I could get this book for 101€ but i dont know if its worth it, i once spend 99€ on the german third omnibus of ennis punisher and that hurt a little bit , so i dont know about this one

I saw the hardcover editions of Batman by doug moench and kelley jones but have also seen an upcoming omnibus for Doug moench....I also discovered Batman elseworlds vol 1 that has Batman Dracula...im having trouble mapping out what to buy without double dipping

to this day, I still can’t believe I got to meet Chris Claremont in person at NYCC. The GOAT of the X-Men, who spent 17 years writing peak superhero comics and showing the world the real meaning of inclusion and diversity 🫂❌

Yesterday I picked up Batman vol. 1 and 2 omnibus my first official ones. Grendel one was first, but this seems more legit to me. I hope the other trades in the picture aren't breaking any rules in this sub. Thanks for checking it out.

Just wanted to show off what arrived today: the Ram V Omnibus featuring Evan Cagle’s cover for Detective Comics #1062. I just love that look…

I can live with the weird double print if i have to but wasn’t sure if marvel/disney had set up some sort of replacement program.

More of a rant. Cheap graphic novels is emailing customers that have already preordered the absolute wonder woman deluxe saying that they either have to pay more or cancel for store credit.

I think this is so stupid. I see this as them not honoring the price that we agreed on. If you cant guarantee the price, then why allow preorders?

Edit: I do agree with what a lot of you have said, blame DC for the change and I agree, 100%. But I also feel that if I agreed to pay 1 price, I will pay that 1 price. I was not aware of the stipulation of the price not being guaranteed. But I thought that was the whole point of preordering?

Decided to go for a Snyder vol. 1 with no slipcover cause I could grab it for 50 and now after having it for a few days I wish I hadn’t 😂

The spine on the Snyder’s look so sleek and crisp on a shelf and I wish I had gotten the better one.

As title states I’m lookin for suggestions on best omnibus options for nightwing and def want some of his classic cake shown off

How is gutter loss a thing in 2026?!? Haven't we, as a modern civilization, had enough experience with printing hardcover books yet? Do printers and publishers really not know how to avoid this?

My goal was to fill this shelf by the end of the year, I have been getting about 1-2 per month. I have space for 1 more before I’m out of space, any suggestions to fill the last slot?

Seems that the wave of cancellations hit me today via DCBS. I originally preordered it under the original MSRP marked down to $25.99. It was already steep at that price for 12 issues. But if it’s resolicited at a higher price, I’m out. How do you feel about it?

Yesterday, I finished DC Finest: Killing Joke, which I started last week while on vacation, and I finished the Knightquest omnibus. I only had part of "The Search" left to read on that one. Today, I'm starting Knightsend. The only part of this story that I haven't read yet is "Troika." After I finish this, I'm gonna read Ghost Rider 2099.

I owned a trade paperback copy of Watchmen that has been worn out and read front to back. I'm thinking of buying a DC Absolute next, and one of the options is the Absolute Edition.

Is the upgrade worth it to you guys, even though there is no difference in contents between the two versions?

Acquired my first omnibus this week and was thrilled it arrived safely! Thing is huge lol! Already got vol 2 ordered will try to fund vol 3 in the next month or two

Upon previous suggestions, there will now be a biweekly thread on Tuesday & Thursday for general discussion.

With these threads, you can ask basic questions like what books to buy, reading orders, or expectations when ordering from a certain site. You can also share your hauls, collections, or anything else related to the hobby.

These related posts can still be their own, but this provides another option to those for general discussion purposes.

- What books did you buy this week?

- What books did you read this week?

- What books are you considering buying or reading?

- What is your current shelf like and how do you decide on ordering them (ex: A-Z)?

- Do you have any questions regarding retailers from a customer experience?

- Do you have any questions regarding book maintenance or shelving?

I was originally thinking of getting the Batman the Bronze Age omnibus vol 1 but now that I've seen a few overviews and posts about it, im starting to wonder if maybe I should go the Absolute route. One thing pushing me in that direction is that it will probably give me more shelf space for other books over the CHONKY omnibus. However at the end of the day I care about stories. So the real question I have for yall who are familiar with the content, is it worth skipping the non Neal Adams stories to just get the Absolute? Or would I be missing some bangers by going that route? I know Neal Adams was the highlight of that era, but we're there any non Adams stories that are worth it to just stick with the omnibus?

For something so T H I C C I was expecting it to be a lot heavier

i don’t think that’s what it’s called

Hopefully it gives a small insight into each collected edition.

Natural/ambient lighting was used but due to gutter loss it’s harder to capture the omni’s early pages, whereas the absolute lays over beautifully.

In order:
1. Absolute / Omni
2. Absolute
3. Omni
4. Absolute / Omni
5. Absolute
6. Omni
7. Absolute
8. Omni
