Discussion is Stearns cursing himself?
seeing how he abandoned the Brewers to come to the Mets, I guess he has 50 million reasons why he is glad he came if you think money is everything, I seriously wonder if he is rooting for or against the Brewers considering this is essentially his team

I'm sure he's happy for all the people he used to work with that are still there.
I'm sure he'd be much happier if his current team didn't suck.

"considering this is essentially his team"
There are 6 Brewers on this team that were on David Stearns last Brewers team. A few more might have been in the minors but this is definitely not "his team."

He’s a lifelong Mets fan making a huge salary and watching the team he spent years building succeed. I imagine he’s happier than you imagine. He doesn’t build an organization overnight. Brewers are his proof of concept.

You can tell he's a lifelong Mets fan cause he builds rosters like Steve Phillips, Jim Duquette & Omar Minaya joke

Obviously he is not behind this current brewers team, given he is completely inept, from his general baseball philosophy to his player acquisitions to his coaching hires.

He acquired and developed a good chunk of the current Brewers roster. You can criticize what he’s done with the Mets without being weird about it.

Now let’s talk about the chunk of players he acquired and developed on the failed 2026 Mets.

Stearns hasn’t been making decisions for the Brewers in a GM capacity since 2022. Also he couldn’t even get Peralta to play well here. The Brewers don’t need Stearns. There’s clearly stuff the Mets organization lacks that the Brewers organization has.

Matt Arnold is increasingly looked at as "the guy" who brought about the current Brewers success

yea team chemistry, that is why the Mets are awful cuz they are a bunch of free agents who probably couldn't care less about winning and they all resent each other, seeing teams like the Rays Guardians and Brewers who have a strong home grown core is how you usually build team chemistry

Peralta and Polanco had great chemistry with the clubhouse. The problem is they suck
