The rise of cafe and clothing store startup culture in Nepal
Recently, I'm seeing young people opening cafes and clothing stores everywhere, especially Gen Z. I mean, it's not a bad thing, but I have two questions:
Is there still a market for these businesses?
What are some alternative startup ideas similar to cafes and clothing stores? Like foreigners haru kya cool way ma small stores run garirako hunxan ni, tehi way ma
I'm asking because I think I want to start one of these businesses or something different on my own. I'm just bored

I mean, cafe and clothing store owners are using tags like "building" and "founder" in their Instagram bios, so I guess it makes sense to use "startup" for these businesses too
And you must be from a tech background haha, got ya

also anything tech does not mean startup. the problem is everyone has started accepting everything as startups, founders! Example: if a lawyer starts a law firm, does he now become a founder? And the law firm startup?

Nepal ma innovation culture chaina. Maybe it's because of financial vulnerability but almost everyone becomes a trader: import and sell.

Firstly, it looks like easy money. Low investment; you can get supplies on credit (pay after sale in many cases), and the margin looks like a lucrative deal. So it is obvious that everyone wants to do these businesses.
We tend to keep numbers on paper (or in an Excel Sheet), and they find these sorts of businesses to be profitable.
But operating is troublesome. The most important thing is
1) Location: No matter how good you design, how much your service is better or price is competitive, the bad location will turn off your business momentum. So look at the location.
2) Your knowledge in the sector: If you have no knowledge or experience, don't invest. It will be very expensive learning. Do some research; work in a similar company/organization before starting your own.
3) Staff: In a small business, staff is hard to find and harder to retain. So you need to get involved everyday. So if you think that doing business will make you your own boss, don't do it. You will literally become a slave of yourself.
So don't start this business just because you are bored. Monthly rent, staff expenses, and your working capital for at least for 3 months to 6 months before your store starts to make money, everything will drain you out.
Hope it helps.

Cafe ,phone shop ,clothing studio or online clothing and acchar and chatpate they are the currently running on market ,they all are good but you need to or you should be able to sell and for selling you need to advertise, many shutdown after 2 3 month first few month they are hyped up story everywhere video about their shop and then slowly few customer rent and all ,so yeah if you can advertise you can start any else you just wait and keep waiting for people

In my opinion, clothing business is a bit oversaturated so I don't think you expect much.
Cafe is booming right now but, they are restaurant just named "Cafe". Don't get me wrong I working at Barista Training center for 2 years and I was privilege to know a lot of things about coffee and cafe so, I might sound a bit biased. You have to be specific, what problem you want to solve. I would say you have two option, one a good cafe which genuinely offer good coffee, another a trendy cafe. Trendy cafe I see everywhere, but a cafes who provide a good coffee are very few. Believe me or not, trendy cafe has the worst coffee. If you want to build a good cafe, I would say first learn about coffee then start.
