Discussion Codex is so slow (Sol 6.1)

At this point we don't even need resets, because we can't use the quote at all.

I don't even care about that - I just want it to shut the fuck up and do stuff, and stop building guardrails for bullshit I don't care about.

It took twelve. Hours. To migrate 4 small apps from my laptop to my server the other day - just obsessing over data consistency for no reason.

I'd be fine if it was just slow, but slow and fucking around is getting really old.

Yeah I am seeing a lot of this too. I wanted it to add a feature to enroll a second PC to my private Mcp server and it spent hours pointlessly dealing with race conditions and incomplete transfer scenarios and shit like that... It's like bro. Let's start with the happy path so I can see if that part even works before you spend half the day on obscure bullshit that probably won't ever matter in my LAN lol

Sounds right. Shit does not have to be scalable all the time.

I miss gpt-5-pro 300 line poc apps, that was peak lol. Shit worked the first time.

I think demand is outstripping supply at the moment. That means it will some combination of unreliable, slow and expensive. Of those options, I prefer slow.

Ci ha 35 fottuti minuti per scrivere un cazzo di documento a me... Opus 7 Minuti. È assurdo. Assurdo. Una merda inutilizzabile.

Dude, slow is good.

Fast is bullshit responses and errors.
