I enjoy watching Halloween episodes of my favorite shows during October.

Last night I re-watched Night Court - Halloween, Too which aired on Halloween night 1985.

The main plot of the episode is that Harry quickly falls in love with a woman named Kim, but has to break up with her because she is supposedly a witch. Why would Kim being a witch have any impact on their relationship? I was a kid in 1985 and remember the "satanic panic" nonsense of the era. However, what's wrong with two consulting adults having a romantic relationship regardless of what the public may think? Why would Harry jeopardize his career over his girlfriend's personal beliefs and abilities? Every time I watch this episode, I say to myself "Kim's a witch, who cares, so what?!?". For the most part, society seems to be more open minded these days...

I didn't get to watch much TV after my teens, so now in my later years, I am watching old shows on the streaming apps. Night Court (original), which I have always heard about, is free on Prime right now so I thought I would give it a try.

I'm in season three now and not sure I'm how much more I want to watch (and slept through a good bit of it LOL). It's somewhat cute and endearing and the character mix is not bad, tho the cast seems to change out a bit. The heartfelt scenes are sometimes really long and slow. The sexism is blatant. So interesting to see that this was normal in the 80s. Not just John Laroque but also Harry and of course the way the prostitutes and female characters are portrayed.

Also when John Laroque is always cheating the ethnic child shoeshine boys, everyone seems to think that's ok. When he first did it, i thought for sure the judge would get on him and exact quirky justice when he found out, but nope. Just bemused smiles.

But setting that aside, to me it's just not that funny or compelling. No laugh out loud moments, or very few. Not much character development. I recently watched Colombo. What a great show! Including the amazing cameos. Here I've seen a few (michael J fox, Seinfeld's parents and Kramer, the my favorite martian guy).

Meh. Thoughts? I'd really love to hear what people find funny. I do get the endearing qualities, but somehow not funny to me. For example, Bull is an adorable character, but I don't find his funny stuff that funny. Maybe just me.

THE PARASITE FILES — THROWBACK EDITION part 1 🪳✈️
So apparently, if The Parasite wasn’t scheduled as a lead or supervisor, suddenly the attendance gods would receive another sacrifice because… call-out season. 😭 Because why simply come to work when the title isn’t giving “management”?
And please, before we even get into the airline chaos, somebody open a window. The tea breath? Allegedly lethal. Imagine hot tea, an empty stomach, and the spiritual essence of a sewer system joining forces at 6 AM. She would be standing there doing the innocent little “I hate confrontation 🥺” act while passengers were allegedly backing away like the oxygen masks had already dropped.
Miss Angelic. Miss Peace & Love. Miss “I don’t like drama.”
Meanwhile, drama had already clocked in.
Then came last year’s plot twist: somehow, someway, Mr. Parasite entered the workplace as an agent.
And baby… allegedly, the learning curve was shaped like a roller coaster.
Bag tags? Optional apparently.
So if your suitcase went on its own international vacation while you landed somewhere completely different, there was allegedly a chance Mr. Parasite had touched that reservation. 💀
Boarding passes? A creative writing assignment.
Seats? Family of four traveling together?
Why sit them together when you can scatter them throughout the aircraft like an Easter egg hunt?
Mom in 12A.
Dad in 31F.
Little Timmy somewhere over the wing.
Grandma basically flying cargo.
And then everybody at the gate has to solve a puzzle that could’ve allegedly been handled at check-in.
But the SPEED was my favorite part.
Two passengers.
Just two.
Not a sports team.
Not a wedding party.
Not 19 people with 47 bags.
A COUPLE.
And allegedly 20–30 minutes later, they were still standing there like they were applying for citizenship at the counter. 😭
Print.
Stare at screen.
Print again.
Wrong boarding pass.
More staring.
Some clicking.
Maybe a prayer.
Another boarding pass.
Meanwhile the line behind them has aged three business years.
And while all of this alleged aviation excellence was taking place, somehow there was still time for TikToks.
Because apparently when the bags are missing, the boarding passes are questionable, the seats are scattered, and the line is wrapped around the terminal…
THE CONTENT MUST GO ON. 📱💃
Nothing says “professional aviation operation” quite like:
Passenger: “Excuse me, where is my suitcase?”
Mr. Parasite: “One second, we’re doing another take.”
Allegedly, of course. 😂
And that, ladies and gentlemen, was one chapter in the historic saga of The Parasite & Mr. Parasite: where the innocent act was strong, the check-in process was long, and your luggage may or may not have been participating in its own side quest.
To be continued… because unfortunately, the Parasite Archives are DEEP. 🪳📚

This the epiosd3 when he falls for a prostitute and she wears the dress Bull gave her and gave a monologue why she does not why she is loved

Scenes like this make Night Court a unique show

I saw this while searching ebay for memorabilia from the show, I'm debating purchasing, do you think the buy now is reasonable?

https://ebay.io/m/en3eRb for reference.

Thanks in advance.

What do you suppose would happen in it? Would they show the auditions for it, the first taping of the show, Selma's death and then Flo's death? Richard becoming increasingly frustrated on the show and not speaking to Harry and John?

What do you think?

hello, I'm wondering if someone can help identify an episode. I remember a scene where Roz is telling Christine a story about a young girl who was bullied by a gang of girls "until one day she decided to fight back." Christine then compliments Roz on standing up to the bullies, to which Roz responds with something like, "I was in the gang"

Harry Anderson, Markie Post and Marsha Warfield.

Has there ever been a lunchbox or a thermos for “Night Court”? Featuring the cast on it? Some TV shows back in the 80s did have lunchboxes, so I was curious if there was ever one for “Night Court”?
