experienced an increase in your RHR from Ozempic, did it increase even higher with dosage increases?

For context my RHR has always been on the higher side in the low 80s but since I started on .25 it has increased to 89 bpm, even while I’m sleeping. I know this is a known side effect but I’m supposed to increase to .5 and am worried that it will make it go even higher.

What has everyone elses experiences been like with this?

Question That achy empty feeling on injection day?

F 27, SW 190lbs, CW 156lbs.

Does anyone else get a strange feeling in their stomach the day of injection? Not necessarily pain or nausea but kinda a gurgling achy feeling.

I feel it a similar feeling to waking up with an empty stomach and having that first drink of water hit your stomach but it’s a constant all day/couple day thing.

I’m not really complaining or looking for remedies, I’ve actually come to enjoy the feeling as my brain seems to recognize it as the drug “working” lol.

Anyone else have the same feelings on injection day?

Question Lost Coverage: Advice?

After being reassured again and again that this wouldn't happen, I've lost the coverage for Ozempic because - shocker! - I lost weight. I'm no longer at a BMI of 40, so they stopped covering it, and I can't pay $400/mo out of pocket for it. I'm beyond frustrated and heart-broken. It was truly a life changing drug.

Question: I still have 2 1mg doses left. Do you think it would be a good idea to drop down to a .5 for a few more weeks to see if it stretches out the food noise quieting? I'd love to hear from anyone that moved down - I know the food noise is going to come roaring back. Thanks!

Question Can I click-dose a 1 mg Ozempic pen?

I was prescribed the Ozempic 1 mg pen, but this was a provider error. I've been off GLP-1 medications for almost a year, weigh 280 lbs, and have taken compounded semaglutide in the past with only slight nausea. I also previously took Mounjaro up to 10 mg, with some constipation and temporary nausea at 5 mg that went away and didn't require any antiemetics.

My provider knows about the mistake and will correct my dose on my next fill, but insurance will not cover another pen this month, and I don't want the medication to go to waste.

My provider prescribed it for OSA. She's not very familiar with GLP-1 dosing, but pulmonary was the best route for approval because insurance told me the PA needed to come from that office rather than my PCP.

For those familiar with this specific pen:

  1. Is there a safe way to get smaller doses from the 1 mg pen by counting clicks? If so, how many clicks would correspond to 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg? Or, given my previous experience with GLP-1 medications, would starting at 1 mg be reasonable after being off them for almost a year?

I know the standard recommendation is to titrate gradually. However, if there is a safe way to click dose a 1 mg pen, I would weekly titrate up to 1 mg. When I took GLP medications in the past I responded very well to dose increases. I'm looking for practical advice from people familiar with this particular pen and situation.

**Also, I am aware that I should talk to a medical provider. However, I already have and none of them know what to do in this situation. The only solutions given were to let 1 month of my 6-month PA go to waste since I already accidentally clicked it once, click dose the pen, or just inject the 1 mg. I know I cannot be the only person who has started right at 1 mg.

On week 3 of .25mg dose.

My scales says I’ve lost a stone!!
I do see and feel the difference but a stone!!

Has anybody stayed on .25mg for an additional month?
I want a slow weight loss and don’t want to rush it.

Also week 3 is not my friend!
Had my jab on Tuesday.
Yesterday, Wednesday, I was so tired my energy was zapped and I was hungry but not hungry if that makes sense!?
Today, Thursday, Apologies in advance, Im pooping alot!
Anyone know why this might be or is it simply ozempic doing its thing?

Question Ozampic with antidepressants and antipsychotics

31F I started my ozampic journey because of my mental health medications made me gain a lot of weight in less than a year, I was 54Kg in August 2025 - at the 2026 June 83kg.

The medications I was on ( quetiapine - Citalopram - Amitriptyline
Lexapro ) for the first month I gained so much weight and my appetite was normal days to I want to eat the full amount of any food exist .. at some point the doctor changed the medication for me because of huge weight gain. now I’m no ( citalopram Zolpidem and Amitriptyline ) and lower dose.

I start my first Ozampic pen two months ago.. I only lost 1kg on 0.25 dose, I didn’t have any side effects like anything for the month on Ozampic my appetite was less than the usual .. other than that nothing I was fully fine, so my family told me to give up on it because Ozampic will never work for me .
Is that true ?
So my question is, I didn’t lose weight as the normal amount the others lose because of my medications ????
I mean some lost over 7kg and for me only 1 if I increase the dose to 0.5 it will work right ?

I apologising for my bad English grammar

Question Microdose side effects

I was prescribed 0.125 to start for the first 8 weeks at least, with a reassessment at the 8 week mark. The reason for the low dose is that I am in the overweight BMI rather than "obese' but my body is so stubborn with postpartum, peri menopause, hormonal changes, etc over the years that it will not lose the pounds that have stuck on after my first baby (gained 40 pounds that I never lost). Throw in fatty liver and PCOS and the doctor thinks microdosing may help move those pounds and get back to a healthier place.

I just received my meds today and of course I'm nervous about side effects. Has anyone started with this low of a dose and what were your side effects? I know everyone is different, I'm just looking for your experiences. Also how much did you lose microdosing?

Question Canada: What multivitamin are we taking?

Hi all, I just increase to the 1 mg Ozempic and would like to start taking a multivitamin to ensure my hair does not fall out (I have a very long hair that took me years to grow, I’m terrified).

What are you guys taking and happy with?
