IIRC, Dana said she was open to doing more novel's in the future if the recent one ended up being successful. I'd love to see a book all about the origins of The Collector and the Archivists. How they were born from the stars, them meeting the Titans, the Archivists wiping out the Titans, The Collector being sealed and maybe finally ending with The Collector meeting Belos. The Collector's such an interesting character despite only being in the 2nd half of the show and originally not even meant to be a part of the series, he genuinely just has so much interesting potential.

They all have a type of code to decipher. In the case of Gravity Falls, there are symbols to decipher into other pieces of writing in Journal 3. In the case of Amphibia, there are also symbols to decipher into other pieces of writing in Marcy Wu’s Journal. And, in the case of The Owl House, there is the code of how certain types of Glyphs come together to produce the magical effect they do in The Owl House TV Series.

With how horribly The Collector's siblings treated him, its so cool how Luz gets to serve as the older sibling he never had. She didn't hesitate for a second to sacrifice herself to save him and reassure him he did the right thing trying to redeem Belos. I loved seeing her comfort him even when her memories were gone. And can we talk about the HUG they share in the final panel? So adorable!

One complaint I often saw about the finale that made sense was "why teach The Collector about death only to revive Luz moments later". But it makes sense when you consider the lesson was primarily teaching HIM not to treat humans so carelessly because HE can't just revive them (which he likely thought from watching Belos with the Grimwalkers). Which is why the Titan reviving Luz works.

So I love in the novel we see him also grappling with the fact he's going to outlive everyone else, even King. It highlights how yes the lesson did indeed reach through to him and he understands the true nature of death now. I really liked Luz's speech to him and how she reassured him despite having amnesia at the moment and his final talk with King.

Pls protect these little beans at all costs and don't let anything bad happen to them 💔
