Got scammed and locked up
I recently started trading and usually sells USDT for Omr
And before 2 days i was roaming with my friend and suddenly a car started flashing and stopped my car ask for my id and after he saw my Id he said there is warrant under your name and i was quite confused that why someone will complain against me. Then the cid guy took
Me to ROP and then i get to know that before 2 months some lady sends me 400 and i scammed her through instagram and all that and when i checked on my phone I received 200omr in reality and i released the usdt that is 511 usdt through binance P2P so she lied because i always double checks that no third party payment is involved and the name from which i received 200 is exact same as the name of binance and the guys who works in binance they know that its a regulated exchanges with KYC (id scan, liveness check, facial verification) email etc
Yet the problem was i got a msg from ROP and i asked my friends and my family about that msg and everyone told me its fine maybe its a mistake why someone will complain against you and because of that women i have to spend a night in Lockup and then when she came my brother gave her 400 and she said i usally calls her and tells her that i will give u job but never gives job etc but i dont even had her number and i never texted her. So tell me should i strike back and complain to ROP and go for a case ?
I dont want her to go away with this cause if i do she will scam someone else again

You probably shouldn't have ignored that ROP SMS just because everyone said its fake lol. Anyway thats the least of your problems... In the eyes of ROP you're potentially involved in money laundering, aend Binance KYC means very little here since Binance isnt registered in Oman under the local VASP framework. (i use binanc so we check often too) any ways..she filed a complaint, money entered your account and you released USDT (full or half). Thats what they'll investigate..
so your best bet is to gather all your bank statements binance transactions and chats, and get a lawyer in worst case scenario. These P2P scams aren't new in Oman and you might genuinely be innocent but saying she scammed you isn't enough. And judging by how you explained everything here, good luck explaining it to ROP bro .

Brother in Oman binance is not illegal. I never take third party payment and yes i have ever prove that i released the usdt i have receipt and SS of that order + i have talked with binance support that if she denies what can i do the CS gave me a link and told any Omani official can login and check the details but i hope only that the government will understand the issue and its not about money its about respect and my character certificate + mentality trauma which i faced. When its not my mistake still im in lockup it hurts alot!!

First of all, please be coherent. We cannot understand what you are writing here. Write in Arabic if English is not your first language.

Which part you don’t understand brother?

He didn't use proper grammar or punctuation marks. It's all jumbled. For a non English speaker, it will be hard to understand what he's trying to convey.

Mate...this would be confusing for a native English speaker too.
From the first half of this post, it seems like he's admitting having scammed the lady.

If you have valid proof you should strike back

In the eyes of the authorities you re trading without a license in Oman, Which is regulated by MOCIIP and the FSA. You can also be accused of money laundering which would involve the CBO, and IIS. The only thing I would do if I were you is to ask a good lawyer for an opnion on if your activities are ilegal.

What a crazy situation to be in. Please clarify, did you provide proof that you transferred the usdt ??

She needs to show proof of you scamming her through instagram first of all. What proof did she provide the police that you received 400 OMR when you mentioned that you received 200 OMR. You need to strike back obviously, and provide proof of transactions. It may be a long process but its worth if you know you're legit.

That’s pretty common in UAE, people send money via bank and then complain , getting the accounts freeze and similar case. in fact binance has additional verifications in UAE for safe P2P transactions.

From what I understand, you fell victim to a telegram scam. You were doing the omr to usdt task in exchange for some commission, weren't you? Please be clear and honest with all of us here.
Not blaming you, but I personally know someone who fell for the same issue. So just tell the truth to all of us.
No use going to the lawyer now, it will cost you in 1000s. Also since you paid her back, it shows that you accept taking that money that's why you paid it back. Sorry you had to go through this

No you are wrong i wasn’t fell for any TELEGRAM scam
And I’m honest about everything here and i don’t care about the money ill pay to my lawyer cause i want justice and you asking me why i paid 400omr because my dear friend freedom have no price. So i pay 400 for my freedom, I can’t afford to stay in jail for one other day and then ask the public prosecutor to give me bail.
That lady actually played well and i checked the person who sent me money and the name on binance was the same. So it means the lady was lying if you know about centralized and regulated exchanges rules about verification then you cant say this1

You paid her the money. Now in the rop records it will show that you accept taking it. Or else why would you return it. I am sorry for being so harsh but this is how it will be in front of them. You don't need public prosecutor for bail. You just need any Omani, mostly your sponsor, to give his guarantee to the rop and they will let you out. I have dealt with all of this personally for someone. So I know a lot about it. Also, the lawyers start with 500 for such cases. That's a START only. Then according to scenario they will charge more. And it will go on for months, but mostly it will not end in your favor because you returned the money and that will be the highlight point she will make and the rop records will show.
