There wasn’t much to celebrate in the Coventry game, but I was glad to see Sven Botman get on the scoresheet. He can offer Newcastle a lot at both ends of the pitch, especially when the team needs someone to step up during difficult moments. Getting him back to his best could be a big boost, and the defence needs to build more consistency around him.

The Tyne-Wear derby is coming to St James' Park, with our U21s set to face Sunderland on Monday, 26th October at 7 PM BST. The game was originally scheduled for Whitley Park but has now been moved to SJP, which makes it even more exciting. It's a great opportunity to get down to the ground and show some support for the next generation of Newcastle players. Tickets are just £5 for adults and £2 for juniors, while season ticket holders get in for free. It's a derby, so the lads will know how much this one means. Hopefully we can get a good crowd in, make some noise and see the young Mags get one over Sunderland.

Sven Botman's strike. One of the hardest EPL strikes we have tracked (from outside the box) this season. Averaging at 116 km/h (peak estimated around 135 km/h). What a hit!

Two consecutive 4-1 away defeats is hard to ignore. What frustrates me most is how easily we lose control of games, waste chances and make costly mistakes at the back. I’m not calling for Jaissle to go, but he needs to find the right midfield balance and give this team a clearer identity. Saturday at St James’ Park is a big chance to respond.

What the hell was that performance? We had 65% possession and 20 shots, yet somehow ended up losing 4-1 to Coventry. We looked all over the place defensively and couldn't do anything with the ball going forward. That early penalty didn't help, but there's no excuse for the way we played after that. How can we look so clueless away from home? Something seriously needs to change.

Can you name the starting XI?

On 13 October 2001 at the Reebok Stadium, Bobby Robson's Newcastle put four past Sam Allardyce's Bolton, and an outfielder goes in goal.

Jussi Jääskeläinen keeps the Magpies at bay with two one-on-one saves before the break, but in the forty-first minute a left-wing cross is headed back across goal and finished from close range amid furious offside appeals. Mike Riley waves play on; Allardyce fumes.

On the hour Jääskeläinen handles outside his area and sees red. With Steve Banks injured and no keeper on the bench, outfield man Bo Hansen pulls on the gloves but his first touch is fishing a free-kick out of the net.

A trademark header from a whipped cross makes it three; the captain then tees up a late fourth to complete the rout. Hansen lasts half an hour between the posts.

76% possession and we're still 1-0 down to Coventry after conceding that early penalty. We're moving the ball around constantly but there's barely any threat going forward. It feels like we're just passing from side to side around their box without really testing their defence. We need to be quicker, take a few risks and actually get some shots away instead of trying to pass our way into the net. There's still time to turn this around, but we need to show a lot more urgency in the second half. How are you lot feeling about this one?

Coventry away is going to be a tough test, but we've got the quality to get a result here. We need to start well, keep things tight at the back and not give them too much space to play. With Elanga out, others will need to step up, and hopefully we can make the most of our chances going forward. Three points would be a great way to keep things moving in the right direction.

I'm a U.S. fan who has never been to a PL match, so I was going to use an upcoming trip to France to catch the match against Palace. Unfortunately, when I bought the tickets the match was on Oct. 24, but has since been moved to Oct. 25 when I have to be in Paris.

I need to re-sell the tickets but the Gigsberg platform where I bought them doesn't allow me to relist them. Does anyone know how I can sell them? I'm also not familiar with the unwritten rules about which fans can sit where.

As we sit behind two promoted teams and getting battered 4-1 by the third one.

Jaissle said he expects more internationals to join up tommorrow. Good to see so many first team players out training and not on the physio table.

What a performance from the lasses yesterday. A 3-0 win away at Durham in the North East derby, with Antonsdóttir opening the scoring before Nobbs and Thomas put the game to bed in the second half. Lumsden was causing problems all afternoon too, and Tamminen made some big saves to keep the clean sheet. Five wins from five in WSL2 now. The perfect start just keeps going.
