Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice from experienced investors and traders regarding CHCL (Chilime Hydropower Company Limited).
As far as I understand, CHCL has been affected by the Rasuwa floods. I’m wondering how long it might take for the stock to recover and whether there are any reasonable estimates for its recovery timeline.
Here are my current details:
- WACC: NPR 467
- Current market price: NPR 328
- Loss: Approximately 30% of my average cost
- Trading experience: I started learning basic trading in May 2026.
I realize I should have evaluated my position earlier, but now I’m trying to make a sensible decision rather than letting my emotions take over.
I have a few questions for experienced investors:
- By which year could CHCL potentially recover, considering the damage caused by the Rasuwa floods?
- Is there any realistic estimate of when the stock might return to the NPR 400–467 range?
- At what price would it make sense to exit my position? Should I sell at the current market price, wait for a potential recovery, or consider selling if it reaches a particular level?
- What factors should I monitor to judge whether CHCL has genuine recovery potential?
I understand that nobody can predict the market with certainty, and I’m not expecting guaranteed returns. I’d really appreciate advice based on fundamentals, technical analysis, and the company's actual situation.
Since I’m a beginner, please share your reasoning and help me understand how to make a better decision instead of simply telling me to hold or sell.
Thanks in advance!
