Workshop upgrade - questions

I got to lvl 5 workshop and im now supposed to upgrade it but i need ssome materials that you can get only from other proffesions.

Should i buy them from the action house or is this some sort of paywall?

Thank you,

IIRC you are supposed to work on getting more workers and all that and gather and make everything you need. You can get everything you need from going this route but it takes much, much longer than just buying stuff from the AH.

You will get more people applying to work. You go into that little office and there will be new applicants pretty regularly as you grow. You can also buy them on the AH but it's RNG which ones you get but if you are in a pinch sometimes it's worth it. It's supposed to be a long process you do over time.

Here is an older wiki page on PROFESSIONS that still answers some of the basic questions:

https://neverwinter.fandom.com/wiki/Profession

And.. here is my newest favorite guide:

Note that you only need one item from the list the quest gives you, so even with only one profession available to you, you will still be able to make whichever item comes from that profession and continue.

Yes, you just need 1 from the list, but it may need be more than 1 of the item. (For example l, you may need 8x natron.) Should be pretty cheap to buy on the AH. Or if you donโ€™t have any astral diamonds you could beg in PE zone chat ๐Ÿ˜

Once you get 3 or 4 professions to max level you will be able to produce some master crafted items. Which can bring in some ad through the auction house.
