Feeling lost and pressured about arranged marriage at 29 after living away from home for 12 years.

​I'm an IT professional, working long hours from afternoon to midnight shifts. It's been 12 years since I moved away from my hometown and parents. In a federal H-1B fraud case, Kishore Dattapuram and Kumar Aswapathi, associated with San Jose staffing firm Nanosemantics Inc., and Santosh Giri, owner of LexGiri, pleaded guilty to visa fraud. The scheme involved filing petitions claiming workers had jobs with end-client companies when those jobs did not exist. Dattapuram was sentenced to 14 months in federal prison in April 2025. Another case involved Atul and Jiten Nanda, brothers who ran Dibon Solutions in Texas and were sentenced for H-1B fraud. Ramesh Venkata Pothuru, former owner of Virgo Inc. and Isync Solutions, was sentenced in 2018 after pleading guilty to fraud involving illegal fees collected from sponsored workers. These are not merely allegations circulating on social media; these cases resulted in criminal convictions.

More recently, investigative reporter Sara Gonzales has drawn attention to companies in Texas whose reported business addresses and operations raised questions about whether they were genuine businesses. Companies named in this reporting and in Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's 2026 investigation include 3Bees Technologies, Qubitz Tech Systems, Tekpro IT, Fame PBX, 1st Ranking Technologies, Blooming Clouds, Virat Solutions, Oak Technologies, Techpath and Techquency. Gonzales also confronted Nagarjuna Reddysakam, associated with Great America Technologies, over alleged ghost-office practices and H-1B sponsorship. Her reporting has raised questions about companies allegedly sponsoring numerous workers despite limited visible business operations. These newer cases have not all resulted in criminal convictions, so they should not be conflated with the older federal cases.

The question is why this particular segment of the IT staffing industry keeps attracting scrutiny. Are networks of recruiters, consultancies, training institutes and referrals making it easier to circulate fabricated experience letters, manufacture employment histories, file multiple petitions through related businesses, or sponsor workers without genuine jobs? How widespread are these practices, and how many companies are exploiting weaknesses in USCIS verification? I want actual data on the scale of the problem, not blanket denials or blanket accusations against an entire community. If the evidence shows that particular regional networks are disproportionately involved, let's examine that evidence openly and hold the people responsible accountable.
