I made an 11-minute reconstruction of yesterday's Corendon XR456 (737-800, 9H-CXD, Corfu → Nuremberg), built around the public ADS-B data. Five feeder networks agree on this:
- The code: 7500 came on at about 08:12 UTC, still climbing at around 8,000 ft between Othonoi and Ereikoussa, about 7 minutes after take-off. It was gone by about 08:27 UTC off Brindisi.
- The location: that's roughly 10 minutes before Croatian-controlled airspace, so not "over Croatia" as first reported.
- IDENT: the SPI flag lit at least five times while 7500 showed, and never before or after.
- After the code went off: Croatia's defence minister says a Croatian Rafale intercepted over Lika. Two Luftwaffe Eurofighters from Neuburg escorted it into Nuremberg, which stopped all movements. Police checked the aircraft on a remote stand and found no danger.
- The explanations: Corendon blames a brief radio-communication fault; police called the code inadvertent. As of this morning no investigator (BFU, Malta) has announced an inquiry.
